The lock and latch do function but only on the rear of the “slider” door. For now the front of the door rattles a bit at hwy speeds. Still working on a solution for that.

Are you still using the original door latch, or did you make something else to hold it shut?
I'm still using thr original rear door latch. I removed the front one. Still working on a latch system that operates like the stock system

With this installation there will be no visible hinge on the inside
