- A little trip to Narvon, PA to get my first German Shepherd!
His name is Guardian and he's about 10 weeks old in the video. The top of his head may look a bit weird cause he got nipped by the breeder's Rottweiler :(

I remember getting my dog. It was a bit hearbreaking, because when I was carrying him to the car he started making those loud cries when he realised he was being taken away from his mom and siblings.

I lost my German Shepherd son when he was just 10 years old. Was the saddest thing for me. We were like brothers...best of friends...loved him with all my heart. Now he is buried in the back yard and i planted a persimmon tree on top of him. The tree flourishes and when i bite a fresh persimmon in early winter I know my wonderful son is part of that sweetness. He was the smartest...long conversations with him...he was full of tricks to get what he wanted...when i was passing a kidney stone i was rolling around screaming ...next moment vomitting..crying for help...Maximus came over to me and softly licked my face..."Oh Papa, tell me what i can do to help you." German shepherds are so kind and intelligent...loyal and full of character. I miss him still and he has been gone 4 years now. I still can't bring myself to get another child like him.

I feel the same way Alan. I also lost my sweet German shepherd girl Ava when she was also 10 years old my family got her when she was 8 months old as a rescue from Tennessee. She was like a sister to me always coming into my room and sleep on the bed with me at night .Everytime i visit my parents house I always think im going to see her standing in the driveway with her tail wagging and smiling it hurts my heart and to this day i still think of it. I miss her so much Rest in peace Ava the Wonder Dog ( that was her nickname we gave her)
I have 4 year old ‘Alex’ and I can’t imagine my life without him.
i recently lost my dog last weekend and i don’t remember a day without him as my family got him a year after i was born. he was my best friend and was always by my side. i loved him so much and i don’t know what to do without him

They need to be adopted. The older german shepherd & rott. Love that the pupp got a new home. Just a lover of rescues and giving them a chance at a new life. That place is definitely a puppy mill. Hope they can find good homes too. No diss.

When I was a baby I had a German Shepard, her name was Aza and she was the best! Since I was only three years old I did’t understand the sadness when she passed away. I am very great full to her because when I lived in Poland we had a dangerous balcony with no fence. I was about to walk off and fall 2 story’s down but then Aza grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me back into the house. My dad had 5 cats, 3 of which fell off that balcony and died, if it weren’t for Aza I wouldn’t be alive right now! ♥️

You are going to have the best friend you’ve ever had. I had one from when I was 16 till I was 32 it broke my heart when she passed. I couldn’t get another dog for years it felt like I was being unfaithful. Love that dog and he will return it tenfold.
Craig Kaschan went through same thing. A couple of months ago I got a male gsd from a rescue. He has turned out to be great, and a great help to my family and I.

I remember my first German shepherd at 10 years old on the farm. Lady herded the sheep. one night a fire started in barn. Lady went into it and chase out all animals. her fur was scorched but she saved all the animals. Some of her fur never grew back and Lady lived to old age of 16 years.. Very loyal dog. Have always had a GS since then
Driving a Porsche. Buying expensive dogs from mansions. Living in a mansion. Spending more on your dog than most people can spend on themselves. Man, some people live the life.

The place where I got my GSD Sable said @ night, after they sell a pup the mom dad, and the other pups would Howl. Not sure if it was to mourn the loss, or to call the missing puppy home.

Jay : It is kind of sad to think of the little puppy leaving his mother and siblings. However, it’s a fact of life and hopefully the new family will love him and take good care of him for the rest of his days.

It doesn't go like that. The mother and the father probably have another litter by now, while all those puppies have loving and caring owners. Dogs are extremely loyal, smart, cute, loving, caring, animals, but their mind doesn't work like the human mind. Guardian's parents, which are shown in this video, probably don't even know how many litters did they have. And all the puppies, thanks God, have a caring home, so don't be sad, please

Guardian is absolutely adorable and beautiful. I have two shepherds (my 4th and 5th shepherds). Shepherds are the best dogs in the world. They do require a lot of attention, work, and training. I suggest hand feeding them (or hold the food bowl) several times a week to build a better bond with them and to avoid food aggression. Ball or frisbee playing with them is highly recommended. Throw the ball or frisbee low so to avoid putting too much stress on their knees or hips. Good luck and Congratulations on your new GSD puppy.

Two dogs per home are always best, but they will destroy rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, etc as they get wild & crazy when you're not home, so you have to dog-proof your digs before you bring them home.

Yes sir. He's a beautiful and happy boy. GSDs are great and loyal doggos. Very good guard dogs as well. We had a pure bred female growing up. Well, she got loud sometimes, but NO ONE EVER bothered us or broke into our home when we were gone. She dug underneath the fence though, and got out, when we were on vacations sometimes. They are very intelligent btw as well. Good luck with Guardian. Great name.

I found my dog Toby in a trash dumpster (the big ones with the sliding doors) heard him barking and rescued him. Hes a blue tick golden retriever mix, and that was 14 years ago. Hes still doing well, has gotten old though.
A beautiful drive, a beautiful sky and beautiful driver. O how I wished I could get a German Shepard puppy of my own.
