The thing with hooks in your fingers/hands is you want to press the shank down and pull, when you go to pull, hard at the angle which it went in. Laying hands flat isn't always the best way but glad it worked out this time.
Scott what an awesome complete tournament video just enjoyed it from beginning to the end watching the excitement from each elite pro family member was priceless. Scott you have nothing to prove to me you are a pro elite angler, competitor and without a doubt you compete at the highest level that you can every day on the water. Fishing can make us the best against the rest of the field or it can make us have to work harder the next event. This day it was Matt Arey and it was a complete joy watching him on the last day and even though I had to wait 3 hours to see him lift his finger in the air and shout, “Let’s go Brother!!!” LOL it was well worth the wait. So happy how he ended this tournament great video coverage. Scott please continue bringing us these great video tournament content really enjoying them and learning a lot what makes a pro elite angler who he is and what it takes to compete in this very competitive field. Tight lines take care and God bless.
I throw a chatterbait on a 7’3” medium heavy rod. It’s basically a worm and jig rod. It’s by no means a perfect chatterbait rod. I’ve learned that I have to give the fish a few more seconds to eat it just like a frog before I set the hook. I lost a lot of fish before I learned that lesson but once I figured it out I never lose them. I feel a bite give em a few seconds to eat it then swing hard on them and they’re pinned.
Great job all the team such a great channel, when your watching the pros and while watching you saying why don’t you throw a buzz bait at that tree. Haha just a kayak tournament angler here. Tight lines thanks for taking us along.
One of Florida's most beautiful waterways, yet, can be the hardest to fish...😂😅 As always, a great video to enjoy, and looking forward to a new season! Love what ya'll are doing ❤
I think with the swim jig & chatterbaits bites that you lost, if you run braid on those specific setups you’ll have a better landing rate. I fish a lot of fellesmere & specifically headwaters & found that when i was using fluro i was losing more fish to the stretch in the line. & when i made the switch to 40 braid that was a game changer.
Fun fact! Im from the town where The Payday is made. I use to work there 20 years ago and my job was to pick off the burnt peanuts. I’M NOT JOKING. Give it a Goog.. I’m in Illinois! Robinson to be exact. Anyway, thanks for all you guys’ knowledge!
Scott, any reason to use the OG chatter against the jackhammer. I noticed you were using an OG in the video if I seen it correctly. Just curious. Thank you !
My sister just bought a house across the street to St John’s river can’t wait to go check it out soon. I need to catch a giant do you have any experience on that lake? Haha I commented too soon I just heard see you at St John’s
All these videos are 90 percent filler and 10 percent fishing I started watching 10 minutes in and stopped the video it's getting boring and repetitive all It's getting harder and harder to watch all the way thru gone are the days of good fishing content
It says “behind the scenes” what you call filler is the content we are here for… plus it’s refreshing not to watch someone stare at a screen all day scoping the whole time. If you watch the video plenty of good info in it.

Yes, this is our extended "film" version of the tournament for people who like to enjoy the long form content.
Ok! So there's no tournament, this is just for the film. Thanks I just looked at my comment, don't know wht I typed, lol.

So go golfing. See ya !
You can go back and watch the tourney video with far less "behind the scenes" and more fishing content.
