Unfortunately Chevy Avalanche after 2002 removed the cabin air filter. They went cheap. I don't know about the other makes. But I watched your video and then went outside and took it all apart only to discover the moulding is all one piece which confused me so I got online in the Chevy Avalanche forums only to learn that 2003 and 2004 Avalanche don't have cabin air filters. But I appreciate the video still 👌
@@troystreet I think the dual climate box just did not have room for a freash air filter, but Chevy and other car manufacturers have been disappointment on quality since the early 2000s
TattsForLife you seem to know a fair amount about vehicles so tell me this. Does my 2007 chevy avalanche have a fuel filter outside of the gas tank. I changed out my plugs and plug wires this past weekend so I don’t think they are causing any issues. But my truck is still running a little ruff
Gosh those filters looked like they had granny's ashes in them...now imma have to check mine out...just bought a used 2007...wish me luck..it'll be like when they opened up king tuts sarcophagus...I hope I don't release any wicked spirit with it...although they should be happy breathing fresher air...maybe sprinkle some kind of airfreshener stuffs for perpetual freshness 😊
2003 Avalanche...I have gone through about 5 videos and I cannot find that clip anywhere! There is no screw back there and no little black anything to take down. It looks like a likely compartment for filters, but no way to get to them without taking the whole thing apart. I finally just gave up in frustration. At least the A/C still works.
I changed a 03 and 07 this year and they looked like they was pretty much the same to me, have you removed your cover, they have a cover over the box, mine was already removed in the video before I started
I could listen to this guys voice all day.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for best accent ever. Thanks for the video.
Thank you! 😃
What accent is this? Louisiana?
I really liked your video you were very informative you need to keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video , thank you 👍
Thanks, I try upload daily videos
Thanks for the tip my pops that owned the 2002 avalanche before me Changed it a while back, but I didn’t see how I hope this helps me just as easy.
Glad I could help
Great video it actually work exactly like you said. 20 minutes and done
Happy it helped, I have more videos like this coming soon for the chevys so be sure show your support by smashing that subscribe button
do you have a video for replacing the Knock sensor and O2 sensor on a 2002 avalanche 5.3 ?
no not at this time, I will be making one soon on this topic

sorry it was not helpful, must been dual climate models
@@TattsForLife mine is dual climate. From what I hear Chevy just got cheap and stopped using them.
@@troystreet I think the dual climate box just did not have room for a freash air filter, but Chevy and other car manufacturers have been disappointment on quality since the early 2000s
I have a 2003 chevy avalanche I can't find the filter but before I had a 2002 avalanche that did have it
You're right. I ordered the filters and was going to put the in my '05. No door. No access.
I’ll tell you what. I never knew my avalanche had cabin. Filters. Thank you
Welcome, really helps with ac blowing to if they stoped up your ac wont blow as hard
TattsForLife mine is a 2007, no cabin filters
@@billcoley8520 yah that year has a plastic mesh that keeps the leaves and stuff from entering, they needed the room for the dual heat and ac function

@@billcoley8520 did you replace your plugs with factory gapped plugs. If not that could be the issue, the Bush and dual tips can mess with running
Love the Elmer Fudd voice.
Thanks, Takes Alot Of Work
The second one is not a spare it goes right behind the first one it takes two Filters that’s why they come in a pair make sure you replace both
great info

Thanks you for watching

Good information

Are they located the same place on the 2010 Avalanche…???
no they are not
I have a 2003 z71 4x4 avalanche and it’s different from your except for the bottom cover and that’s a pain in the ass 3 little screws.
I never understand why they make stuff so hard to get to
Is it the same for a 2004 avalanche?
Yes, it should be

Hi hope your doing well. I have a Chrysler 300 and I was wondering if I can do this to my car? Thankyou I love your channel.
Thanks, and yes you can your filter is under the hood and very easy to change, its up on passenger side near the window wipers
TattsForLife
Thankyou cant wait to see if it makes a difference! Thanks for responding😀
always happy to help
You must be from Louisiana? That accent is unmistakable
ky
TattsForLife ny
That is NOT Louisiana accent smh
What year is that Avy, 02? Does anyone know if 06 Avy Z71 has cabin filter?
If its dual climate I think not, one in video is 04 or 02 one
@@TattsForLife Ok it is dual and I didn't know about that. No wonder I couldn't find it. Thank you so much!! 👊
@@coalchamber3152 welcome
I have a 2012 avalanche with dual air controllers so i guess that’s why I can’t find the in cab filters
Yah they dont have them to my knowledge
I'll check and see if my 06 avalanche has one.
Thanks for watching
Terriel Graham. Does it have a cabin air filter? I own an 06 Avy Z71. Tnx
All gm trucks have the same one so yes every analanche has one every tahoe , z71 , saburban etc etc etc .....
Thanks took away mine and dam they were nasty lmao

I have had my 08 Avalanche for 12 years and never knew that there was a cabin filter
If its a dual climate style it dont

That kind of odd, is yours dual climate?
@@TattsForLife same for mine
Yes, it's dual climate.
2004 Chevy avalanche 1500 4wd does not have it….
Great info
I had NO IDEA that these were even IN vehicles. Guess that's why you're supposed to read the owner's manual. 😂
haha if your lucky to have a owners manual lol
This does not work on a ‘05 Chevy Avalanche. There’s no bolts on mine. Just FYI.
Thanks for the info, I have it in the section below the video some people may over look that though, it don't work on dual climate units
Dude! Where's that accent from??? It's killer!
Idk if I have a accent lol we all sound the same where I am from
@@TattsForLife where are you from??
Vacuum it out!
Maybe when I'm not so busy, work truck
This ain't for a 03 tho...
all should be the same from 99-07
