    The biggest improvement ive made with ollies is popping harder and then focusing on lifting my back foot more. Those 2 things together gave my ollies a lot more height

    This is a really good explanation of an Ollie. Back in my day all we had to learn was trick tips in magazines 😂

    always feels like "sliding" the front foot slows the entire motion down. this makes so much sense.

    Love the effect at the beginning! Totally grabbed my attention and kept me watching long enough to get the information (which is great BTW).

    Very good explanation. Reminds of discovery channels time warp series where they have greg lutzka and a physicist explains it like this.

    I can get a fair heigh, and my form is mostly correct, but I have to do it on grass, because as soon as I try on the flattest concrete I have available the pop with my back foot just slips the board out from underneath me, but if I try to counter that with my weight it slips out the front

    For me the biggest realization was popping during/after jumping :D not as one pushing movement

    The only thing what nobody mentions is that you have to jump to pop. Everybody starts with pop, but pop starts with jump.

    Dude, all my teenage life the board always kicked out like he showed cuz they said to slide it to the nose…ima try it again whenever I see a board 😂

  • @bassyey

    Finally people are debunking the slide. When I stopped thinking about actually sliding is the moment I learned. Who tf spread that fake info?

  • @imbadatskating1
    @imbadatskating1 Год назад

    Ngl that doesn't make much sense I don't want my board going strait up and then just kicking it why do skaters have messed up shoes cuz the shape it along the board thus can't apply for kickflips otherwise you couldn't do them

    • @tommyneve2351
      @tommyneve2351 3 месяца назад

      you're wrong. Everything said in this video is 100% correct. I would also recommend to jump high, pop out and not down, and lift your back knee and extend front knee while in the air.

    bruh… that’s not how an Ollie works. You just described the motion the board takes for an Ollie…
