This man passed up generational wealth for his faith and beliefs. God will give him a bigger reward in the next life.
I'll take the generation wealth 🤷🏾
Excellent comment! Aedin
Amen to that🙏
Mr Mahmoud Abdul-Raul will be imminently rewarded. Aedin
give me the wealth.
He is a real NBA legend, stood for his beliefs and didn't give in to prejudice and bigotry despite the loneliness against the media, the league and silence of his coaches and teammates. Amazing and inspiring documentary.
@@RM360CR Ok, take responsibility and when Trump and his base call you criminals and drug cartels and child rappers and murderers Dont cry, becuase these are facts. I don't even if you ancestors were imported from Eu or were slaughterd by the colonialists 😏

This dude wasn't not smart enough. He jus a rebel tryna force attention to himself
he was just a straight up legend on and off the court! i still need to watch this documentary, gotta subscribe to showtime tho 😭
@@___Anakin.Skywalker okay anakin.
Man he was ahead of his time. A legend real legend. Wish this new generation could of seen him play
The NBA owes this guy more than an apology. They literally destroyed his career David Stern's no longer among the living: however, if the NBA were truly committed to social justice. Start at home he is a part of the NBA'S family. This humble talented man deserves restitution for THEIR injustices. Make Mahmoud Abdul- Rauf whole. #NBAPAYMAHMOUD
I understand his position. My position is until your religon in addition to other things, respect women, there will be a huge divide. This is one of the reasons there is a divide between our worlds. We are a country that has proven we will go to war for our "beliefs" and your religon allows followers t blow up planes and buildings. And just like the IRA, the Western world would not accept it.
The poverty in the Muslim world is sad.
What a class act. Articulate, intelligent & modest. NBA needs to do something after blackballing his career. I admire him for the things he has over come & not just for taking a stand against social injustice but his medical condition( tourette's syndrome). He's resilient in all that he has had to battle. Salute to him
Say what you want he stood up for what he believed in and he never wavered. Symbol of true character .
It's wonderful Mahmoud's story is FINALLY being told. Such an honorable human being with integrity. This is the kind of leader Black children should read about and respect."A good name is worth more than fortune and fame."
PREACH!
Hope Allah will reward you for standings for what you believe.
You are a good muslim brother
Very humble like he said .He is still living his life and that is what matters he did not let that situation break him.
NBA Owes Him An Apology and he should sue for discrimination
The man deserves his flowers 💐.
Me being a point guard this is one of the greatest documentaries made AND ALSO ONE OF MY FAVORITE POINT GUARDS GROWING UP
I STAND BY THIS BROTHER wholeheartedly....everything he said in regards to the Flag is super accurate ...his allegiance is to GOD and Truth Not everyday tyranny Not everyday ignorence Not everyday Racism Etc....Much Luv to the Brother he really seems at PEACE...STAND
NBA owes this man money!!!!
Reparations!

A very inspiring story , Thank you Mahmoud Abdul- Rauf 🙏🏾
My hero. My favorite player.
An amazing person my salute 🫡 to him
He defined humanity 👍👍
Blessing to this man. He strong beyond belief man that's amazing
It's criminal what happened to him and Kaepernick by these leagues.
True intellectual 💪🏿🙏🏿

Formally Known As Chris Jackson, this dude was legit.🏀
Big Respect! Epitome of standing on belief no matter what.
Naw hes a real one i respect this guy he had nuts and stood 10 toes down. Imagine if every NBA player took a stance like this that would be powerful.
One of the greatest I've ever seen 🙌
Why didn’t the other NBA players help protect him 🤔🤔🤔 smh
It called fear
ocean all by himself ....well said , bless up all the way up ....alhumdullilah 🤲
Mahmoud is a hero
I remember watching Chris Jackson vs Alan Houston in the SEC tournament when they both scored 40+ points.
This dude is the epitome of what cancel culture is the NBA owes him a public apology and a lot more.
David Stern's ORIGINAL SIN
I'm so glad they are giving him a platform finally

You’re a legend big respect ✊🏿 we know who you’re are and your game
Ma Shaa Allah. May Allah bless you Rauf
This guy was a much better point guard than kaepernick was at quarterbacking
Remarkable. I have no memory of this happening in real time.
Man's a hero and a legend
I remember when Mahmoud was getting coverage for this back then....they made him out to be a negative weird outcast without going to into why he was doing it. The media portrayed him perfectly as the boogeyman who was standing against American beliefs.
Good ☔🌧️ Rain Forever
Poetry in motion 👌
GOTTA SEE IT!!!! 🤲🏿🤲🏿🤲🏿🤲🏿🤲🏿🤲🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
1st round 3rd pick, rarely missed FTs, and at the peak of his career.
No defense worked on this man, he made NBA defenders look like high schoolers. We remember you, Mahmoud.
I remember as a kid my friends and I felt that he and Craig Hodges were did dirty. There were some older guys who schooled us to what happened but like he said back then there was no social media, if the league wanted you gone you were gone. It would be nice to see the NBA do the right thing by him and others who were quote un quote blackballed from the NBA.
You still standing and has all your teeth give praises to the most high brother
That was a good interview
Amazing! Long Overdue. Salaam.
I once seen him n sertoma tournament mobile Ala high school scored 55 points against the best defensive team in the state Leflore high had 1 teammate that scored in double figures great great player
Amazing documentary and man
Cool content 🙌🏾
Favorite player on NBA JAM TE
Nobody stood behind Mahmoud when David stern blacklisted him... Michael Jordan turn his back on Craig Hodges when David stern blacklisted him.
Salute 🤲🏿
this men is a Legend
He was dropping back to back 50 at LSU. Mr. Logo before it became popular
When it comes to 34 year old Wardell Stephen. Mahmoud ......YOU ARE THE FATHER
That's what I been thinking. He looks too much like Steph.
One reporter noticed and didn't like it because of his racism so yeah.
You are hero ! Love you
#35ActionJacksonLSU and Shaquille O’Neal were the most superhuman athletes I had the privilege to experience perform in person. Action Jackson was smooth as a scoop of Crisco dropped into a hot skillet.
Same thing in Indonesia, Islam rule area open a drug store for Christian owner is hard. Infact build a church in Muslim area took 15 years to have the permitt granted. Same thing across the world, you call that justice. Human just human, they eat each other for believe.
The caption should've been He got Black Balled.
My cousin played against him in HS. My cousin wasn't a great player. Was just an antagonist. Couldn't even antagonize Jackson. Was a non factor trying to guard Chris
there was no rise and fall for mahmoud, only rise.
Why am I just hearing about this although I watched this man ball when I was growing up. He just disappeared
I have a question. Why only now? what took the media so long to bring this Headline out from its shadows????? I am just curious
Like apologizing for Slavery but there are no reparations went over alot of people's heads.

My main man.....
I am not educated on Obsessive Compulsive but someone telling me what to do and I want to do something else would surely do something like that, to me..
Wish I didn’t have to pay for college and wish I didn’t have to work while going to school since my family can’t afford it. I’m searching for this generational wealth he is speaking of. That’s why I am working hard and going to school to get a good job and trying to start a side hustle. Can’t blame my parents or grandparents or anyone. I have to work hard if I want to succeed. Then eventually my family might have that generational wealth.
If you had a skill where you were good enough at it where you didn’t have to pay for college and work while you were in college you wouldn’t have to wish.
@@zvbx thanks but I am working while going to school and I want to have a job where I do not have to work until I’m 70 and I am the boss that owns the place. Also don’t want to live on a job that only gives 40-50k a year. I have skills I am just learning from professionals so I can master those skills.
@@AerialFaithViews Ok. Good luck.
@@AerialFaithViews you should've developed a skill ...
You're upset because a guy made more out of his situation with less....
Stay in school buddy
You still was unstoppable
Denver for life
Why didn't the NBAPA protect HIS 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHT to freedom of speech and freedom of religion? #murica
I have a few of his rookie card's he is hot
The difference is the timing.
You were totally disrespected and the NBA should make things right with you$$$. Great player!
I also stopped standing for the anthem when I reverted to Islam.
Even then the feeling was that they were been diverted from serious life goals.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar, also a Muslim. Why he didn't help him?
refused to stand for tyranny and oppression...
DENVER NUGGETS. Period 💯
WITHOUT SCREENS & PROTECTION!!!!!
Well, as long as it's not all about his ego. If this was one of his worst moments, what kind of life did he lead? Selfish much?
Ego and stubbornness.
I’m sure you’re white
When it comes out you’ll know 😂
@@dashien2605 ??? stop the emojis and TRY to make SOME sense...
@@TheCommunicationCoach you said its not about his ego and what’s his worst moments. Either do some research or watch the documentary when it comes out. Ik yall pride on people failure
Chris Jackson was bad ass…

You pay a price for your beliefs in this country if you are not compliant with the status quo.
Why is this guy being circulated like a hot donut 🍩 good payday 4 him congratulations
Would've made more of an impact had he not let his beliefs get in the way. Could've made millions and build temples and give away his wealth. Now all he's got is his dignity. I guess for some self righteous people that's enough.
Dignity > $$$
Lololol listen to how stupid you sound
"If he didn't let his beliefs get in the way"

kyrie before kyrie off court that is 🤣
If other people talks about Jesus Christ you stop the coverage but talking about other beliefs you guys are open ! You hypocrites
