    Hi what’s the count for row5, is it 2 HDC in one single crochet and in the next one it’s only 1 HDC and repeat?

    • @MsNaturallyNae
      @MsNaturallyNae 5 месяцев назад +3

      No hun, 2 HDC in 1 stitch & a single HDC in the next 3 stitches: each group of stitches in your pattern should equal the # of row you’re on. Ex: Row 5 = 2 HDC in same stitch (the increase) + 1 HDC in the next 3 stitches… then repeat. 2 (increase) + 3 (total number of single HDC before the next increase) = 5 stitches before you repeat you’re pattern (row 5 = 5 stitches in group). You can also reverse it; 3 single HDCs then 2 HDC (increase). Hope I explained it well enough to understand. Lmk if it helped 🤗

    Why did you go from 4 hdc and 1 inc to 8 hdc and 1 inc for the brim?

    • @lmoody9559
      @lmoody9559 9 месяцев назад +1

      She wants a more gradual increase and a shorter brim and the half double crochet is a short stitch. So she can increase every 5th chain in the first row to start the flair And then double the length (8hdc, 1inc) of increase on the next row. The hdc stitch isn’t increasing in length as much so there won’t be any noticeable stitch gaps in the brim.
