Step 1 : Dismantle your entire home.
Step 2 : Rebuild your home.
Wow Lowe’s. It’s just an add to get us to give you our money
Thissss... looks expensive. Wow. Looks like I’m just gonna have to keep my old saggy floors 😆
THANKS FOR SHARING
I got to say, these videos are informative. SSSSUUUUBBBB`d
Bad title. Video should have been called how to level a house.
You make it sound so easy! I cant level the house if all my furniture is still in it
Move your furniture into another room then level your empty space and repeat in the next room.
There is no problems only solutions. Move your furniture
So you're telling me you can lift the house but not with your furniture in it? LOL that sounds retarded
Those jacks don't care, its a good time to put supports in high traffic areas or where heavier furniture is.
Yup! that’s a big job... maybe it’ll somehow just go away... let’s give it more time to do that.
Omg😂😂😂this comment made my night, lol
Lmao
Termites will move it over time but then you’ll have to go too . I’m having to do this myself . Materials are about 40% more this year than last year also .
Here i thought self leveler would be good enough
Lol, this comment needs more likes
self-leveling search also brought me to this construction project lol
Just your standard weekend warrior 8 step - $40k project...
...uneven floors it is!
THANKS
Ummm yeah no. Thinking this will show a simple DIY project. I'm just going to level the few high and low spots, lay down some new plywood, padding to reduce the squeaks then new laminate. Done!
The music at the beginning lets you know, it's only for the pro!
Just sister joists slightly raised above the sagging ones until they are level lmao. That job right there the way they did it would be 25k-50k vs a couple grand
OMG! that's all I can say.
This house is a total loss wow
Is it true that there's no more free shipping on Lowe's for orders below $45? Even if I have my Lowe's account?
Lowe’s offers a variety of delivery and pickup options, including free buy online, pick-up in-store and free standard shipping on qualifying orders of $45 or more.
@@lowes is it a new policy, I was having free shipping on all items using my Lowe's account even below a dollar.
Have you just changed the policy overnight?
How much does this type of job cost
In the video I would guess $3-5,000 not counting the cost of the new flooring. The labor and equipment costs more than the material needed. Hire reputable contractors, this is serious work.
about 40 dollars per square foot. Can get costly if the house if the entire house is sloping
looks like a knock down rebuild to me. so many scenes of termite eaten timber
anyone know why that person is hammering the screws first before they drill them in ?! @ 4:25
Probably cheaper to buy a stand up drill than paying someone to set screws in place lol... looks like a sweet gig though =]
@@kdiggz87 sounds like " keeping my helper busy on someone else's dime " type vibe. those stand up drill attachments are sick. i'm just worried the screws for it would be super expensive. they come all attached like nail gun nails
And they say to use screws that will go through the plywood, studs, and into the original flooring; but those screws look short to me.
Honey, carpet it is
My husband just told me the same thing. Haha
I just smeared a little spackle on it, but thanks anyways.
lol
Wth...so overwhelmed right now. Not helpful at all! JUST TOTAL PANIC NOW! Omg!
What did you end up doing?
I Need a new house
Hell nah
Wooden houses lol
A bulldozer can level this house better.
Dude i was just going to say whoever recommends going under your house and put lifters under it should just tare the house down and restart
@@davidhanni208 repair and lifting depending on extent, add brick work if your crawlspace has brick then lets not forget drainage, sub pump, dehumidifier. Yeah. Def time to think finding a builder. Depending on where you are maybe 50 to 60 thousand.
Nope. You’re wrong. It all depends on the individual property and where it is located.
Mine is worse 🤣😭😭😭
Don’t try this at home
Whos gonna do all that!!! Ridiculous
Hire reputable contractors or sell and move. That’s a lot of serious work.
Just start pooping in the low spots and level it off, let it dry
Wrong wrong wrong
i'd hate to see how you do it if you think this is wrong
@@nicholaspappagiorgio6103 vietnaes
@@nicholaspappagiorgio6103 This video is wrong, all you do is either shim and lay a new subfloor over the old one or rip out the old subfloor and sister up the old joists with the new joists slightly over lapping the old joists until they are all level. Its 40k vs 2k and both are effective
This is so long and pointless, If your floor is sagging it's either foundation issues or sag in the joist components .
You can find every sag point within about 30 min by finding the direction and and position of a joist then using standard spacing measurements and a rotary laser.
This will let you draw a map of your floor , pinpoint the sag points and by how much they sag. With this information you need to lift the sagging joist and sister them with new joist .
If it's the foundation related you will need to install piers or fix damaged supports. The house shown in this video is a bad example of what's common , it looks like an late 1800 to early 1900's house that's been repaired or added on to at least once.
