Hey just a tip, you can pre-assemble the handles before reinserting them so they literally just pop in. No need to fuss with adding the spring/clips while holding it up :)
pro tip (that i just accidentally found while installing) if u bought those that are pre assemble u need to click them in with a bit of force and save like 10 sec assembling it lol
I want to replace my handle bars with paracord and I have the same type of bars as the one in this video, is there a way to change it so it’s tight and holds the paracord in place?
Thanks. It was helpful. My grip handle was full broke. Instructions will worked. It got stuck in removing the clips as one was more difficult than the others but overall a good video.
As much as I appreciate Toyota's company ethos of efficiency in manufacturing, it's obvious this clip style sacrificed too much security over ease-of-installation in the assembly line and cost cutting measures. No amount of engineering can tell me these flimsy clips are as secure as 2 regular bolts.
Awesome! I was about to throw the damn things out! Thanks to you, they are installed!
You’re welcome 🙏🏼

And if the clips drops back? How to reach that
Can use needle nose pliers or tweezers
Were you ever able to get it out?or did you have to remove the headliner?
One of my metal clips went back and in and after a while trying to get it out I just put the new grab handle in. So far no noise
Thx !!
You're Welcome 🙏🏾
thanks for this video just yesterday mine broke
You're welcome 🙏🏼
What is the name of lock
Definitely not how the Corolla Hatchback version comes off
This is a weird engineering. Why didn’t they just use a screw style which is what I thought.
Thank you for the video.
You’re welcome 🙏🏼 Some models do use screw other use this style
