To avoid the car sitting in bare metal for such a long peroid of time, especially in the hot and humid conditions here in QLD I laid down the epoxy primer. Most of this will be sanded back before the next coat of primer and then onto the final finish!
@@ToddHazelwood Thanks. I was only thinking that the epoxy might make welding difficult or at least smelly. The story is that British Leyland factories would leave unpainted car bodies in the English weather over the weekend. By Monday, they were all orange rust coloured. When asked about this the reply was "Oh that makes the paint stick better".
Good job
Thanks mate!
Chop the top Todd
Would doing rust repair prior to spraying with primer have been better?
