Seems odd that he’s suing her 11 years after they cut ties professionally. Also seems weird that as her manager, he wouldn’t have had a contract written.
Why should she be entitled to give him anything after they "parted ways"? That's like me trying to claim an additional salary from the Starbucks I worked at 5 years ago. Oral contracts are legitimate, but what needs to be taken into consideration is the length at which the contract lasts. Since they "parted ways" then isn't it assumed that their oral contract had been mutually broken by either party and any earnings she received afterwards (regardless of their oral contract) are completely hers and not her managers.
To anyone wondering. Lisa lost the case to a freaking verbal agreement. It's appalling that a so called "verbal agreement" would hold in court. It's so easy to fall prey to a frivolous lawsuit.
Managers get 10 percent, and that includes residuals. So of course he won. Read up on some law before making a fool out of yourself. If it wasn't for this manager she would have never gotten work at all. Look where she's at now without him. She is a one-note terrible actress. It's amazing that the manager ever got her any work to begin with.
Fedorevsky Of course he won? What kind jury holds on "verbal agreements"? Also, she's an amazing actress. She was hired because of her talent, not solely because of the opportunity. You sound like you have a personal connection to this, it's ridiculous. You're the only one being a fool here.
All juries hold on verbal agreement. It's the law. You can't change reality just because you like the actress. She admitted the agreement had been made so of course she had to pay.
It's insane the amount of money that actors and sports people get paid. The average joe doesn't make $13,500 in three months. Let alone $1 million an episode.
I still don't understand how this guy could come back and say "we both ended a contract, but since she still gets paid from re-runs then i want a cut too". The contract was over, he should have said something right then and there instead of waiting.

Erm judging by this it means she's made $16 million from Friends re runs even after the show ended, that's why he's getting $1.6 million! Forbid knows what they made in the ten years they were on air, especially the latter part of her career. Couple that with all the work she's done they must all easily have around $100 million. Insane! Whilst i get everyone saying they made huge amounts of money. They get a % of what the show made. The show is nothing without them. I guess it's justified....
No my guy way more than $16 mil bc there’s over 20 episodes in the last season of friends & each member got a million an episode 🥶 also not including the other hunnid thousands from the earlier episodes
An oral agreement means nothing, he is just trying to cash in. If he really felt he deserved a cut he should have written up a contract. Besides it sounds like he didn't do much to get her more money, the six Friends actors stuck together and fought for the million dollars per episode in the last season themselves. They seen what the Seinfeld actors did and they knew what they where worth, without the help of greedy suits and got themselves that money. Lisa should not have to hand over a penny to that guy. As for that slime ball lawyer, asking "are you acting right now?" That is the oldest trick in the book, trying to convince the jury that she is good at lying because she can act.
Now, this is truly sad. She absolutely deserved her money. However i think Lisa couldn't handle this situation and the man simply was smart enough to use her. REALLY SAD. Also the contract was over 10 years before. She did the right thing when it lasted. But asking more for Reruns? Seriously? I don’t see her doing this ... not because I’m a fan just because she’s always been very smart even in Hollywood she’s created so many shows and done a lot for television
I don't understand. A manager getting 10% is pretty common...why is everybody pissing on him and defending her?! Because it was an oral agreement? Sure, it was a mistake by him not to put it down in writing, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get paid : /
I want to be a manager for a movie star. Making money off of other peoples work...even if I get fired I still make even more money off them...what a fantastic job!!!
Uh, you pay your agent. This man worked for her. Ok, they call him a manager. I’d ask who did the deal with the production company and her. If he did it, he gets the 10%. Even if she gets another agent, from that deal, he gets the 10%. That is how it works. She looks tired.
well all u guys commenting in favor of one or the other, without researching should know, she lost the case! she had to pay him the money!! thats ok, everyone's happy
What is the motive of that manager to sue her? If the current financial situation of the manager is not in good state then that would explain a lot about why he brought it up so late. I do not know anything about the law, but regarding if the oral agreement is enforceable or not, if it is indeed enforceable then every individual on this planet would have the power to sue anybody claiming that they had an oral agreement without providing any proof. If the manager can sue her with the oral agreement they had in the past, then so to can Lisa sue the manager claiming that there was an oral agreement between them where the manager promised to pay her more for each episode and now that he owes her nearly $2 Million.
That was pretty rude that he asked Lisa if she was acting.

1 million per episode I guess that could be true because in those days TV was the only kind of entertainment out and I think TV was at its peak
1 million per episode?? Wtf are those shows really making that much money?
Didn’t really watch the video just read the comments but I’m just wandering how did he win? Especially if there’s no proof 🤷♀️
He wanted a cut of her earnings from the time AFTER they parted ways?? Like you no longer work with her you don’t get paid. Do I still get pay checks from my job I quit? NO!
00:43 damn rerun money ain’t too shabby
...why does the reporter keep mentioning a jury? there are no juries in civil proceedings
We don't know all the facts. If the majority of the jury voted against her they probably had reason to.
Of course they had reason to. She tried to get away with not paying her agent the money he was owed.
People these days are so damn petty. Money blinds everyone from the fact that family and friends are the important things in life.
Romii and Michelle’s HS Reunion is brilliant
People starving in 3rd world countries. Meanwhile in America, you can make over $1 million per episode if you are an actor/tress on a television show.
#teamsmellycat
I don’t see her doing this ... not because I’m a fan just because she’s always been very smart even in Hollywood she’s created so many shows and done a lot for television
Wait so who won the case??
I don't understand. A manager getting 10% is pretty common...why is everybody pissing on him and defending her?! Because it was an oral agreement? Sure, it was a mistake by him not to put it down in writing, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get paid : /
It was not a mistake. Oral agreements are fine. So of course he won the case.
Unreal that they make that money per episode.
See no one told life was gonna be this way...you manager says you owe him a lot of moneeeeeeeey.
Mill an ep.? No. No one. Ever.
I want to be a manager for a movie star. Making money off of other peoples work...even if I get fired I still make even more money off them...what a fantastic job!!!
Friends is my favorite comedy show.
Don't give the cheeky blighter a penny. You were in every episode of friends, he wasn't in a single one.
Uh, you pay your agent. This man worked for her. Ok, they call him a manager. I’d ask who did the deal with the production company and her. If he did it, he gets the 10%. Even if she gets another agent, from that deal, he gets the 10%. That is how it works.
She looks tired.
Yes, she would never have gotten a job acting anywhere if it wasn't for her agent so of course he should be paid for his work.
well all u guys commenting in favor of one or the other, without researching should know, she lost the case! she had to pay him the money!! thats ok, everyone's happy
3:26 Verbal agreements are force-able? Good news.
She stole money from him, now she has to pay it back. Sociopaths like her must pay.
