I'm 53 yrs old. I was 12 at the time of this concert. Is it wrong for a grown man to shed some tears of joy at the beginning of this video? Man nobody made an impact on me like KISS did in the 70's. I mean just seeing their image on the cover of a new magazine made me lose my mind! To this day I still cherish my KISS Collectables!

I must have unknowingly been pretty close to the guy who filmed this as its the exact angle I saw the show from. Will never forget, when Gene went up on that rising platform and spit up the blood he pointed into the audience. And I swear to this very day he was pointing right at me! Can you imagine how exciting it was for a kid of 14 from England to turn up at a massive venue like The Forum(we had nothing like it in England then!), see people smoking dope in the car park, going in, seeing these massive speakers hanging from the ceiling, then seeing Kiss in their prime? Ros Radley, THE undisputed king of KISS photo research helped us identify the venue as Madison Square Garden, by the drapes hanging on the side of the stage, which were only used at the MSG gigs. You can see the drapes during God of Thunder when the fireball effect takes place. Also, the audio from the other 2 nights (12-14 and 12-16), which we have, do not match at all. Not even close.

I CAN'T believe KISS never filmed these concerts! It was a BIG thing for them then as a NY band to headline at the Gardens, a mere 4 years after they started!
    Strange!

It could be because they made a lot of mistakes live. Every time I've seen them live somebody in the band makes a mistake.Most.
Minor enough the average fan would not notice.But.Gene and Paul are perfectionists so...

Ah....the good 'ole days. Back when you bought your $9.00 ticket from the record store (which you thought was a fortune)....drive to the collisium, walk in unmolested (no metal detectors and body cavity searches), buy your T-Shirt and picture program booklet which you spent 3 months saving for....grab some snacks, take your girl by the hand and go sit down and enjoy some classic rock 'n roll!!
I miss the innocence of the 1970's....

Don't forget the Chruch Organizers with their bull horns telling everyone that if they enter that Coliseum, they're betraying Jesus Christ and expect their souls tormented in Hell for all eternity. Well, that's what it was here in Corpus Christi Texas back in the day. See in Hell my friend;)
