Morning Maddie,I can't pick a favorite today. I love all the cowries and sand snails. Hope you have a great day and stay safe out there. Much love to you and ninja from all of us ❤❤❤❤
G'day Sheila 👋🏻💖 There was a lot of fun finds in this one; not bad for a visit during the school holidays! Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply after a big weekend away 🙏🏻
Big Beautiful Operculum!!! That one was a really nice size. 👍🏼 I’m very excited that you are starting to find the Arabian cowries. That’s the fun thing about seasons changing. ☀️🌧️☃️ The moon snail comparison was great. The blue is my choice, and I love the Spanglers trumpets. You know my absolute favorites, but there are other shells I really really like and never tire of you finding them! 💜 But my favorite today was the rosy spindle shell. Wonderful adventure Maddie! Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 Hehe, you do love the Operculums!! Ahhh yes, I was hoping to find more glossy Arabians though...it's been a very slow winter for them so far! Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place at the right time?? Anyway! The blue Flat Sand Snail was a great one; blue is such an unusual colour in animals. Oh wow, and the pinkish Rosy Spindle Cowrie was the favourite 😲 I do know how much you link pink! If only there were pink Operculums too!! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
G'day Guadalupe 👋🏻💖 The Checkerboard Bonnet was lovely this time; so unusually with its markings like that. Ohh those Thick-edged Cowries are nice when they're worn away to a blue colour, aren't they! Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply after a big weekend away.
G'day Green Thumb Gardener 👋🏻🐚☘️ This particular Checkered Bonnet is really cool with a slightly different pattern than normal 😁 the shell is also extra thin, it's a very delicate one! Thanks for watching 🥰
G'day Donna 👋🏻💖 The sand snails were very cute - actually, I did forget a colour; they can sometimes be pinkish as well 🐌! Oh my goodness, I'm sorry(?) that the coffee came out of the nose place 😂 I thought I said a regular thing, was that actually a funny thing?? I feel like I'm in some kind of 'poet and I didn't even know it' sort of situation right now 🤣 Thanks for watching 🥰 and I hope you enjoyed the rest of that coffee ☕
Hiya Maddie,🌺🎀🫶 my favourite flat sand snail of the day would be the pearly white one🤍(not sure if I’m imagining, but I really like the little hint of pink on it😙)!!though it was very hard to choose🤩 also the Rosie spindle cowrie is gorgeous🥰 🎀it faded into a very beautiful pink colour!!🌸:D such a fantastic shell find!🐚✨Byeee take caree love ya!😆😆
G'day Selena 👋🏻💖 I don't think that you imagines the pink in the white Flat Sand Snail 🐌 I can even find pink ones but I forgot to mention that! The white ones have a little pink sometimes. Oh yes, the Rosy Spindle Cowrie was faded, but still a nice uncommon shell to find 😁 Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply while I was away over the weekend 🙏🏻
G'day Jeff 👋🏻🏖️ Oh my goodness, I hope the weather has improved for you by now! It's been rainy here too...I can't wait for the sunshine to return! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
G'day Tina 👋🏻🏖️ Ohhh those differently coloured Flat Sand Snails were super nice!! Truthfully, I didn't get a pink one; they can sometimes pop up too! Thanks for watching 🥰
Hey Richard 👋🏻🐚 There was a nice variety this time 🤩 even though some of the cowries were a little worn away, they still displayed some lovely colours and patterns. Thanks for watching 🥰
Hello Maddie, I never found you on Tuesday. Some new seashells. Love the different flat sand snails. Love the rough edged cowrie and lettered mitre. You take care now please. Much 💘 TRUDY
G'day Trudy 👋🏻💖 Oh yes, this episode did have several new shell species, didn't it 🤩 it was nice to see them; I even got some corrections for the species names that I got wrong with my research this time. It was a really fun day out at the beach 🏖️ Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply after a big weekend away 🙏🏻 I'm still catching up on everything everywhere right now!
G'day Hilary 👋🏻🏖️ Ohhh you really liked the uncommon shells from this trip! The shuttle shell and Lettered Mitre were such cuties 😍 Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply after a big weekend away 🙏🏻
G’day Jas 👋🏻💖 Oh my goodness, I hope you’re doing okay!!! Oral surgery, you’re going to be feeling that one tomorrow 😣 stay distracted!! I hope you recover well 🥰
G’day Brenda 👋🏻💖 Ohh I’m so glad!! The Spengler’s Trumpets are really cool for one of the more common shells; I can’t get enough of them, so I’m pleased that you like them as well 🤩 Thanks so much for watching 🥰
G'day Jan 👋🏻💖 The Shuttle Shell really is a lovely and unusual shell! I wish more of them washed up here, but that just means that they're extra special to find when they rarely pop up. Thank you so, so much for watching 🥰
Hello Maddie 👋 I do love a glossy snakehead but my fav shell today is the second thick edge cowrie. Special mention for the lettered mitre, rosy spindle, and large operculum.
G'day Oceanluvn Gal 👋🏻🌊💖 The glossy Snakeheads are always a fun find; I do end up seeing a lot of not so great ones, so I celebrate a little when I find a nice one 😀 Ohhh the second Thick-edged Cowrie was a favourite too 🤩 I'm pleased that I could retrieve it from that tricky section of water 🌊 Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting until I could get back to you after a big weekend away 🙏🏻
G'day Leslie 👋🏻🏖️ Haha, I will have sand snails of all colours!! Thank you so much for watching 🥰 and for waiting for my reply while I was away over the weekend.
G'day Natalia 👋🏻🐚 Yes, you got it; the school holidays always bring extra people to the beach 🏖️ the parents want to do something fun (and free) with their kiddos! Between you and me, I think the kids always spot the best shells 😂 mostly because they're closer to the ground? Go tiny humans, find those shells!! And even if the families aren't looking for shells, it also makes it harder to find a car park, and just busier in general, though that doesn't have anything to do with a good shelling day. Thanks for watching 🥰
❤ Hello Maddie ☀️ Out of the 3 moons, the blue is speaking to me 😍 The snake heads are common but sure are pretty!!! Congratulations on all the other cowries-just amazing!! For the dull ones have you ever used an epoxy on them? I’m sure they would shine like glass again. I bought this liquid glass/diamond epoxy coating that I can’t wait to try on some dull olives and moons I have 👍🏼
G'day Roxann 👋🏻🏖️ The blue Flat Sand Snail is lovely; blue is such an unusual colour in nature 🐌! Oh yes, those Snakehead Cowries are one of the most numerous cowries see here, but finding a nice glossy one is still a great find on any day (cowries can dull and wear away very quickly when they're tumbled in the sand and rock pools). For using something like acrylic spray or epoxy on the dull ones, I have thought about it 🤔 but for me, I do like the look and feel of the natural shells, so I end up using mineral oil if I need to (especially on drupe shells). Also, and this will sound incredibly spoiled; I can go to the beach often enough that I can keep looking for the best shells that are naturally glossy, and leave behind anything that I don't think I will display at home...finding those "gems" is what keeps me excited and motivated to search the somewhat strenuous rock pools around the beaches here 🏖️ but if a shell was worn and quite rare, then I think I might try to use a spray or epoxy on it 🐌 or maybe I'd leave it natural?? Not sure, actually! I can't wait to see how the liquid glass epoxy looks on your dull olives and moon snails 😲 I need to keep an eye on your Instagram!! Thanks for waiting so long for my reply, I had a biggish weekend away 🙏🏻 and thanks for watching 🥰
@@ShellingAdventures Happy you had a great weekend! Just finished watching your shell show video and shells bought. Just fantastic! Oh I need to update my instagram - getting so bad! SO much to do these days between work, church, shelling and my Ella has officially entered the so called "terrible 2's" which eats up SO much time while working at home, ahhhh. Anyways, I'll make a mental note to let you know about the epoxy coating on the shells :-) Take care
@@FloridaBeachWalks Instagram has fallen through the cracks for me too 😅 Oh wow, she's already that old 🤯 my goodness, have fun with that! Your life is a big juggling act right now; thank you for taking the time to show us your beach adventures despite all of the demands on your time 🙏🏻
@@ShellingAdventures thx for that Maddie! It’s getting balanced -my hubs Corey is the best as is my teenage oldest daughter Skyler…I have great support! Corey is all too happy to help! He has been wanting me to get this shelling channel off the runway for a few years now lol. Anyways, this post made me just updated instagram tonight -thx!!!
G'day again Hilary 👋🏻🏖️ I put the best ones in my shell cabinet! If you want to see the shell cabinet, I made a video of it last year (search for: shell cabinet display tour episode 200). Other than that, I put away the shells that I don't display, and furthermore, I give away a lot of shells to friends that are extra to my needs. I don't have a lot of extra shells right now, I have away a bunch over Christmas, then to a shell swap with a man in Victoria, and then to a friend who visited from New Zealand 😳 but when I leave the beach, I usually leave behind some and take the better ones, and then I decide that to do with them afterwards. I have a lot of shells to return to the beach too 😜 they're too expensive/heavy to send in the post after all! Thanks again for watching 🥰
@@ShellingAdventures I’ve seen the cabinet video. 🤤. And at least one where you “released” some back to the ocean. (I’ve been watching a couple of years!) 😜 But. There always seems to be more than I’ve viewed. So excited you share with fellow collectors. That’s super cool! I’m a “vacation sheller” when it comes to sea shells. I was gifted several adult queen conchs YEARS ago from a gal I met in St. Kitt’s. Alas, I was not as keen on shells then as I am now and let them go. We have lots of freshwater shells here, but they don’t have the same “flavor” as sea shells - having to protect themselves from harsh winters. (Up to -20F) Few Gastropods (land snails) and mostly bivalve clams and mussels after that. 🤷🏻♀️ So, I’m especially thrilled to see what other parts of the world have to offer, and I so appreciate your willingness to share what you find!
Cones!! My favourite today is the Dwarf Cone 😍
I love captain cones and those little ones are so cute.
G'day Susan 👋🏻💖 The Dwarf Cone is a real cutie! Thanks for watching 🥰 and waiting for my reply while I was gone over the weekend 🙏🏻
So beautiful shells 🐚 😍.
G’day Nikoleta 👋🏻❤️ The shelling has been a little slow here lately, but I was still pleased to take home some goodies today 🤩 Thanks for watching 🥰
Wonderful sea shells Maddie. You're so fun to watch.
