The reason for the new gear is because SMC rekindled my desire to fish! I was sidetracked for a couple years messing with golf when I should have been fishing. I'm better now. LOL... I find it funny that the night before the tournament Scott doesn’t sleep. I fish in a small club at $20 per person and the night before the tournaments I can’t sleep. It’s like my brain won’t shut down and I second guess myself as far as what I have tied on. I guess it’s just a fishing thing.
I couldn’t sleep the night before either thinking about my spots and my baits and how I was gonna fill my livewell. Then twenty minutes into the tournament everything changed. 😅
Listening to you speak on being humble and the appreciation you show to bass fishing is top notch. Been watching you since 2016 and every video is a lesson it's a class on being great. Your content is very appreciated

It’s fun watching them figuring it out as a local. They had been on beds for two weeks before they showed up. I stumbled on them when the wind blew me up shallow while retying. Only a couple others had figured it out also.

Being able to watch the behind of the scenes ups and downs of a pro elite angler the raw footage you capture from day one of practice to each tournament day is special and thank you for sharing it! I have so much respect and admiration of what you put yourself through everyday to be the best, but the only way you can is your strong faith, family and each other! Scott, I don't even fish tournaments or really bass, but im generally pretty successful because i spend so many hours on google earth that i have the place practically memorized before i even see it with my own eyes
Loving the catch and release.. i am not sure why this one is different from other tournaments ive seen where they livewell all day and bag em to the podium. i like it and im sure the local bass guys do to. Less trauma so the fish will likely bite again. A 30 second situation vs 8 hours for the animal they will be way more cautious after the 8 hour deal vs probably not knowing what happened or what went wrong with the 30 seconds. Long way is not necessarily too bad for the fish they can navigate back home rather quickly but makes a tougher bite for the next guy. Very Cool.
I watched most of the practice. I’ve been using FFS for 8-9 years. It seems like you are fishing lots of dead water. I’m sure I wasn’t seeing it all. I only fish crappie tournies. You didn’t seem to be looking at your graphs a lot either. I had Covid and could not watch it all. It was well edited and fun to watch.
You figured out about the mouth of the finger was where they were staging for the week. Then, you didn’t do it? You went sight fishing. Not saying it was a bad decision but just wondering why. You even said that you knew what the fish were doing, you didn’t do it, and then talked about the guy doing your thought and killing it. Just wondering why or what you saw to take you away from what you were thinking originally.

I wish every lake required marshals on the boat, especially during the spawn. Tournaments and rodeos 4 days a week on my home lakes have killed the fishing. People bitch about FFS hurting fish populations and that's just crazy. I find fish every week after a tournament dead at the ramp and it's BS. Catch, weight and release is the way it should be.
Hate when they allow big ass tournaments when they know there's spawn going on. Thats my only issue with bass fishing tournaments. Stop fishing during spawn. This will help population by trillionfold.

❤❤❤ great job brother hey I have an idea about fish like for example the second largemouth you caught on the first day of the tournament that 2 lb 13 Oz one he had a big dark black bullseye on the top of his back I think those are old battle wounds from like a osprey or a eagle grabbing them when they're young and then the scar healing over and making their skin turn that color do you have any idea why they get spots on them like that??

I'm watching Ike live and James Watson talk about all the crap that's been going on in bass this last year and upcoming year?.
