I think the most important parts of this video are the interactions with your family members. It's nice to see such consideration.
Most parents with a child this age are starting them on their tablet/smartphone/video game/social media addictions.

I said the same thing when he built the 1940s cabin. It was nice to see him making content like he had originally started off making. Instead of being in his garage and alone. If seemed guys mental heath was declining a bit then.
It’s always wonderful having your children learn and grow with you. You’re an amazing father.
Teaching your little girl from this age is so tremendously important. Stern yet loving. The best way.

I found your channel looking for log-home videos and now all these years later you are back to building a log home. It will be a lot of fun to see the build. Happy Birthday Sir!
This should make for some good content, looking-forward to it.
It's great to build something from your land. I'm using 60 logs from my patch to build a hand hewn cabin, and about 24 more to saw into flooring and sheathing. It costs about $3 a tree to get them to the site. The expensive part is coming up, with the wiring and roofing.

Happy birthday Cody, delighted to see you teaching the basics to your daughter while she’s still of an age to absorb her poppas knowledge and not being filled with irrelevant information. My one question is what was your reasoning for taking out an established track when you could just as easily have placed your foundation just to one side, giving you a firm surface from which to work from or even use as a storage space for the materials you are going to be using?
With all the problems your local building codes caused you already with the shop build, I'm surprised you've reached this point of being able to build this log cabin. Good on you and Mrs. W's persistence in working through these problems. Happy Birthday. Looking forward to this series.
