Well before the age of social media the Embryolisse moisturizer was hyped up in fashion magazines because it was a make-up artist favorite to use as a primer. Guess it somehow carried over to tik-tok.
TikTok isn’t even the first social media platform to have rediscovered it: I remember the French beauty craze of 10 years ago that had it all over the blogosphere, RUclips, and Pinterest!
I've rec'd samples many, many x's in sub boxes. I can't stand the smell!🥴 I didn't want to waste it so, tried using it on my dry winter hands & still couldn't get past the smell - last 2-3 went straight in the trash can.
@@LK-lz6lk samples of embryolisse? I'll take them off your hands 😂 embryolisse litrally cleared the acne I've been struggling with since I was 15. I'm 36 now. Literally JUST discovered this stuff and my skin is finally clearing up 🤷♀️
Maybe this is just me, but in response to what you said at the end about having more but not wanting the video to be too long.. I would love to see longer videos from you, I can never get enough of hearing your thoughts on different products! ❤
Cosrx snail mucin is absolutely a best seller for a reason and I'm not surprised they're one of your faves! I trashed my moisture barrier with tretanoin that was too strong for me and the only thing I could put on my face at all that didn't hurt was the snail mucin, it's my holy grail
I must get round to try it. It's been on my radar forever... since before it became a social media bestseller, or whatever. But I got distracted by other things. Must try! 2023 resolution ☺
I started using it about 18 months ago..I had a severe reaction to a medication and had head to toe hives with the most unbearable itching. I went online to find something to help my skin recover and that's when I found James and his recommendation for CosRx Snail Mucin. It's such a fantastic product!
For anyone with acne, I have to say Embryolisse seeeeriously changed my life. Like I'm serious. I've had stubborn hormonal (or what I think is hormonal?) acne, and I've tried absolutely everything and seen so many dermatologist who just told me to only use completely oil-free products, but that doesn't work, even that stuff broke me out. And then the tretinoin they gave me made my skin peel, bleed and break out even worse. Horrible. Just horrible. I have a lot of scars from all of this, and the ONLY thing that has helped, is embryolisse. Seriously. I slather it on now after cleansing with Neutrogena ultra gentle, and I dunno if it's soaking in at all or just sitting on top to protecting against dirt/germs and keep it clean, or what, but I'm not getting any new pimples and the old ones (scabs cuz I pick) are finally healing. I never thought I could even use moisturizer because my skin was already oily but this stuff is making my skin so soft and way less red. I'm legit amazed. I even use it on my shoulders and chest/neck because I get acne there too, combined with a body wash with AHA's. But yeah. It's also a good makeup base or whatever I guess 😂.
Paula’s Choice hack - get the gel toner, you use less product and it lasts way longer! It does feel a bit sticky on the skin but serums and moisturiser still go over the top nicely
I personally love the Cerave SA cleanser, I don’t use it every day but rather once or twice a week as a gentle exfoliant. I have oily skin that isn’t sensitive, so that may make a difference. I also use the Clinique cleansing balm, and it is pricey for sure. I use it because it works well and I don’t like switching products since I have acne prone skin, and don’t know what will break me out. Awesome video James, love your commentary as always.
That CeraVe cleanser also makes a great cleanser for areas of your body that have keratosis pilaris. I used to use that Clinique cleansing balm, too; it’s really good! I’m using the one from Beauty of Joseon because I wanted to change things up after a decade, and I like that one a lot so far, too.
I've tried the Lait Crème Concentrée before. For someone with very dry skin (AKA Me), this is a VERY nice product. That being said, I have found others that I prefer just as much if not more. For example, anything that comes from Pyunkang Yul.
I remember trying this product, but the fragrance made my head feel so cloudy I couldn’t handle it (I also have super sensitive skin, so I figured it would irritate my skin in the long run). My favorite is the Bioderma Intensive Cream. It forms a wonderful barrier over my face that locks in all of my hydration (kind of like a sleeping pack). Sometimes I blend it with their intensive gel cream for a lighter consistency during the spring/summer. I will repurchase forever ❤
I feel like the Embroylisse keeps popping up because it’s popular with makeup artists as a way to prep their clients’ skin. When I was first learning about makeup, it was constantly mentioned in magazines, etc. so I imagine it’s resurfacing for the same reason. I’ve been using the Peach Slices toner you mentioned and have been really loving it too! I also JUST got the Bondi Sands sunscreen like yesterday, so sad to hear it’s not a fave. I do agree that it shouldn’t be called non-greasy. My skin feels a bit greasy to touch after applying. However, it doesn’t feel heavy like some other sunscreens I’ve used (looking at you, Neutrogena). I think it will be ok for me now in the winter but I’d definitely switch to something less greasy in the summer.
I used the inkey list oat cleansing balm forever, I swear I purchased 10+ but I want to say 6mo+ ago i received a new order and it was significantly more difficult to squeeze out. I NEVER had difficulty or even noticed and real effort previously. It also is so much harder to spread around and emulsify. I ordered another bc I was thinking I got a bad/old tube. Yeah, that wasn't it. Formulation definitely changed and I'm still so sad about it lol
I never tried it myself but heard wonderful things about it until a few months ago, when apparently the formulation was changed. Why would they do that? Why change a best-selling product that was affordable and a holy grail for so many people? 🤷🏻♀️
I shake the tube and then it is like the oil is mixing better with the balm. Easier to sqeez out. The I let it melt a little in my palm by rubbing my hands. Then it is as it always was. Still love te texture and it takes away my super waterproof mascara very well. Sorry for my bad english. I’m from The Netherlands.
I love empties videos! Have you tried the brand Tree to Tub? They make natural products for sensitive skin using soapberry as the hero ingredient. My empties mostly consist of their products. 🥰
im also using tree to tub. i have occasional eczema from strong soaps but i no longer experience flareups since using their body soap. they are so underated!
The Embryolisse is the best moisturizer I have ever used. It is well worth every penny. It makes my skin feel nice and smooth all day and night. I don’t use it as a primer though.
For the oat cleansing balm I think it dries in the tip, & getting past that is difficult. BUT if you give it a good shake before you squeeze it, that’s usually not a problem. And as others have said, the warmer the area where you store it, the easier it is to get out.
I find it so weird that the lait creme concentrate is going viral now because when i was getting into professional makeup like 12 or so years ago, this was a staple in makeup artists kit. I feel like so many things that go viral are really just things that makeup artists (or if it's skincare, experts/aestheticians) have been using/doing for years
+1. I commented the same thing. Lot of viral makeup "hacks" are just techniques influencers picked up or learnt from experienced MUAs, same goes for viral products unless they're new launches. I genuinely hate when influencers do not give due credits to the MUAs, as if they invented it 🤷🏻♀️
the paula’s choice regular strength anti-redness exfoliating solution is the superior BHA product from paula’s choice!! it’s like water and has no residue left behind like the one in the gray bottle. gives the exact same results without the greasy feeling!
The Oat Cleansing balm works well if the weather is hot, its all melted when it comes out but in the cold weather it does go hard and much harder to use!
I’m glad you are making a video of things that are available in your country!! I don’t necessarily watch your videos for the products I just like to hear you talk about skin care, so even though I’m in America I still enjoy these kind of videos even if I can’t get some of the products!
I loved the Bondi Sands SPF, it went on so nicely to my skin…then I realised it was breaking me out SO BADLY. Like the most spots I’ve ever had. Took it out of my routine, skin calmed down, bought another bottle to check if it was that and yep, same thing happened again! A friend of mine had the same issue too 😫
No even as a dry skin gal, the bondi sands sunscreen was uncomfortably greasy on me as well.. its such a bummer because it's so affordable!!! I wanted to like it soo bad.
I've exclusively been using the Embryolisse moisturizer for years, it's fantastic. I didn't know it supposedly had a bunch of different uses, but I will say I've used it to remove makeup when I'm too tired to take it off with a wipe and wash my face, and it works well.
My favorite first step cleanser, is the Innisfree green tea hydrating cleansing oil. It's just so nice, and it gets everything off, even Danessa Myricks chrome flakes and liquid shadows, which will take any of my other cleansers like 3 times to get off🙌🙌
I stock up on Clinique Take the Day Off during Black Friday sales when they’re Buy 1 Get 1. I get enough for 1-2 years because it stays creamy and works great. Every other balm I’ve used end up getting grainy/clumpy by the time the jars are 1/2 used up. 🥺
The inkey list oat cleansing balm was the first cleansing balm I had ever tried. Since I had nothing to compare it to, and since it was so affordable, I just kept using it and figured that was that. Then I tried a sample of the farmacy green clean cleansing balm and oh my god…. the difference in texture, consistency, formulation… I now spend a little extra because to me it’s so worth it
I've been using Emrbyolisse lait-creme concentré for over 10 years, although now I use the sensitive version without fragrance. It's truly the best for dry, sensitive skin, and super affordable.
Another great moisturiser for underneath makeup is the classic oil of Olay/Ulay Beauty fluid, it’s moisturising but not greasy at all, and absorbs really quickly, I also love the cute story behind it
I totally agree! I've used Lancome's Absolu soft cream, Chanel's Le Lift and Sublimage day creams and Perricon MD's moisturisers, yet Ulay beauty fluid works the best under makeup. I am sticking with it.
I would say about Embryolisse that it has done wonders for my rosacea-prone skin! I also err on the lighter side of make up, so I like to mix my base with this cream, it achieves a very smooth and homogeneous effect. It also mixes very well with rosehip oil, for the heavy winter days when I need something extra nourishing.
I find it so strange that nobody talks about the blue bottle of bha from Paula’s Choice. It basically has the exact same ingredients + a few added calming ones 🤷 Grey one did not work for me at all.. It’s really odd bc I have rosacea and bha is supposed to work fine but it gave me small surface level whiteheads each time I tried it. Blue one however did not! I still much prefer bha in a cleanser tho just for the convenience
Try running the tube of oat cleansing balm under warm water until it’s liquid and shaking to mix it up if you’re having a hard time squeezing it out. Once it cools back to room temp it should be easier to get out. I used to recommend that to customers and some told me it helped.
The ordinary oat cleaner, I keep mine in the shower and use it at night as part of my double cleanse. I find the heat from the shower warms and softens it. I have never had trouble getting the product out
I agree with you on that oat cleanser! I hope they edit it or something because I love the concept and ingredients. Mine separated really bad, but I hate wasting stuff so I’ve been using the rest as like a body cleansing balm instead especially because it is so thick and heavy. Could work great if you’ve got REALLY dry skin and need something heavy duty.
I’m on my third tube of the Inkey oat cleansing balm. I love it - but the first and third tube, the product came out perfectly but the second tube was a nightmare - it had separated so the oil came out first then I was left with this solid mass that was impossible to get out the tube! I persevered though because my skin loves it, I just make sure I shake the tube really well before use…
brilliant! really good to get your opinion on some more mainstream/ common products. Please do the full list! Def tempted by the wishful cream if she brings out a sml size. The Bondi sands liquid sunscreen in the v small blue bottle is really nice and not greasy btw.
Vichy Mineral89 serum IS really good. It turns out this works better when I apply it immediately after I wash my face, instead of applying it after applying a toner before applying the serum. I didn't like it years ago but I gave it another go a few months ago and I really enjoyed it.
I think you’re right! Every time I apply after toner I feel a slight sting and I guess that might be because of the ph difference. I also experienced the stinging with the Neutrogena hyaluronic acid cream so I stopped using it and began to think maybe hyaluronic acid wasn’t for me. But maybe I’ll try using Vichy 89 as a first step like you. Do you apply toner after or straight to moisturizer? TFS! 😊
Embryolisse moisturiser is basically popular because of MUAs. A lot of MUAs use it on their clients because it literally suits everyone's skin and is not crazy expensive. Nobody ever really got a bad reaction from it and it gives smooth base for makeup. My skin gets really dry in winters, I also get dry patches. My skincare routine is good at managing all that dryness but the moment I put powder based makeup on top, my skin looks so dry and flaky at times. This moisturiser works like magic for makeup situations like mine where it just preps the skin well for makeup, especially for high coverage or powder based makeup! Gives such nice finish. It's worth it if you have dry skin or struggle with cakey/flaky makeup finish when doing your makeup. You can just use this instead of using moisturiser + primer. It's great for that purpose. They have 30g tube too, I'd surely suggest trying the small size before going for full one.
Try the Paulla's Choice Daily Pore Refining Treatment 2% BHA. It is lightweight and has some soothing ingredients. It is far superior to the original PC 2% BHA. When asked, The Ordianary says that theor acod products like the 7% Glycolic deliver at most 50% of the acid so what you are getting is 3.5% glycolic acid not 7%.
I was reccomended the Bondai Sands suncream from someone on insta who has dry skin- and I found it SO incredibly greasy, like you said! I literally couldn't use it, even on days I didn't wear makeup...
I really don’t understand how it is possible that the Vichy 89 works so well. I read in reviews that in comparison to other serums it contains nearly nothing and is overpriced water, but i can say it’s the best for me. It feels so clear and fresh on my skin and it plumps it. I will always buy it again.
If you run the oat cleansing balm under some hot-ish water, it loosens up the balm and it comes out super easy. I had high hopes for it, but it was way too thick and hard to get off and it made my skin itch, slightly…. So it’s also a no for me! But if you DO like it, run the tube under hot water for a few seconds and it’ll come out easily.
I enjoy your videos so much. Any chance you'll make one about your perfume collection? I caught a glimpse of it in one of your videos and you have amazing taste, it'd be great to learn more about it 🥰
@@JamesWelsh please do, fragrance is the thing that saved me over lockdown, I a whore for it and I love to see what others are loving. Fragrance is such a personal thing but I just live hearing what others love
@@JamesWelsh Nobody actually is😃Some people just pretend they are, they let their imaginations run wild and throw around various poetic words to make it sound sophisticated 😃Still , I love watching perfume videos, even if I never have the slightest idea how the described fragrance actually smells 😅It would still be great to see and hear about your favourites 😍
As someone who occasionally posts and shitposts in Fragrantica, I don't think you could be worse than me though. I do understand the reservation of posting a frag vid as a skinfluencer. Some fragheads basically worship a Fragrance youtuber and view everyone else's opinion as crap especially those outside of the fragrance community.
Disagree about the oat cleansing balm, there have been times when I've opened it and oil poured into my hand. It's about temperature, keep it near a heat source and it's totally easy to use... Like your airing cupboard (or as we call it in Belfast hot press!). Just not in a cold or chilly area. 🙂
Honestly since CeraVe changed their way of making stuff… yeah… I been getting really dry….. I went back to neutrogena for cleanser. Also went back to Eucerin for the body….
For the Bondi Sands sunscreen, I found that when I changed my moisturiser the sunscreen stopped being greasy and became really nice, its the one I use everyday now.
I used it without moisturiser under (purchased last week) and it looked like I rubbed my face in an olive oil pot. It was disgusting! 0 out of 10, not for me
I got introduced to the Embryolisse moisturizer because Eric Nam used it in his night routine video. I bought it and used it as my night cream in winter and i liked it. But its very heavy on my skin.
I absolutely love all the pharmacy brand with volcanic/thermal water! They are expensive but my ultra sensitive skin only tolerates these products. Mineral 89 is a must have in my skin care routine since it became available in my country.
I agree. I've been a long time user of Avene, Vichy, La Roche Posay, Uriage... When my skin was Berlin sensitive they were the only products I could use. My skin sensitivity is much better now and I've ventured into new brands, but the French pharmacy ones have still a big place in my heart...and in my skin regimen 😊.
The Superdrug B. Melting Cleansing Balm is basically identical to Clinique's take the day off cleansing balm and is £10 (or £5 if you have a Beautycard)!
My skin is oily but everytime i use the embryolisse cream my make up and skin look so so lovely. I put it aside for awhile and when i came back to it i was like wow and ordered another this time bigger tube
In terms of 2% BHAs toners, Medik8 does one now too (Press & Clear) which is very good and feels gentler on the skin than the PC one. Biossance has a 2% BHAs toner too: I haven't tried it yet but Biossance is a good brand overall, which makes me want to try it ☺. Skincare addict here!
My fav product for beauty is nipple cream (lanolin) it’s the best lip balm that actually moisturises, prevents blisters (my feet love me when I use it pre pointe works great under eye cream last and brow conditioner and for growth and so much more!
The Cerave SA Cleanser irritated my skin so much! I do love the Acne Foaming Cleanser by them though (it's with benozyl peroxide) for dry, acne-prone skin
You always talk about different cleansing balms in different videos but I would love to see your top cleansing balms in its own video! I would love to see how you rank your top ones. Love your videos ❤
Oooh I’m so happy you’re talking about the first one (Embryolisse) again James! It’s a holy grail for someone like me who are going glycerin free!!! No other “cream” that are glycerin free do the basic deed of just “moisturising nicely”. Under this I put my Cosrx mucin serum and I’m good to go!
@@potatoflips2694 let me first answer with a disclaimer that this is my completely personal opinion, I’m not a dermatology expert, and none my reasons for going glycerin-free has been scientifically proven. I’ve gone glycerin free because I wasn’t happy with any “pore-minimising” or “pore-clearing” products until I read a number of tweets by different beauty gurus that, once they went glycerin free, they started noticing visible changes in their pores, and decided to try it out as well. I switched to glycerin-free toner, moisturiser, serum, and cream (and petroleum jelly) and the blackheads/whiteheads and bigger pores that were on my nose, forehead and chin went away like 70% compared to before, within 2 weeks or so. When I tried using products with glycerin, it felt like my facial skin became clogged again. Now I’m pretty sure some of my base makeup products have glycerin, but I’m letting that slide, because they’re never directly on my face. I have combination to dry skin btw
I personally like the Glow Recipe Watermelon toner than the Paula's choice bha solution. Idk if the Glow Recipe one even has bhas in it, but I just don't like a lot of exfoliating toners, I have dry skin so I only use exfoliators like 3 times a week, sometimes 2
I love the SA cleanser on the body but their blemish control cleanser is nicer on the face! I find it less drying and much gentler than the SA cleanser
We use the inky list oatmeal cleansing balm. I have never had an issue getting it out? But I’ve only had 1 tube lol. I use it on my 10yr old who has very dry eczema prone skin as it helps moisturise and clean her skin.
The Cerave SA clearer after about a month of use made me skin burn I also have combination skin dry cheeks oily T-Zone I was using it with Neutragina’s Gentle moisturizer It one day it just started to burn and left my face puffy all day
My sister gave me the "EMBRYOLISSE LAIT-CREME CONCENTRATE MOISTURISER" - I regret using it, it dried my skin out so much and now I'm trying to heal my skin barrier (my skincare hadn't changed and had been the same for months, this was the only new product I used).
@@navneetnancy1154 Thankfully, after I stopped using it about a week ago and went back to my original moisturiser and just used hyaluronic acid, no other serums my skin has mostly healed from the dryness :)
@@SH-vo5je That’s great! May I know which moisturiser you use? Because I usually have a hard time finding moisturisers that work for my skin- they either further dry my skin out or break me out!
@@navneetnancy1154 Currently I'm using the Skin + Me Light Moisturiser in the morning and night time - It's a subscription though, I got it the once with a promo and it's lasted me a while and haven't repurchased yet as I want to get a more hydrating moisturiser for night time
i think you should try the oat cleansing balm again!! I agree that is not the best cleansing balm but for the price, it is pretty good. Maybe when u tried it u were keeping it in a really cold place since the formula can change pretty easily with the temperature. It really helped my skin when I was struggling with irritation and redness! Also loved to use it as a face wash in the shower since I could keep it on my face for the whole shower time and avoid water loss or avoid the steam from the shower could irritate my skin!
I agree about the Inkeylist oat cleansing balm, but it doesn't break down, its too greasey. It never washes off. I use a cheaper balm, the peach balm from W7. I just find it less grief.
Completely agree with the oat cleansing balm! I had a couple of tubes and loved it, found it fine to get out of the tube and thought it did a good job. But I had to cut the top off the last one I had because it was absolutely impossible to squeeze the product out! Not sure if the new packaging had anything to do with it but currently looking for an equally affordable replacement (recommendations welcome!)
i cut the bottle open as well and there's still so much product left. but i have found that's the case for every bottled skincare item, not just this one
It’s a different vibe from the oat cleansing balm but I love the Bondi Sands gel cleanser! It leaves my skin feeling clean but not dry, lowkey hydrating. It’s pretty cheap and easy to pick up from Boots
I typically use the clarins oil cleanser as my first cleanse because it doesn't hurt my eyes or leave residue, it was not in store last time I went to purchase so I got the Josie Moran one and it is very difficult to rub on your face lmao and if it gets on your lips at all it tastes like I would imagine poison tastes and it won't go away.
This was really helpful. I really want to try that moisturiser, you and Robert made it look pretty good when you tried it. Love Liberty, I used to wander around there all the time, I wonder if I ever saw you. The candles ♥️♥️
Based on the ingredients, I don't understand the hype over Embryolisse, especially under makeup. The second ingredient after water is mineral oil (Paraffinum Liquidum). Oil breaks down makeup. 🤷♀️
I think it’s because it’s a nice formulation. Like to look at it sounds greasy and thick and slimy lol but it’s actually surprisingly light. Extremely average however lol
Thank you for making this video and giving your honest reviews about the products as always. If it's okay, can I ask do you moisturize after using glycolic acid underarms or just leave it on? Much appreciate your reply
COSRX is so good I have to remind myself I have other skincare. I have a acne line and an anti-ageing line, just once a week for each to get that oomph for different issues, but COSRX does more the job. I switched my cleanser to the Glow Recipe's blueberry cleanser and have found it makes me so much plumper. Like my skin REALLY LIKES IT! but my husband had a horrible reaction to it and his psoriasis went crazy. Like full chemical burn the poor thing.
I bought the Bondi Sands sunscreen LAST WEEK, and I had to wash it off after an hour!! It was an oil slick, I looked like I rubbed olive oil on my face! I don't have oily skin, normal texture, over 40, not sensitive, it was MISERABLE. So I've ordered the Purito Go To Daily and the CosRx Aloe sunscreens instead.... We're coming into summer here in New Zealand and our sunscreen situation is poor at best, without dodgy Bondi Sands
I have the Bondi Sands SPF, not only is it greasy and heavy but after ONE DAY my rosacea-prone cheeks stung when applying my usual basic Asda moisturiser. I was so disappointed.
Having to go through radiation therapy in hot weather, I was told not to use deodorant. I remember you said you used Bha for deodorant. I used the Cosrx Powder Liquid. So thanks for your advice through a very hard time. It worked wonderfully. 🤗
I hope everything went well. You could also apply benzoyl peroxide on your armpits for like 5 min and wipe off

I’ve just started using the Calming Moisture Barrier Cream from Pyunkang Yul and it’s lovely!
I had exactly the same experience! Used to love it and the last one I bought was a nightmare to use
I use it in the shower only, I guess the warmth helps it squeeze and spread out easier. Def not a favorite but the price is great
I shake the tube and then it is like the oil is mixing better with the balm. Easier to sqeez out. The I let it melt a little in my palm by rubbing my hands. Then it is as it always was. Still love te texture and it takes away my super waterproof mascara very well.
Sorry for my bad english. I’m from The Netherlands.
same thing happened to me, but hasn't happened anymore. was just that one bottle! i haven't noticed a new formulation
I genuinely hate when influencers do not give due credits to the MUAs, as if they invented it 🤷🏻♀️
Yes! It was one of the favourites of the OG beauty/makeup RUclipsrs
the paula’s choice regular strength anti-redness exfoliating solution is the superior BHA product from paula’s choice!! it’s like water and has no residue left behind like the one in the gray bottle. gives the exact same results without the greasy feeling!
A friend of mine had the same issue too 😫
Have you tried the Sunny Daze spf 50 moisturiser? It's a mineral spf, and I love it. I have acne-prone skin, and it doesn't break me out.
No even as a dry skin gal, the bondi sands sunscreen was uncomfortably greasy on me as well.. its such a bummer because it's so affordable!!! I wanted to like it soo bad.
Same for me! It feels extremely greasy on my dry skin. I don't even want to use it in winter. And it burns my eyes.
So affordable and such a good size! It was so greasy I was starting to think everyone was oddly lying in their reviews 😂
I have dry skin but a fair amount of acne and pimples and the SA cleanser cleared up so much overnight so I absolutely love it!
Another great moisturiser for underneath makeup is the classic oil of Olay/Ulay Beauty fluid, it’s moisturising but not greasy at all, and absorbs really quickly, I also love the cute story behind it
Absolutely. That’s been my holy grail since I was 17
I totally agree!
I've currently been loving the elf holy hydration cleansing balm. Feels nice and removes my makeup really well.
I love it too, it's definitely better than Cliniques take the day off balm.
I have this and keep meaning to open it!
I wish I could love it but it wasn’t for me unfortunately. Glad you like it!
James on a Sunday has almost become religious for me ❤ best therapy ever

John Maclean got me introduced to that moisturizer/primer and I’ve loved it since.
Have you reviewed La roche-posay in any videos yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. I love the cleanser.
The nose strip aftermath is incredibly satisfying and also equally disgusting😌
Very addictive!
Looking fabulous and its nice to be this early on a video... I hope all is wonderful with you and sending you lots of love xx
Vichy Mineral89 serum IS really good. It turns out this works better when I apply it immediately after I wash my face, instead of applying it after applying a toner before applying the serum. I didn't like it years ago but I gave it another go a few months ago and I really enjoyed it.
same, didn't like it as a "serum" (meaning applied after the toner), but as a first step it's great!
Yess!
As long as you apply it on damp skin. I think all HA seems work best on damp skin.
His Channel is just gettin' better and better. JAMES opinions are very good and sooo funny. I love it. 😂👏
I caught a glimpse of it in one of your videos and you have amazing taste, it'd be great to learn more about it 🥰
Thank you! Yesss I’ve actually filmed 3 fragrance videos but ditched them all. I’m so bad at describing fragrance but might just go with it
@@JamesWelsh please do, fragrance is the thing that saved me over lockdown, I a whore for it and I love to see what others are loving.
@@lipstickzombie4981 I also like to hang around Fragrantica! ESPECIALLY with men's fragrance people tend to be very territorial I find.
Disagree about the oat cleansing balm, there have been times when I've opened it and oil poured into my hand. It's about temperature, keep it near a heat source and it's totally easy to use... Like your airing cupboard (or as we call it in Belfast hot press!). Just not in a cold or chilly area. 🙂
the cerave Acne control gel is my go-to. It has 2% BHA. And small amounts of AHA. Smells weird but works wonders
It works if u wait 15 mind before u expose urself to sun. It sinks in then
I used it without moisturiser under (purchased last week) and it looked like I rubbed my face in an olive oil pot. It was disgusting! 0 out of 10, not for me
I got introduced to the Embryolisse moisturizer because Eric Nam used it in his night routine video. I bought it and used it as my night cream in winter and i liked it. But its very heavy on my skin.
Same here. I used it only in winter
!!!!!!!! I got the Inkey List oat one on sale (also because I get redness) but that is cheaper than its normal price...
The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm dispensed perfectly for me! Perhaps it’s a temperature thing? I live in Bombay where it’s warm year-round.
The Ordinary glycolic lasts for 150 years. I only use it as a deodorant too.
LOOOOL! It lasts so long 😂😂
My skin is oily but everytime i use the embryolisse cream my make up and skin look so so lovely.
I am so jealous of you. I'm allergic to lanolin (learned that when I had my son) *sigh*
Just curious. Why go glycerin free?
I've only used 1/2 jar of Clinique Take the Day Off in *two* yrs!! You don't need to scoop out the balm; just have ur fingers warm product up.
we are truly be SPOILED with all the content lately and i'm not complaining!!💗
Welp! Laundry is on hold for 15 minutes. I have wanting to try the Vichy serum. Thanks James ❤️❤️
I totally agree with you! 😊
The spacemask thingies are likely to be found in pharmacies, as relaxing compresses for the eyes.
We use the inky list oatmeal cleansing balm. I have never had an issue getting it out? But I’ve only had 1 tube lol. I use it on my 10yr old who has very dry eczema prone skin as it helps moisturise and clean her skin.
The Cerave SA clearer after about a month of use made me skin burn
I also have combination skin dry cheeks oily T-Zone
I was using it with Neutragina’s Gentle moisturizer
It one day it just started to burn and left my face puffy all day
My sister gave me the "EMBRYOLISSE LAIT-CREME CONCENTRATE MOISTURISER" - I regret using it, it dried my skin out so much and now I'm trying to heal my skin barrier (my skincare hadn't changed and had been the same for months, this was the only new product I used).
Same! Even my dry sensitive skin didn’t agree with it. It didn’t help with dryness at all and made me break out!
@@navneetnancy1154 Currently I'm using the Skin + Me Light Moisturiser in the morning and night time - It's a subscription though, I got it the once with a promo and it's lasted me a while and haven't repurchased yet as I want to get a more hydrating moisturiser for night time
I love the Honeybalm. A dry skin dream!
i think you should try the oat cleansing balm again!!
Hi James. Will you do a video on eyelash growth serums. There are so many to choose from now, and so many price points which makes it very confusing.
My Clinique take the day off now just smells oily & no fragrance. Not a patch on the Elemis, but I am going to try the Elf one next.
Love the space masks but you can get a dupe if these in Aldi, £5.99 and they have Jasmine fragrance or chamomile X
I value James opinions so much more than any other influencer 😊❤
@@blue_cheems ooh thanks for the recommendation! I haven’t heard of that one before but do like gel cleansers
@@blue_cheems I AM INTRIGUED. Is it fragranced? I quite like a nice scent in a wash-off thing.
@@isabellamorris7902 No it’s fragrance free 😔 It’s a pretty boring product but it really works
I love the cerave cleanse, but need a good moisturizer after. Btw, Love your look today!!
I started using benzoyl peroxide in my arm pits and I want to try this ordinary one now cause I love it! It's a better clean!
I feel the same with the cerave sa cleanser! my first bottle was perfect but the second one I purchased dried up my skin really bad
This was really helpful. I really want to try that moisturiser, you and Robert made it look pretty good when you tried it. Love Liberty, I used to wander around there all the time, I wonder if I ever saw you. The candles ♥️♥️
I loved this format!
What are your thoughts on Agency skincare? I keep getting ads for them and wondering if it's worth it or not.
Love Clinique cleansing balm.❤️
Based on the ingredients, I don't understand the hype over Embryolisse, especially under makeup. The second ingredient after water is mineral oil (Paraffinum Liquidum). Oil breaks down makeup. 🤷♀️
I think it’s because it’s a nice formulation. Like to look at it sounds greasy and thick and slimy lol but it’s actually surprisingly light. Extremely average however lol
Very very dry skin here and the Bondi Sands was a total grease mess on me aswell…. Did not work at all. ☹️
Love the nail designs! Can you do a video on how you do your nails?
Cerave… totally drying for me too… could not use it more than 2 times. Started getting itchy… 😳☹️
The first people I remember talking about Embryolisse was Pixiwoo what feels like a thousand years ago
