In the beginning of the game it is good practice to store pump and store water first next grow and store food that doesn't need to be processed. Another good thought is to build where you can't grow so you have more green space to grow more crops and trees. Thanks for the videos.
Beavers can build on something one tile above them. So if they build a levy to their feet, they can build the triple floodgates on top of one block levi.
8:30 There's also an additional penalty for very narrow stretches of water. If it's narrower than 3 tiles, then the evaporation rate is much higher, so you want water to be at least 3 wide.
Im not sure If you have fixed this by now but it would do you good to lower your game volume as it over powers your voice volume either that or increase your voice volume in post, but great vid keep it up.
Thanks for the suggestion! I've been slowly trying to up my editing game. I think in the video or two after this one I switched to recording the in-game audio into a separate channel so I could lower its volume compared to my voice.
