I grew up with a German shepherd named basil. He was the most loving, loyal and patient dog ever. We never even had to shut our gate because he wouldn't leave the house unless we told him he could. He was very protective of us kids and probably would of taken a bullet for us. I can remember him jumping on the trampoline with us and letting a three year old (me) ride on his back like a horse. Basil was the best dog I've ever had but sadly age got the better of him and he passed at eleven years old. He was an amazing dog and now I hope that after university i will be able to get a German shepherd for myself. Basil died years ago and I still miss him. Rip Baby bas I love you.
I had a German Shepard for 14 years.Back before there were so many rules,Smiley used to hang out with all the neighbors kid's,watching tv ,playing with them,etc.Miss her to this day,what a great dog.

I too was 9 years old when we adopted "Rusty'; a 10 month old German Shepherd from the pound. And after all these tears; Rusty still remains the greatest dog I ever had. We all love him. Great choice.

I loved German Shepherds since I was a little, little girl. Over the years I had dogs, and I loved them dearly. But I didn’t have my dream dog German Shepherd. When I was in my 30’s I FINALLY got my Shepherd. Those were the best 12 years of my life. He would be 22 years old this Wednesday. I have never been the same without him.
I used to watch a show when I was a kid called Rin Tin Tin K9 Cop (Katts & Dog in Canada where it was originally filmed), I wanted to be a k-9 cop and I always dreamed of owning a GSD. I finally got one in 2010 when I was 26. I had to put him down in January.
When having a bad day it's great to see videos like this. Hope to get my kids a dog one day. We have a rabbit that's like a dog lol but hopefully one day. This is cute and you can see the love in this family.

I got 2 GSD girl puppies from a friend. Right now they are 9 weeks old. It has been tiring and tough, but they are a once in a lifetime experience, I know they already are amazing members of my family.

I love German shepherds my grandfather had one and the dog Rex saved his life he was trained to protect the family. My grandfather and Rex had a really really strong bond. Rex was abandoned by his previous owners when he was a puppy and he was forced to survive by himself but when my grand father found him he saved Rex's life. Rex died when he was only 3 years old. While saving my grandfather he was stabbed 7 to 8 times he died at the vet 😪😪😰😰😞😞

I got a Chihuahua,cat and a rat (used to have 2 but one died) before all those pets, my grand lived with me when she first moved into my family's house, she had a guide dog (black lab) named unity! Also while we had unity we had a cat called Shelly, but sadly, Shelly ran away and we couldn't give unity what she deserved, because I was a school my grandma was to old to walk her and my mum and dad were at work! Sorry for Rex and your Grandpa xxx
pretty puppy I love watching these kind of videos of people getting a puppy it makes me happy haha. I recently got a gsd but I had to pay for more than half which was around 500 and my parents put in the rest. Mine is named Delta and she is going to go to training lessons starting in February and I'm really excited. She's 5 months old and was my first papered puppy I have ever gotten but she is so beautiful and smart.
