- Hi everyone,
Today we're announcing a new method of distributing our videos and films on RUclips, as well as on Android, Apple, and Meta platforms. Firstly, let us express our sincere thanks for your continued support over the years. We couldn't have done it without you.
To continue producing new videos and opening up the world for you, we've made some changes to our business approach.
Starting from the 1st of March, all new videos will be available to watch for free for a limited period of two weeks. After this period, they will be moved to our members' area. You can still watch a preview of the video for free, but for the full experience or access to our complete RUclips library, we invite you to join our RUclips member area for $1.99 per month. Here, videos are ad-free and full length.
Simultaneously, we are launching an Android and Apple mobile VR app called TriptoVR. This easy-to-use app will feature all our best travel episodes from around the world. You can download them in high quality for a small fee, enabling offline and ad-free usage in your cardboard or mobile VR player.
Last but not least, on the 1st of March, we are also launching the TriptoVR app in the Meta Quest store This app offers a truly high-end travel experience. While floating in space and rotating our Earth, you can pick your next trip. Download the videos in the highest quality possible on your Quest and feel truly present at your destination of choice.
With these changes, we hope to serve all of you better, while still offering our subscribers the chance to experience our newest videos for free on RUclips in the first 2 weeks after uploading.
These changes will take effect on the 1st of March.

now we cant download the videos to play them offline regards having a membership? love your vidoes can you guys make a way for members to download?
Hi Adam, thank you for being a member! There is no option for us to make our videos downloadable. However if you use our TriptoVR app you will be able to download them in the app. Best!
So far, I'm loving the service. From what I'm seeing, it's 360 videos in 3D. To date, they are the clearest I've seen yet from anyone (I've seen clearer 180 3D videos, but that's not fair as you're stretching the resolution 360 versus 180). So far, the trip to Africa was my favorite. I buy about two videos per month on average since I signed up. In fact, just got the Berlin one for a family member raised in Germany. Can't beat it for the price of a candy bar.

What VR equipment do I need to watch your VR travel?
A VR device like Quest2/3 is best
Yes the Quest gives you the best experience, but we also focused on creating a great mobile experience for those who have a cardboard or mobile viewer. Especially for Iphone users this will be a big plus as it is no longer possible to watch mobile vr on the youtube app with your Iphone.
@@Vrgorilla1 I am so happy to hear this as I do not want to invest in quest which is why I disregarded joining Meta Travel Zoo. I prefer an independent entrepreneur. I have picked out a wearable VR headset that is about $40 bucks--going to make sure it works a s a mobile viewer. I am very excited about your app coming out and look foward to becoming a member and downloading it.
Will the videos be of slightly better quality?
Hi renata. Yes, in the apps the image quality will be higher and more constant as you can download them locally. In the Meta quest app the image quality will be a lot higher than the RUclips stream, giving you a much more lifelike experience. The apps also offer a free episode of Venice so you can check it out for yourselves.

Thank you for your support. Yes the videos are priced in the same price range. 0,49 per video on mobile and 0,99 on Quest( highest quality experience). Which gives you lifetime access on your account.

@@p0k314COM Yes that are the base prices for our premium app experiences, however you will still be able to watch new videos for free on RUclips two weeks after upload, or you can choose to become a member for 1,99 a month. So this way we hope to be of service to almost everyone.

Looking forward to your new business modell - esp. with the Quest-app. Will all of your (old) videos from your channel be available on the Quest-app for 0.99€ each? Will there be bundles with a discount? Does your 1,99€-subscription also work for the Quest app and enable us to watch all available videos (as long as subscription lasts)?
Thank you. A big selection of our Travel episodes will be available, mostly the stereoscopic content. Bundles or subscription for the apps is something we are considering, but this will not yet be available on release. The 1,99 subscription is only available via RUclips for now. Best!

Thank you for your feedback. The subscription is the only possible choice in the youtube ecosystem right now. Within the apps you will be able to do a one time in-app purchase and have the video in your account from then on.

That sounds great, where can we find Quest app, What resolution and bitrate are you planning for quest, and where the server would be located (AWS?). Can you stream videos or you need to download?
Resolution in the Meta Quest app will be 6k x 6k 100mbs h265 and for the few monoscopic episodes 8k. This is the highest the Quest 2 can run. For Quest 3 we've also tested with 8k x 8k but the playback is not there yet. So also 6k x 6k for now. However this is not to be compared to youtube's compressed 6k x 6k or even 8k x 8k. Dowloaded the quality is much higher and sharper then RUclips. You can both stream and download the videos. Download gives you the premium quality.
Which resolution now has free Venezia? Quality is great. For Quest 3 true 8K is very important.
