Those are beautiful Sandra! I watcheda channel yesterday Artist all she does is resin. With her she always puts clear resin in Coaster first and she lets that set up for like 4 to 5 hours not hard but tacky. Then she adds her layers of Glitters pigments & like ur snowflakes pictures whatever you using . Then let's that set and then tops with clear resin. She claims and it DID work for her that's the only way to keep your glitter & colors where you want it.And it won't sink. I just thought I'd share that with you but you probably already know that. L o l Again those are beautiful!!!
Thank you. They didn't sink. I was quite surprised. But this resin is thicker than the medium viscosity. I did not want the blue tint to cover them... So it worked out pretty well. Is it Sherry Moulton you are talking about? I love her coasters. I just added the thin coat of resin after they had set up to seal in the glitter and make sure the snowflakes didn't get messed up with cups being put on top of them
SANDRA , THESE ARE SO STUNNING . I LOVE THESE N THE COLORS ARE PERFECT FOR THEM . THE SILVER USED REALLY POPS THEM BEAUTIFULLY . HAPPY POURING / RESIN TO YOU . I HOPE YOUR HOLIDAYS BRING YOU ALL THE BLESSINGS YOU SO DESERVE IN YOUR JOURNEY . LOVE THESE N THE COLORS U USED IN THESE COASTERS
No it's Grimm's crafting tails. She just did a video on full resin tutorial with a picture of a Santa coasters * 2 she's the one sorry I get confused LOL
HELLO SANDRA , I LOVE THESE COLORS TOGETHER HERE , may i ask you if the outer edge the first color you used in this if it is the BLACK DIAMOND LUX BLUE .?? I USED IT IN MY FIRST SET OF GEODE COASTERS A FEW WEEKS AGO , along with there DEEP BLUE SEA pigment n also the WHITE DIAMOND EFFECT pigment , It created a very cool effect in my coasters . It was however my first ones I ever done n I think the details in them are pretty cool n I was told that they look 3D looking n the crushed mirror glass n glitters i put into them they said it looked as if they were floating . I was wondering if you could please give me your thoughts on them please if you have a moment n I send the photos of them to you , I have not yet finished the last details of embellishment to them , i was thinking maybe a silver gilding paint to the edges n maybe a topcoat too . I really love your snowflakes in these , there sooo beautiful . HAPPY POURING / RESIN TO YOU . I will send you the photos of my undone geode coasters n if you could please may I ask you for some feedback on them please . THANKYOU SANDRA , YOUR THE BEST !!!!!!!!
Hey there, Sandra! These are classic, as well as beautiful. You have an innate talent for colors which I'm trying to learn. Not easy-boohoo. Thanks for sharing this!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I absolutely love these coaster, stunning. Did you touch the bottom of the coasters when you used the long pick to make the lines? I am a newbie in resin.
I didn't make any lines. I just set the snowflakes down in the resin (as it was starting to cure and very tacky) I used the skewer to probably press any points down that may not have wanted to lay flat. Then after it is cured about 4 hours. I add the final clear coat on top before unmolding it out of the silicone molds. Then the silver edges is the last step
I was not drawing lines. The resin is almost set up, but slightly tacky. You wait to lay the snowflakes in on top of resin before it cures. I was using the skewer to press all the point from tips to middle to make sure it was adhering to the tacky resin. You do not want to lay them down on it too early, or they will sink. Then I allow a full cure and then finish the top coat over the snowflakes to embed them fully in resin and then let them cure and remove from the molds. @@margaretmathis4775
