He said a lot of things and so did his apostles. Can’t cherry pick scriptures you have to divide the word correctly. No one can follow the law everyone fails and everyone deserves to die. You want the law? You can have it and everything that goes with it. Jesus is youre forgiveness for the laws you break. You don’t have to sacrifice a dove or a heifer. He is the sacrifice for everything literally the last blood sacrifice God requires no more dragging animals to a temple. The Bible also says in Roman’s 2:12 that if you follow the law then you will be judged by it. So just don’t follow it anymore. Jesus already fulfilled it for us. Christians don’t ignore the laws against murder, lying, stealing, etc. In fact, Christ called us to even higher levels of righteousness that exceeded the Pharisees’ impure thoughts and hypocrisy with faith and love. The wages of sin were paid by Christ, and we cannot be saved by our own righteousness, ONLY through faith in Him. And out of love and gratitude for salvation shouldn’t we still lean in to the clearly stated preferences stated in the Torah? Not because it makes us better than anyone else, but because God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Faith can make us clean, even if we drink poison, but it pleased God to bless Israelites keeping kosher in Babylon. He blessed Samson for not cutting his hair. It pleased God to call His children to visually distinguish themselves from pagans through dress and hair styles. Why not continue traditions, NOT TO SAVE US, but simply to please Him who we seek to love with all that we are? Christ fulfilled the law, not abolished, and God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I think your on the proper side of this issue. But it sounds like your reasoning within your self. I choose to be obedient because He said so. And we are no longer under interchangeable priesthoods by reason of death, but Christ is now our High Priest with an unchangeable priesthood. And not only are we commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves per the OT, Christ adds that we must also love one another as He has loved us because He gave us a living example to follow in the NT.

He isn’t saying that the Law is void, he's just saying that we dont rely on the law anymore to have a relationship with God. We have a relationship with God through faith in His Son, of course the law still stands but it's not the basis of salvation. Besides, most of the laws back in the day were mostly about sanitation like the quarantine, washing clothes and washing hands, or prohibiting tattoos and eating potentially poisonous animals. The Law was never the bases for salvation. It has always been by faith,. That's why we have the hero's of "faith". The law is God's heart and character, we cannot know Yeshua without knowing the father. We cannot know the father apart from His Torah. Obedience or at the attempt to keep God's laws is simply the evidence that we trust God and want to please Him.
Jesus said those who do not follow the laws and teach they are not important will not get into heaven. While we will never be perfect we are humans and fail every day we have to strive to be a close to Jesus as possible.

Was not necessary to Paul to meet Jesus since he was talking with all disciples of Jesus being 12 plus many hundreds Jews who saw Jesus being resurrected. In a spiritually way Paul saw Christ written in the Law of Moses(John 1:45 Luke 24:44,27 much more clearly than the disciples saw Christ in real.

What is Romans 5 19? If you analyze this carefully, Christians are supposed to follow the Law of Moses as well. Jesus was Jewish, he didn't come to proclaim Christianity or a new religion, if you analyze it carefully, the accurate religion is Judaism but with the inclusion of Jesus as the messiah and Christ. The Law of Moses still stands, its some of our Christian brothers today who are deciding what to follow and what not to follow. Jesus did not come to abolish the law of Moses but to fulfill it. The goal of the instruction (Torah, Law-they’re synonymous) is Jesus. He did not come to abolish the instruction, but to fulfill it. Pray and ask the Lord to open your mind to understand the scriptures by the Holy Spirit. Read through the Bible and take notes with questions. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that helps us and guides us into all truth.

Im currently going through the exact same thing and heres where im at currently… the old testament and old laws give us insight into Gods mind and heart, but you have to keep in mind the mosiac Law was Gods design for ancient isreal, so rather than blindly following a law using the bible as a rule book, its better that we dive into the old law and understand what Gods intention was for that law at the time it was written. In this way if we know the old law we know Gods heart and thus the heart of Jesus, and through his holy spirit the ancient isrealites did not have we are now led. With that being said theres still many laws from old testament that pretty implicitly convey Gods intention in a timeless manor. But certain laws that were meant to set apart the isrealites from the gentiles are no longer quite applicable since Jesus has brought all man into Gods kingdom. We can still take those non applicable laws and apply Gods overall intention to our lives. For example, ancient isrealites had to wear certain woven garments that gentiles did not which set them apart. In Christ we’re called to an even higher standard of being a light to the world that others will be attracted to and ultimately bring them to be saved. This is how i interpret Jesus fullfilling the old testament. But implicit laws like “dont murder people” pretty much directly carry over at face value because Gods intent is pretty straight forward.
No. Not all laws apply to every person. I have done the same thing that you are doing. Some laws were for everybody. Some were only for single women, some only for married women, some for levite priests only, some for men only, some for livestock owners and farmers, etc. There is absolutely no way that every law applies to every person at any time or ever did.

It is true, everyone has sinned which is punishable by death. That's why we need a Savior, but we can be led by a shepherd and disciplined (discipled) in obedience to God's Laws. Read Psalm 119, it is David's longest Psalm for a reason!

God's word isn't changing he doesn't create a new covenant he might add to but he does not change. Jesus said not one tittle will pass until all is accomplished. Revelation hasn't happened yet... So nothing from the law has changed. Jesus said I did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill fulfill the means of salvation. Does not mean we no longer have to obey God.

What you say is not true, because the Jews(Israel) do not seek salvation only for themselves, according to the Torah (part of the Old Testament according to the Christian method) any Gentile(non-Jew) who fulfills the 7 commandments of Noah's sons is called according to the Torah a Righteous Gentile and he/she will get to reach the next world.
Earth is still here and has not passed(Matthew5:17-19)(Rev 21) and the word used in Matthew is whosoever not gentile nor Jew. Sin is still transgression of the law(1John 3:4) for a "whosoever." Romans6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. Quick example: To demonstrate your love to God (1 John 5:3). The way I’ve interpreted this is that the laws used to function as like a scorecard. You had to check all the boxes, and your sins were counted. Even having to sacrifice animals to balance out your “sin score.” After Jesus died, we no longer had to play this numbers game. Because He was the ultimate sacrifice. If you accept His forgiveness you are forgiven. You no longer have to sacrifice an animal to counter getting a haircut. So if you want to observe some of the old laws for tradition then that’s fine, but don’t use that as a way to boast or feel proud of yourself. 🤍
No Temple sacrifice in the OT provided for ultimate, complete forgiveness of sins, salvation or eternal life. It was never about that. Only Jesus’ blood could do that. That’s why the New Covenant is better. Not because of any of the OT laws were bad. They just didn’t provide for salvation for sinners.

Now list all verses to the left that occur PRIOR to Mt Sinai. (yes all 10 are seen prior to Mt Sinai) Now make a list on the right hand side that are seen post-cross. (yes all 10 are seen post cross). Once you see that for yourself... you'll see that they are basic God laws for A-L-L of mankind. Not just Israel in between Mt Sinai and the Cross. And spoiler alert... out of the 10, the 7th Day Sabbath is the easiest to see.

Some christians believe it was created in exactly 6 days while others think the 6 days were metaphorical and spanned thousands of years. We really don’t know unfortunately. I personally like to take the passages from the bible more literally unless it is a parable obviously.

What a load of doookie. Never does the Bible say to eat bacon… the Bible says over and over that God’s law is perfect. John defines sin as transgression of the law. Paul says we should not sin but if we do we have an advocate in Jesus. This is such bad theology. Christ was the end of the law for salvation, He was not the end of the law. “One Jot or one Tittle shall I’m no wise pass from the law until heaven and earth pass away.” Love God and love each other, on these two hang all the law and the profits. If God’s law is perfect and you love your Father, your spirit would desire to keep his law even if your flesh wants to fight it.

Christians don’t ignore the laws against murder, lying, stealing, etc. In fact, Christ called us to even higher levels of righteousness that exceeded the Pharisees’ impure thoughts and hypocrisy with faith and love. The wages of sin were paid by Christ, and we cannot be saved by our own righteousness, ONLY through faith in Him.
And out of love and gratitude for salvation shouldn’t we still lean in to the clearly stated preferences stated in the Torah? Guys give the man a little grace will you? I think youre misunderstanding him a little bit. He isn’t saying that the Law is void, he's just saying that we dont rely on the law anymore to have a relationship with God. We have a relationship with God through faith in His Son, of course the law still stands but it's not the basis of salvation. Besides, most of the laws back in the day were mostly about sanitation like the quarantine, washing clothes and washing hands, or prohibiting tattoos and eating potentially poisonous animals. The Law was never the bases for salvation. It has always been by faith,. That's why we have the hero's of "faith". The law is God's heart and character, we cannot know Yeshua without knowing the father. We cannot know the father apart from His Torah. Obedience or at the attempt to keep God's laws is simply the evidence that we trust God and want to please Him.
Jesus said those who do not follow the laws and teach they are not important will not get into heaven. While we will never be perfect we are humans and fail every day we have to strive to be a close to Jesus as possible.

What is Romans 5 19?

If you analyze this carefully, Christians are supposed to follow the Law of Moses as well. Jesus was Jewish, he didn't come to proclaim Christianity or a new religion, if you analyze it carefully, the accurate religion is Judaism but with the inclusion of Jesus as the messiah and Christ. The Law of Moses still stands, its some of our Christian brothers today who are deciding what to follow and what not to follow. Jesus did not come to abolish the law of Moses but to fulfill it. Jesus was born Jewish and ascended to heaven with his same faith, so shouldn't we follow the same faith as Jesus?

The goal of the instruction (Torah, Law-they’re synonymous) is Jesus. He did not come to abolish the instruction, but to fulfill it. Pray and ask the Lord to open your mind to understand the scriptures by the Holy Spirit. Read through the Bible and take notes with questions. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that helps us and guides us into all truth.

Im currently going through the exact same thing and heres where im at currently… the old testament and old laws give us insight into Gods mind and heart, but you have to keep in mind the mosiac Law was Gods design for ancient isreal, so rather than blindly following a law using the bible as a rule book, its better that we dive into the old law and understand what Gods intention was for that law at the time it was written. In this way if we know the old law we know Gods heart and thus the heart of Jesus, and through his holy spirit the ancient isrealites did not have we are now led.
With that being said theres still many laws from old testament that pretty implicitly convey Gods intention in a timeless manor. But certain laws that were meant to set apart the isrealites from the gentiles are no longer quite applicable since Jesus has brought all man into Gods kingdom. We can still take those non applicable laws and apply Gods overall intention to our lives. For example, ancient isrealites had to wear certain woven garments that gentiles did not which set them apart. In Christ we’re called to an even higher standard of being a light to the world that others will be attracted to and ultimately bring them to be saved. This is how i interpret Jesus fullfilling the old testament.

No. Not all laws apply to every person. I have done the same thing that you are doing. Some laws were for everybody. Some were only for single women, some only for married women, some for levite priests only, some for men only, some for livestock owners and farmers, etc. There is absolutely no way that every law applies to every person at any time or ever did.

The way I’ve interpreted this is that the laws used to function as like a scorecard. You had to check all the boxes, and your sins were counted. Even having to sacrifice animals to balance out your “sin score.” After Jesus died, we no longer had to play this numbers game. Because He was the ultimate sacrifice. If you accept His forgiveness you are forgiven. You no longer have to sacrifice an animal to counter getting a haircut. So if you want to observe some of the old laws for tradition then that’s fine, but don’t use that as a way to boast or feel proud of yourself. 🤍
No Temple sacrifice in the OT provided for ultimate, complete forgiveness of sins, salvation or eternal life. It was never about that. Only Jesus’ blood could do that. What a load of doookie. Never does the Bible say to eat bacon… the Bible says over and over that God’s law is perfect. John defines sin as transgression of the law. Paul says we should not sin but if we do we have an advocate in Jesus. This is such bad theology. Christ was the end of the law for salvation, He was not the end of the law. “One Jot or one Tittle shall I’m no wise pass from the law until heaven and earth pass away.” Love God and love each other, on these two hang all the law and the profits. If God’s law is perfect and you love your Father, your spirit would desire to keep his law even if your flesh wants to fight it.
