Just south of Daytona Beach
I am from the Gulf side of the state and don't visit the Atlantic Ocean often. It is always a thrill to see the serious waves and tides of the Atlantic. Thrilling.

Brightline High Speed Rail, Florida

Friends and I rode from Orlando to West Palm Beach, just to have lunch. I was impressed with the continuously welded track, smooth and with no clickety clack?! Had to Google how the track expansion and shrinkage didn't buckle or separate the rails. I never did get a clear explanation. Such physics remain a mystery to me. Comment below if you know.

1st campout of 2024 on Shell Key Preserve. Beautiful as always. Mid-week trips experience a very light crowd as compared to the weekends. Fort DeSoto State Park / Bunces Pass is almost deserted after 5 pm.

Ceiling Drywall Replacement

The drywall of the garage ceiling has been falling one piece at a time for over ten years. Finally. Finally, I'm motivated enough to begin the repair. With the help of a friend, the drywall is up. Now it's time to tape, texture, and paint. Such fun!
1959 Marx Steam Type Train O27
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Got my 1st boyhood train running with the help of youtube tutorials. Then a strange obsessing took hold and I built this 3 1/2' X 7' train table with remote turnouts and block-out sections for running two trains, but not at the same time. It has room for 2 ovals, 1 siding, and a rail yard for locomotive and car storage.

Electrical Train - Post war - 1950s

This is my 1st electrical train given by my parents in the late 1950s. I is a post war era. Made by Louis Marx & Company. Didn't run, but watched youtube, then cleaned it up and now it runs like a champ. I have identified the engine as the Marx 666. Does that sound close?

😅 the grease
Very nice layout! I love my marx trains, looks like you got it down pat! Can't wait to how it goes for you! Best of luck, and thanks for sharing!
What a nice day trip.
Please post more of this!
Rudy, was that grease splattered all over the inside of your hub? If so, your inner seal is shot. How does that happen? Squirting too much grease into the bearing during the year. My mechanics all told me it is a common mistake and that you only need two squirts per year. Putting more in will eventually blow that inner seal.
Ahoy Rudy! Until today I didn't know you also had a youtube channel. You've got good stuff posted! Thanks
Well done!
Great video! Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much, Captain.
John Moody, I have 2 Easyriser stories, from 1978(powered) 1988(unpowered), I would love tell you about!these awesome encounters!
umm, deepwell socket, is what we used for 30 years lol
Were the Cato brothers a bit earlier than John?
I do not know.
Where in Florida does he instruct?
Give him a call at 909 214 1333
How many digree you bend the battens ?
I just did it by eyeball, using the opposite batten as a guide to increase camber, as shown in the video. I did not measure degrees.
Great video, thanks for this helpful info! You seem like a super friendly dude-- you would be an amazing flight instructor if you're not one already. Happy flying!
Hello sir
Nice Park!
Good job 👏 excellent 👌
There's a photo of me in my elementary school yearbook, holding a paper model of the EZ riser. Inspired from the film "fly away home".
Thanks for the video. What engine oil do you use or recommend for this rotax 503 on an airplane?
Good question. I'll look at the bottle and get back to you.
Darn good time!
Well done😊
What make is this Trike..thx😊
Great video involving grandson. I just subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
Marx guy here, I just bought a Marx 50-watt trans. #1249, to intergrate with my Lionel R type 100 watt. At a total cost of $12.09. Opened it up and found that the control arm was bent over, I think it was a factory effect with no ware that could be seen. Fired it up, and it works great. New subscriber and Pre-1960 Marx enthusiast.
Such fun we are all having. After the locomotives run a few minutes I love the smell of them. Brings back young boyhood memories. A nostalgic scent.
Ha ha, I'm usually more a Lionel guy, but your enthusiasm really sells it! Gotta appreciate the remote turnouts too: what a setup!
Looks like you will build a nice layout!
I will. I did. Thanks.
Hey Mike did you ever get another trike?
Not yet. Thanks for asking and I'm still watching the market for one.
@@michaelhano8701 yes I made the move and have my trike in Groveland now
@michaelgraham4650 you did the right thing, Captain!
Hello sir.. I have need a trike wing
Great fun, and a sweet train set. Even better is sharing it with your grandson. Nothing narrows the generation gap like trains!
A brief teaser. I'm a sucker for any postwar train set, because I'm a postwar product myself.
Not sure if I’ll get a reply but does anyone know where I can get replacement battens for a Solairus wing
Contact North Wing. If not supplied by the manufacturer, a quick internet search exhibits many straight battens of different sizes and shapes. These straight fiberglass and composite battens can then be custom fitted.
@@michaelhano8701 okay thanks one of mine is broken on the plastic y end
@@trianglesinthesky976 - Ah yes, the Y thing. North Wing will have it.
@@michaelhano8701 thanks I’m not sure what all is broken and missing yet the guy I bought it off of says he never put it together but he included it with my atf trike frame I haven’t unrolled it to look at it yet but if it’s missing to much or a lot more turns out to be broken I’ll hold off till I can afford to buy a whole new wing

Thanks for the visit
Secret psycho?
Can you please show us how to build a wing?
I do not know how to build a wind from Scratch. Have only assembled folded Wings that already have the sailcloth attached.
You did an awesome job . Keep having fun !
Thanks so much!
Very cool!
how long does it take to set one up by yourself?
After practice, much less than 30 minutes.
@@michaelhano8701 are you giving lessons over there? any used trikes for sale?
@embededfabrication4482 No I have sold my track and I am not giving lessons at this time. Go to Barnstormers.com under subheading Trikes. Many are for sale all around the country.
@@embededfabrication4482 - I am a CFI. Must train in your aircraft. Go to Barnstormer.com under the heading of Trikes and there are many for sale here in the US.

Dear Sir, I stumbled on your video about Eggmont Key. And may I say your narrating is like David Attenbororough, simply captivating. Thank you
Thank you for your kind words Captain.
Where do you give lessons at.
Sadly I sold the instructional aircraft last year. However Larry Mednick at Zephyrhills Airport FL gives flight instruction in his Revo Trikes at his company's FBO - Evolution Trikes.
