I love that this band is embracing it's positive energy in their music. Their simply isn't enough good heavy music out there these days that sends this kind of message.

it's called progressive. It's good and Gojira is awesome but it's not really new. It exists as early as 1960-70. Believe it or not, we have pop music to thank for its existence. Prog pop/rock was really big back then. And then Punk killed it in the 80's by favouring simple riffs. Pop went stupid. Metal later revives it back.

There were a lot of financial struggles in my life, however i have struggled hard and now have been working as a software developer in Bangalore from 5 years. As all of you may know India is going through a health crisis due to corona because of which i have come home and have been working from home for 6 months. Is this finally going to be the Album to push This band to headline festivals in the US and Beyond. They deserve to play 2 hours or more for every festival appearance.
Unfortunately not 1 festival here in America is giving them that chance. They played several headline slots in the past 2 years
The empowerment is real, like most of your songs. I like metal songs to talk about depressing stuff and being in touch with your more vulnerable parts. But, there is something enchanting in how you transmit self-validation and positivity trough your songs. I'm moved.

False accusations and separation from my 2 young sons... 8 year relationship cheated on and blamed for everything for busting her in the act.... Shit on in court even with a good attorney I hired... I wanted to give up on life. I was very close, alot of 4am phone calls with my mom and even my Boss a crying wrecked mess... I was promoted at the time to a shift lead ... I can tell everyone that once you hit the bottom... Push off and head for that air and light on the surface... Get away from that toxic person that is literally ruining your life... I'm 29 and being in the dark like that was terrifying ... I made it to the surface with a few friends and family that helped me and I did exactly what this song speaks versus on.... I hopped into the storm fucking ready.... I didn't give up so you shouldn't either... Catch your wave and ride that motherfucker to the shore... Walk another day don't sink... I hope this helps someone that is struggling.

It's not a rip-off though, it's an evolution and progression on what they started. Bands like The Yellow Sign and Ignite The Ibex are more Cloneshuggah. And yes, I understand Heavy Devy was using self-deprecating humour. 😁

Damn, that chorus is melodic and catchy af. Not something you see too often with Gojira.
While I feel Gojira has often incorporated more melodic elements into their music, I feel this song in particular is definitely giving off "new" Gojira energy. Very melodic, while still incorporating those heavy elements. Absolutely love it!
