I installed my MGW a few days ago and I absolutely love it. Doing the install on jack stands is a pain in the ass, but well worth it after it's all done.
I love the short shifter MGF. U always make good videos on Mustang GT and sometimes on Challenger Srt 392. I always appreciate u for making great videos of racing and telling about short shifters to change gears fast
Hey man. I’m sorry idk your name but I just wanted to thank you for giving me something to escape to at the end of the night. I’m getting my ‘19 GT sometime early next week (which I’m so excited for) and your videos have really been nice thing to escape to after a not so amazing day. so thank you for these man. -Noah
Can't wait to get my MGW in my car. My old Sentra SER, with Nismo short throw, had a way better and more precise shift and feel than a stock Mustang does. Can't believe how sloppy it is compared to even that.
Southern California roads especially LA county there is so many pot holes and whatnot, your best bet is to keep your OEM shocks and just go for a subtle drop for aesthetics, also remember coilovers don’t have near the amount of mileage life like oem suspension, you’re first 10k on coilovers will be comfortable, once they settle in you’re gonna see they belong on the track because it’s a lot stiffer and more engaging of a ride, for 1500 you’re gonna spend on coilovers get Stainless Works headers or an intake manifold and gt350 throttle body, show the bullitt what’s up haha
Alright I had the Barton in my 2013 and I loved it was shorter throw the a old friends mgw in his 14 annnnnddd his was “smooth” the Barton was notchy Which I like the notchyness of it.
I can tell you its not terrible. When traffic is at a crawl I just leave it in first and leave space ahead of me so I can creep forward without pulling it out of gear. Otherwise at 30mph its no problem
Nope. It's tight but I used jack stands and had to kinda pull trans down by driveshaft. You do need to support the trans and mount with a jack and loosen up the mount. There is a good install guide video. I think MGW has it on their channel.
I’m in he market for a new shifter for my 2015 gt and I’m probably going too get a short throw shifter after the time you’ve had it is it still tough or has it had any issues?
I just bought a used mustang gt yesterday and I believe it has the mgw shifter installed . Is there a chance to adjust the shifter? I have a hard time to get it in second sometimes . It feels a little to stiff
I'd personally go straight to the MGW, the stock shifter is an embarrassing excuse for one. Had grinding issues with 5th and 6th gear with only 13k miles on the tranny and haven't grinded since the MGW. I did consider getting a two post to see if that would fix the issue but I wanted it done right the first time so I don't have to worry about it, it's so good I'd even pay twice the amount for it.
A lot of people complain about needing to upgrade the shifter on a new car so they may as well get the automatic. I get that, valid complaint, but the cost of getting the new shifter is still less than the automatic option. Js
@@gsheverything_2716 You gonna act like you've never heard that saying? I hope you're trolling cause if you really don't know what that means then oh lord lo siento.
Juco Elites finance is unless your apr is stupid high, if you have enough money to pay it off that’s great but just finance it you never know when you need the capital or need to invest
I don’t get how so many people can think the stock shifter so bad. It’s not. It’s not a great shifter by any means but if you have a modicum of coordination you don’t have to even think about it.
The true skill is shifting with a drink in the cup holder. 👍

I also added the weighted shift knob, very pricy but worth every penny,, keep building it up,,I have the same car but its a 2018,, save the manuel
can you tell the difference In the shift knob when changing gears does it make smoother
I really wanna keep my gt350 style shift knob but wondering how much better the weighted shift knob is going to be.

Best mustang owner on yt
All the shops near me want to charge $300-500 to install it. Just gonna do it in my driveway

150.00! for install, wow. I just got a quote for 510.00.
I got a quote today and they said 1300😵💫
I feel 1st to 2nd on my mustang feels like theres a bit of resistance when it goes in. Will this help that?
Question-for the xpsec short shifter did you need a OEM knob adaptor with the racesng shift Knob.
What did you end up going with? Not sure what handle to get, I still want my oem carbon fiber shift knob
Brought the intro back let's go🔥

Installed the Mgw short throw shifter on my 2019 Mustang GT. Absolutely love it! Also added the Raceseng weighted shift knob. A perfect combination!
Would you recommend this or the stock shifter for a beginner manual driver.

Hey Rush what's it like driving the manual GT in LA traffic?

Great Video! Thanks for sharing the pricing as well, that really helps...
I installed a Barton short throw shifter on my Challenger SRT. By far the best mod.
11:03 to 11:19 😭😭😭😭😭
Shifting slow for a short Shifter so why buy one lol
Do you have to drop the transmission to install a MGW?
Nope. It's tight but I used jack stands and had to kinda pull trans down by driveshaft. You do need to support the trans and mount with a jack and loosen up the mount. There is a good install guide video. I think MGW has it on their channel.

Corsa Extreme Cat back
Does it stop 4gear lock out cuz that what I got right now and I ain’t know how to fix it plz lmk
Does this fix loose sloppy stick movement in/out of gear and the 1-2, 3-4 gear movement stick grinds?
Did you need an adapter for the knob?
Do you know what set of coilovers you’re going with yet?
What phone mount is that ?

Where did you buy that shift know ?! It look badass

Does the MGW shifter void any warranties ?
Would you say the blowfish bracket a good combo with the stock shifter?

@@epicboss302 nice to hear that
Gerald Harvey it’s grinding because you have worn your synchros from either missing shifts or shifting without using the clutch.
A huge difference tbh got one on my 15

Uhh i think most people go manual cause they prefer to drive manual. Not because its cheaper 😂
