The wing sail has been invented dozens of times. This one doesn't have enough overlap forward. The overlap should be 17%, just like a balanced rudder. You would think that established yacht designers would know that.

Yes, but the reason it is so far forward is (I think) that they want to let it "feather" when it is moored up. Otherwise they would have to have active computer control all the time even when the ship is not being used.

My guess is it would sell anywhere from $15M to $40M USD depending on the fit-out and build quality of course. Does anyone know if one ever got built or ordered?
Last I checked a 70-footer cost about $7M so I would think your estimate is probably right.

It only takes one typo to screw up a presentation - most especially in the titles... Comfort, not confort.
there's a bunch, they're all the french spellings. Inclinaison instead of inclination, was another one. It's a french company though.
is there any information on how efficient the wing is over traditional sails or does it work effectively at all?
wing sails are more efficent, but they have a fundamental flaw, which is the ability do reduce power. Basically wing sails cant reef so are not good for a cruising boats.

I wonder at which point in a wealthy persons life it is that one decides they need two toilets in the bathroom to go with the two sinks? If I ever commission an ensuite with cubicles, I sure hope someone stops me.
Actually if there was not such a shortage of space there would be a his and her bathroom suites complete with seperate his and her walkthrough closets, its only when space or money is at a premium do we see such a compromise.
I don't see where you're seeing 2 toilets in a singular bathroom area... All I see is a closed in toilet space right next to an enclosed shower area.

I am intrigued to know how good the wing is as a posed to a sails.
130ft boat. 110ft sail. thank gawd this is vaporware. otherwise a lot of people are going to be sitting on the bottom wondering why the boat tipped over. this as they pass crush depth on the way to the bottom. at that point, their worries are over.
Strong wind will flip to sides, no way it can tolerate high wind in any sea! Do these wings even do come down?
@@nr3059 They can rotate to into the wind,that's the way they work they utilise lift like a plane wing, most auto adjust to the wind direction.Plus they can be rolled into the mast.@2:35

The master does not seem to have a view except from the bathroom, the front view is blocked by the stairs to the sunken outdoor sitting area.
I'll get 2 of them on my next pay week.

What if it is never dropped, and in a storm release the main sheet so that it becomes like a flag. Would that be a problem?

I really love this design. I wish they could go SOLAR and WIND power without the use of FUEL. I also would get rid of the GUEST CABIN that is on the left side of the MASTER. The Owners cabin should be the Width of the entire Beam. Who ever thought to put a GUEST CABIN to cut down the width of the owners cabin was not every smart. Owners love The FULL BEAM. They could have used that as a PRIVATE OFFICE and a WALK IN CLOSET.

Then you would want a Sunreef Solar ECO. The company is building Solar ECOs out to 164 feet now. They even put solar panels on the masts of their 60 70 and 80 foot sailboats.

Welp...for me it's the Sunreef Power210 Trimaran with solar panels.
Terrible utilization of the deck space. Both stern and aft are missing what looks like 10meters of space.
Meaning the dock floor level could be 150% larger!!

The so called "wing" is way too far behind the turning point of the ship... If that ship does not have a genoa it will not sail at all but always turn with the bow into the wind... Bad design... And ugly without normal sails and a normal rig... 🙄
