I like Izzy a lot, reminds me of a Nigerian friend from Ireland whom I met living there back in the days. Similar energy. My friend's favourite song is 'Don't worry, be happy'. I get similar vibe from watching Izzy in the cameras view. My heart is with both fighters, they both diserve their moment of truth, although Izzie's career scope seems way broader right now. Jan just got to were he wanted to be at 37. Izzy is much younger, and he has at least couple of years to make his dream of slaying all kinds of monsters come true. why do I see so many comments about Izzy that make absolutely no sense?? He literally is the best, and he knows he is the best... who is better??? he doesn't fight opposite to every fighter... he fights better than them, he is way faster, way taller/longer, and more precise than them. When has he beat a fighter he wasn't better than? Like what makes you say any of this???
Him being in the same category "his whole life" would make sense to say everything is different because being in the same category the whole time, he sees guys switching into his category from other categories often and he can see where their weak areas are, so the cardio will be very different and he has seen that affect people before. I think that is what he means.
Well you gotta watch older izzy fights, especially kickboxing he entered 2 different weight classes won them both in tournament. It was all in 3 days if I'm not wrong
If you're referring to the King of the ring tournaments Izzy won, twice at 184-195 & one at 220, except Izzy never weighed more than 190, those things are done in a night, so there's the 1st round Robin fight, winner goes through to 1/4 final, winner of that goes through to the semifinals and so on. Izzy will be faster but he can not run i 5 rounds and Blachowicz is known for being the strongest in 205 weight class, OK, Izzy might dance around him in 5 minutes but Blachowicz will get him in second or third round just like Khabib got his opponent who was avoiding him.
@@JohnnySnipshow Well usually a fighter doesn't cut weight unless he moves up a weight class and usually guys that move up a weight make the mistake of bulking up. Putting on weight isn't going to give you more cardio it's going to give you less, Izzy said he's not bulking up so he's probably going to have better cardio because he doesn't have to dehydrate himself the day before fighting. I don't see how dehydrating yourself would give you more cardio, sure you have to do some more running but that's all done around 36 hours before the fight unless you have a crazy big weight cut, but doing some running 48 hours before the fight isn't really going to change your cardio that much.
Should be a good, even contest. As opposed to the Izzy vs Jones fight that will be 3 rounds of calf kicks, followed by 2 of Jon tying him up and winning a decision.

@@roflswamp6 I see your point and understand it but I don’t think any fighter has an easy life. Their line of work is really really hard that’s why not a lot of people compete in combat sports. It’s not an easy life by any means. Sure izzy’s family was rich and sure he chose to be a fighter but he still had to work hard every single day to get where he is. They both had to. Izzy may have some natural talent but a lot of his talent comes hard work going to the gym everyday. People don’t understands the pressure some people carry when their parents are super successful. If the kid has a good head on his shoulders then that kid will feel pressure to succeed. Izzy jumped in another realm that was foreign to his family and still succeeded. His wins weren’t just handed to him because his family had money, he had to work hard too. There’s pros and cons to being born in a rich family just like there are being born in a poor family. When you’re poor sometimes that pressure helps you to succeed. So many people see being born wealthy as something that comes without any cons but sometimes being born rich creates weak minded people. Izzy is not one of those people. He works hard and deserves everything he has earned too just like Jan. I went on a tangent but my point is they both have worked hard.
Don't forget Adesanya has fought in higher weight classes in both kick boxing and boxing - so he has already "adjusted" and felt the power of bigger guys before. Not to mention that sparring is the time when you find guys as similar to your opponent as possible to replicate the size power speed and style.
Izzy's done this before in 8 man tournaments at the 220lbs weight except all of his opponents were 220lbs, Izzy was 185-190. He won the tournament 3 times, twice at cruiserweight 184-195lbs and once at the 220lb limit.

the only part that carries over no matter what Izzy does is what Jan brings to the table. Does Jan have more power than anybody in the middleweight class? He is a bigger man than they are and can possibly absorb more than they can. should be a crazy fight
Jan has an excellent ground game. He's a BJJ Black belt under Joe Moreira, who's an 8th degree coral belt. He's also quite random on his feet, makes him dangerous with that heavy hands
i wouldnt say chin, to me his the ground, jan takedowns are not that to take izzy down but hes submissions are very good, so if in a scramble he gets adesanya in the floor he will submit him without any problem, adesanya ground game is not good as ppl make it look, stuffing takdowns from brunson dont mean nothing, vettori took him down every round, im not mma fighter im purple belt in bjj and i can see in a fight against vettori his defense was very very bad he improved alot but any decent grappler finish him without problem, the triangle against ,kelvin was very sloppy, hes footwork is very good wich help him stay out takedown range, other than that he should favourite against jan,
Is what makes Adesanya so dangerous is simple...he's got the time in. He's seen so many fighting styles, body types, promotional platforms, travelled the world, etc. Nothing phases him, he's very confident and obviously talented. Anyone can lose, this is true...but I don't see it being to Jan.

The only worry I have about this is that it's gonna be Izzy hanging out on the outside, moving around and tagging for points but that there won't be a finish. I think it would be nice to see a finish.
Maybe there are ppl that know that kind of stuff, and they advice you to not change weight category because you will have different cardio, speed and timing xD We call them trainers, a looot of them were fighters before and maybe they know this from their own experience. Humanity have a history of learning on a mistakes of previous generations :P
Striking arts don't tend to have openweight or absolute categories, but in BJJ absolute category for example sometimes a talented smaller guy does really well.. Claudio Calasans, Caio Terra... and Jonnatas Gracie who took out 3 ultra heavyweights on his way to gold. In boxing catchweight fights, although the lighter fighter often loses there have been exceptions.
Of course, the longer fight goes the higher chances are for Izzy. Izzy is very tall, evasive, fast. You cant just jump around - keep blocking, reacting to faints when you are 230 Lbs. At beginning of 3rd round, its gonna be a struggle.
Izzy said he walksled around at approximately 210lb when he first became champ. He was allegedly 225lb when he was training for Paula Acosta and is most probably 205lb lean minus the excess mass right now. It all goes down whether Izzy's killer instincts can keep him away from Jan's 1 punch KO power. Anything less than MUI and Broly flatlines Goku in this sense.

you don't have to drive around the globe to find out is not flat and you don't have to touch the sun to find out if is hot. So why Jan has to change the category to find out about the speed and power differences?
Izzy walks at 205 he said, he won't cut weight, i get that he will have the speed and cardio advantage, but this is not kickboxing. In wrestling and grappling size is a huge factor, maybe he will survive Jan, but I think that against a guy like Jones he will feel the size disadvantage a lot
I guess it depends on what he's doing in the gym. If in the gym he is training against high-level grapplers at a bigger weight than him, then he's already prepared for that. If he keeps his takedown defense technique flawless, he won't have much to worry about.
See there are 2 ways to approach a fight. You can work harder, be tougher, or you can be right, and never wrong. Izzy realizes that size does not matter as long as he performs like he has against costa and Whittaker. He has changed since the gastelum fight and doesnt take unnecessary risk, much like jones. Izzy just bieleves he is going to beat jones. He honestly thinks that size will not be a factor. Like he says, he sees all this in the comments, he doesnt care. That's his point. His why is the fact that you doubt him. That gives him a very real chance to give jones his first KO loss, like he did Costa. Obviously jones is better than costa miles better, but it seems like izzy wants the goat title and I think if he KOs jones like idk how you could possibly not give it to him. Considering the people hes beat, and who they've beat, you can see why izzy realizes his opportunity to make history. Imagine that.
Wrestling only works if u can take your opponent down. I think Jan is going to be too slow to take Izzy down. Izzy is going to be too fast and too dynamic and its going to frustrate Jan into making too many mistakes. Its going to be a great fight either way though.
Chael, to me the only question is: will Blachowicz be able to do what Romero and Costa were supposed to do and didn't do which is rush Adesenya and overwelm him with powerful punches. To me that's all I am expecting to see since the Romero fight on...
the UFC will never run out of stars, it has just started, and the world is filled with talented fighters, both now, and in the future, also izzy will smoke that dude.

Before talking about Izzy watch his kickboxing fights. He faced opponents bigger than him in two weight divisions, he's young but have a huge experience and he's improving constantly. Recently he's been training in Ju Jitsu (or ground fight, whatever).
And he lost some of those kickboxing fights. Got put to sleep in one. Kickboxing ain't the ufc. People keep saying this like it's relevant to the ufc. The rules are totally different. You can slam people in the ufc. You can submit people in the ufc.

I was thinking, completely unrelated to this, if there has ever been a fighter who's fought underweight in their class. If Izzy beats Jan like that he's gonna be making history.
BJ Penn had to do some crazy shit to fight up in weight in Japan. He weighed in at 191 (some rumors said this was faked and he was more like 170, and fought Lyoto Machida who weighed in at 225 lbs. He also beat Rorigo Gracie at MW in Japan. Edit: he also beat Renzo Gracie at 185

I think when fighters don't cut weight they r way slower and have no gas tank

@@willrob3951 Jan will be too scared to clinch, he’s gonna realize quickly that he’s outclassed in the striking and be afraid to get countered as he’s going into the clinch. You will see
@@tylerjeffer8855 I'm definitely not betting against izzy but if Jan gets him on his back, he'll be in a lot of trouble.
@@willrob3951 it will be hard for Jan to do that, izzy is so good at keeping the distance, we will see what will happen. Both are incredible fighters.
@@tylerjeffer8855 too scared? Looked to me that izzy was the scared one, he did as much against Jan as he did agsinst Romero, low kicks and thats about it
you don't have to drive around the globe to find out is not flat and you don't have to touch the sun to find out if is hot.
Imagine Jan winning.. dana would be so disappointed haha.. isreal is the ufc last super star 🌟
the UFC will never run out of stars, it has just started, and the world is filled with talented fighters, both now, and in the future, also izzy will smoke that dude.
what?!

Mohammed El badmoussi they lacked stars... that’s how Izzy took over so fast. Masvidal was always that guy: he never got the recognition. They may struggle soon. Name their champs who matter 😶
Jon Jones is still a star, he was just so dominant that it backfired. JJ vs Stipe, JJ vs N’gannou both super fights!
@@jakebarnes7262 Adesanya has a kickboxing record of 80 fights, 5 losses (1 by KO), 75 wins, then went to UFC with 20 wins, 0 losses so far. He's already a legend to many people.
Even if he gets a UFC record of 30-0 and two belts, haters like you will keep on saying he's fake, skinny, and remember that fight he lost some years ago.
Edit: he also beat Renzo Gracie at 185
Edgar the og. Penn too cause he's crazy.
Cain Velasquez was 240lbs when he beat Lesnar at 265lbs.
Silva did it when he stepped in to fight Bonnar.
Izzy has fought all the way up to heavyweight in kickboxing and has done very well, I don’t think he would go up if he didn’t think he could do it but there’s no telling what’s gonna happen it’s a fight , And I think it will be a good one
I'd love to see Jan put his lights out
Same. I Iike underdog jan
I predict that will been predicting that will happen izzy finna get knocked out
Yes. Izzy has shown that he can keep the distance to his advantage. However I think if he gets touched it’s a ko, polish power is real.
Adesanya was kickboxing at 220lbs before. Just something to keep in mind- guy has over 100 fights. Not saying he's the favourite, but he's done that transition before.
Not one of those guys he fought even has a Wikipedia page
@@lakehouse1607 Yes because Wiki is the source of all credible information? Even I can make a page for them if I so wish.
