  • Got my 1st boyhood train running with the help of youtube tutorials. Then a strange obsessing took hold and I built this 3 1/2' X 7' train table with remote turnouts and block-out sections for running two trains, but not at the same time. It has room for 2 ovals, 1 siding, and a rail yard for locomotive and car storage.

Ha ha, I'm usually more a Lionel guy, but your enthusiasm really sells it! Gotta appreciate the remote turnouts too: what a setup!

Marx guy here, I just bought a Marx 50-watt trans. #1249, to intergrate with my Lionel R type 100 watt. At a total cost of $12.09. Opened it up and found that the control arm was bent over, I think it was a factory effect with no ware that could be seen. Fired it up, and it works great. New subscriber and Pre-1960 Marx enthusiast.

Such fun we are all having. After the locomotives run a few minutes I love the smell of them. Brings back young boyhood memories. A nostalgic scent.
