I was there, and I'm going back! It was my first Star Trek convention ever and now I'm hooked! I also got to meet Kate Mulgrew and I was almost late because I slept in for so long from a late night. They were just about ready to pack it up and I'm like rushing up with my ticket and my photo for her to autograph, I could tell she was tired and just really wanted to pack it in at that point but I was the last to get an autograph. She is just as beautiful on screen as she is in person. Kate has a peaches and cream complexion that would make a 20 year old envious. I was too tongue tied to say anything, but we came from all the way from Anchorage, Alaska just to meet her. I wasn't disappointed. As tired as she was she still treated me as a valued fan of hers. I've always admired Capt. Janeway's character, and now I admire the woman who portrays her. The first vacation I had in 20 years, and when we knew Kate Mulgrew would be there we booked it 6 months in advance. It cost us a pretty penny, but it was worth every cent! This took place at the Rio Hotel, not a bad place, wouldn't say it was the best, but it was pretty fine.
Wow. Dax is still so flippin gorgeous!!
25:10 "If you don't clap together, it's not really clapping!" I'm cracking up so hard! ahahahahahahahahah
I wish I could have the money and time to attend the event as I am far away from Australia. Thanks Heather for recording the event for us Trekkies who cannot be there in person. You lucky people!
I was there with my 12-year-old autistic son who LOVES Star Trek (all versions) - nice to see this series of highlights! I got to meet Peter Weller while standing in line at one of the shops to buy water. Very nice guy. Very UNlike his character in the film. Thanks for posting!
Was it really necessary to mention your son's condition?
@@BigFatCock0 that was my first thought.
thanks a lot for sharing! It´s a real treat for me.
Oh my, thank you so much. I live in mexico and attending one of this conventions is one of my pending dreams. thanks you, thank you, thank you ;)
USS-Odyssey lol, you're welcome! :-D
Hi again Heather. wow you have been to quite a few star trek conventions! I'm having great fun watching all your videos from this year and previous years, so thank you!
Loved the nerd-gasm joke and as a young gentleman said below, "There's coffee in that nebula!" :-D
Garrett Wang really likes the stage. I think he's brilliant......Oh My! :-)
+HappyFurrBall Hello! :)
lol, yes, this was my 3rd year I went and I plan on keep going and doing these videos.
Thank you for watching my videos!
Yes, I loved those parts! The Voyager panel was hilarious! I loved it!
I went to my first Convention in April at Cherry Hill,NJ.this year. It was a fantastic experience! I really wanted to go to the Las Vegas Conference, but as you said. it can really get expensive (I live in NYC). But I'm writing this to THANK YOU for this upload! You have done a great job in editing, and presenting, this program. You have done a great service to us "trekkors" who didn't have the opportunity to go to THAT convention. At New Jersey, got to meet the "Klingons" and the "Ferengi" and they were really great guests, and speakers. Your tape gave me the chance to see and hear from so many of the other characters who were there. Thanks again!
MrSymbiosis1 Thank you for that nice compliment!!! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! The Ferangi were awesome! I got to meet Aron Eisenberg (Nog from DS9) and he was so nice and fun to talk to and he remembered everyone's names! He usually accepts people's facebook requests, if you want to send him one: facebook.com/aron.eisenberg
Compliment! This is very well cut!
this is so lovely. pure CLASS!
Best convention video so far! Thanks for uploading!
Thanks for sharing!
So cool!
Great editing, I think what you did for a long video by putting in cut scenes of convention clips and show scenes was well done. It kept my interest all the way. Great Job
HeghVar Action Figure
For a Star Trek fan who cannot cope with noise and crowds this is great - getting the question sessions from conventions online without having to be there ! (and a glimpse into what else is there - memorabilia and people dressed in costumes)
Now we can catch up on Star Trek conventions from the last 20-30 years and learn more about our favourite actors, characters and stories!
Loads of humour as usual!
I'm so glad you're enjoying them!
Awesome video thanks for putting this together. I'd love to actually go to this con some year. Looks like so much epicness
THANK YOU again, for such a great compilation! You are right about Aron Eisenberg. At the conference, I asked a question on the mike, and when I went to take a picture with him later, he said how he recognized my voice. Thanks for that connection. I will be sending him an email. PS. also a great person was Kate Mulgrew. At the photo op, I made a comment on her role in "Remo Williams" and she was happy that I knew of it and agreed with my comments.
Thanks for uploading!
Well done. I was there for a couple of days. Got to meet and speak with Peter Weller while standing in line to buy water. A great experience!
Fantastic video! - Would have loved to have been there. Thank you so much for sharing.
Stu.
Stu047 Thanks!
Thank you for uploading, this is fantastic! I would love to go to one of these some day
Too funnnnny!! Going to 2016 50th Annv. Can't wait! \\//
There's coffee in that nebula!
+Coretteket theres earl gray tea in that nebula!
I thought I changed that to 'There's chocolate in that nebula...' (Deanna Troi would have liked that!!) Or 'There's a stack of pancakes in that nebula' for B'Elanna Torres
I luv Star Trek
+trha2222 Are you trying to be funny with some of your comments here, coz it's not working.
Hi Heather, thank you for sharing such a wonderful little glimpse into, what must've been, an amazing event! You really did a great job, I could have watched another hour and a half easily!!! I hope you had loads of fun xx
caberet Haha! Thanks! :-D...Well, if you feel that way, I always have the video from the 2013 Star Trek Convention you can watch ;)
OOh I shall for sure! Thank you xx
caberet Thank you for your nice comments!

Kas Sandra James What time code are you at? I want to see your picture!
yes, let us know, I may have even met you, I was there too.
You can see me at 4:58
Cool that you cut clips into it. Nice way to illustrate what they're saying.
+Castle Celluloid Thank you!!! :-D

VERY GOOD; THANKS YOUUUU!
Very good editing, are the panels in full, or did you cut some of it out when you turned on the music and did those short montages of the fans and art work? Also, what did you use to edit this?
Ryukennea Thank you! The panels that I recorded are about 90% full. I had to cut out the parts where the panel just begun and I had just sat down and started filming and they were in the middle of a topic. And there was another part I cut out because there was a jerk 3 rows up that stood up and blocked my vision and was making rude noises. And I also cut out the parts of security asking me to stop recording. I used Corel Video Studio Pro X4 to edit this.
Thanks Heather for posting this for us, I was there and got load of pics, but it's great that you got some video for us to relive. Bless you, it was a great time wasn't it? I'm going back next year but only if Kate Mulgrew will be there, she's my favorite.
pjgumby It was a blast! :) Hopefully I'll see you there next year! If you see me first, say "Hi!"!
Thanks for posting this! My fav crew! I've been watching your vids for the past couple of days, Subbed and thumbs up! :)
very good thank you,I love the Voyager Crew
Amazing editing. I live far from the US and don't know when I'll be able to attend a ST convention.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you!!!
I am also at the end about 1:22.58 I think.
I can't believe how different the actors are from TNG to VOY. When i see TNG actors talking about the series you can tell they're totally unattached and emotionless about the series. They arent fans, they literally have no idea about anything that happened on TNG. It's sad. Despite it being my favourite Trek Series. The VOY actors are totally different. It's amazing. i love Garett Wang, such a nerd :) btw... he does an amazing paris impression, sounds EXACTLY like tom paris when he talks in his voice. The janeway impression is funny though less accurate hehe
I've never watched any of these conventions are been to a convention. I started watching RUclips videos last week. My impression Voyager crew actually like each other and enjoy spending time together. I don't think everybody on tng likes one another. After watching these videos I can't stand the actress that played counselor Troi. I wouldn't want to be around her for more than 5 minutes. She's overbearing and thinks she's funny.
Loved the video! Thank you for editing and uploading it.
Hopefully one of these days I'll be able to go to one.
Were they charging $40 for autographs? It's always bothered me that actors/entertainers would charge their devoted fans for a few scribbles.
No liquids on set XD Oh man... the stories about Avery Brooks, and watching the reactions from fellow cast members
Is Garett Wang doing stand up now.
+trha2222 Like I said, you're not funny. idiot !
He should be
Thx for uploading...it looked fun. I wonder why Jeri Ryan never does cons....
+Big Love
Jeri Ryan was at the con this year :)

I want someone to ask Tim Russ about Spaceballs!
Hana has grown into a little doll.
I need to google Nana Visitor's age... it's amazing... she's sitting next to Molly's actress and it feels that if both of them were Asian or Caucassian they could easily be sisters.
Hi, I never been to a Convention, so I'm wondering which package should I get for the next one. Just for reference In which row were you seated?
ronyrod1990 You can find all of the package information here:www.creationent.com/cal/st_lasvegas.html - I was in the nosebleed section with a really good zoom. I got the $40/day tickets and that included the shops and seeing who was on stage that day. Each day was a different series. So Thursday was The Next Generation, Friday was Deep Space Nine, Saturday was all cos-play and so on. They have the schedule up on that site, so you can see what I mean.
Heather Ferris Thank you very much for your reply! Wow, that means that you were not even in the preferred section (right behind gold and captains chairs)! And you still shot a great video! I'm waging the advantages and disadvantages of buying o good package or not. I really want t be close to the scenario, but the first row available is the 12th (all others are taken - people from the previous conventions have priority) and I refuse to pay almost $800!! If you don't mind me asking again, what kind of recording device you used? It was a camcorder or a dslr? If it was a camera, which lens you used? a 200mm or more? Used tripod? Thanks again. I appreciate it.
ronyrod1990 Of course! :) Yeah, I was in the section that was right after the reserved seating. That's why there are so many heads and people walking in the video. But thanks for the compliment! If you can't get the gold pass, I know they have after dinner parties with all of the stars and other extra goodies like that. You can check that out. I think the after party started at $200 per ticket. Ha! I know! The convention is crazy expensive! BTW, I used a Panasonic HC-V100M (camcorder) and a tripod.
Miles O'Brien is the best character post tos
So... if they reserve the right to refuse Klingons, what was Michael Dorn doing there? :P
Who is that young girl at the DS9 panel? Is that the girl who played Molly?
Yeah, she played Molly O'Brien
I was in the beginning around 4:58
Oh, yeah! You were Guinan! I loved that cosplay! You looked exactly like Whoopi Goldberg!
Heather Ferris
59:37 dayum
That intro was kinda racist...”annoying species” rude!
