agreed. this is the reason the band more or less disbabnded. i'm surprised he even came back. wonderful to see that they're playing again. one of the best bands to come out of Boston in my oppinio, along sode the modern lovers..
Mission of Burma is the greatest band of all time. BTW, they ARE playing "Dirt" live onstage in the video, but the actual soundtrack is frm the album OffOnOff. Thier website has good vids.
Do your research. "In 1983, after releasing their only full-length studio record Vs., the group disbanded due to Miller's worsening tinnitus, attributed in large part to their notoriously loud live performances -- during their farewell tour, Miller took to augmenting his usual small foam earplugs with rifle-range earphones onstage."-Wiki Pwned.
I wasn't slamming Roger Miller at all, I was applauding him. I'm a musician myself, and I have definitely noticed a loss in my range of hearing over the years. That he endorses hearing safety is cool, that he does it with ginormous rifle range earphones is even cooler!
A reunion that truly does not suck. An incredible live band...among the best I've ever seen.
of all the reuinited bands out there, they rocked the house. Blew me the hell away.
OMG I love Revolver...my favorite Burma song.

I'm going to see MOB in Boston in two weeks, yeah baby, YEAH!
Playing with giant earmuffs to *gasp* protect hearing! Now THAT'S punk rock!

What the fuck. Dude has bad hearing. He doesn't want to go totally deaf. So what if he has to wear ear muffs?
