Excellent! I'm a beginner at tubes and electronics. But when I started this tube hobby three years ago I always thought I'd be doing it this way. That has not yet happened for me. I thank you for this wonderful approach to the hobby! Because you've put me back on track.
Yes! Please please.. can you also share schematics? I tried to find this on your web page.. I am now trying to locate a similar distortion analyzer, seeing you dial the 2nd order up and the 3rd down has me HOOKED .. Thank you for sharing!
All those tubes you have will be PRICELESS if we ever have a massive solar flare that wipes out electronics in the northern hemisphere! I love all you show and envy all those tubes you have!
What a fantastic video (and setup). Really great to visualize the subtle changes based on different values. I shall be watching this often for inspiration. Thank you.
This is much more than a tube tester. It is a method to find the optimum parameters for (in the cases shown) an audio amplifier tube. Looking forward to future videos.
Bravo!!!! Eres genial Helge. Muy buena la idea de la página. Sería muy bueno que vendieras tubos a los aficionados porque tu GARANTÍA sería excelente. TOP! Yo compraría tus lámpara. GRACIAS. Feliz Navidad y Feliz año nuevo 2023. José Luis - ea5bii - 73,s
Hello, Good Afternoon: Great video and very good work. I loved all the tests that you have done. Well, I am building a Tube Tester now and the tests seem very accurate. Congratulations on your creation. Ah, your collection of tubes is spectacular, how I would like to have tubes. And your punch card that you found in the box of the 6LS7 were programming cards, surely the location in the tube's storage. Kind regards. I also see that you have Transmission Stations, they gave me a Radio set SCR-654-A is a combined Receiver and Transmitter, with a telephone I will have to restore it soon. "BC-654-A"
Hi Helge, nice job! could you pls explain better how to setting the correct load of the tube by 100k potentiometer before to set the tube? in your example with PL84, the anode load is 3,25K from data sheet. how to adjust the potentiometer?
@@LA6NCA thanks Helge...clear! you are using two banana plugs AND/OR 100k potentiometer. This seems a good idea to test tubes in real condition, or test strange tubes originally not intended for audio... for example test tubes like pentode or eptode in triode connection.... The last thing..why do you use triangular signal instead sinewave one?
Hello Helge, I'm thinking to reproduce your circuit for playing on my tubes..what is the capacitor value on Audio Input line? from the video I've read 6.6 uF it looks it's out of standard value ...

Thanks for the nice comment.
I have designed an even better and easier tube tester.
Should I make a video about it too?

Thanks Helge, another deeply satisfying video.
Merry Christmas Helge! Thanks for all the videos.
Nice work. I may incorporate some of your circuits in my tester .
Awesome. I learnt a lot from this video. Thank you Helge.
Muy buen trabajo como siempre es un placer ver sus vídeos
Fantastisk - rør er spennende !! Takk Helge.
Thanks you.
Thank You for your work!

Very interesting and well explained
Looks cool. My respect ( for Mark Knopfler too )

Thanks for the interesting post.
I have designed a new and improved pipe tester.
Is it interesting that I make a video about it?

Yes, with power tubes I connect anode resistance in two banana plugs.

Triangular waves show all errors in the signal at once. Also frequency response and distortion.
Amazing
Can I do it as you design? Thanks you.
I've made a simpler tube tester in a later video. Look there. You can easily build it. n
Good job!!! Very interesting project!! 73! SV7LPX
Thank you :-)

👍
Bravo bravo bravo. Grazie mille per condivisione.
