Suggestion, at the end of each round for people who are beginners you should say how many stitches should be at the end of each round, it would be helpful.
@@johnettadenisekemp480 okay,i’d take note of that nxt time
Thanks😊
You're the best 🎉🎉🎉🎉. Easy to follow. Great teacher 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤
So nice to hear😊
Thank you🙏
I haven't finished a project in a while so I'm attempting this one now. So far so good
I see that you do your hdc differently… I’ve never looped the first one and then go all the way through I usually go all the way through…and of course I didn’t notice until you got to the back loops…But I’m going to do it your way going forward to see the difference if any😊
For the brim, on the first row you increase on 4, then on the third row you increased on 8 is that right, or should it be increased on every 5th stitch?
Hi
On row 5 of the brim should i make 8hdc then increase or 10hdc and increase?
Wat size yarn yu use plz? And can yu explain row 5 in part 3 plz
New subbie over here from Jamaica 🇯🇲... currently making mine in a sparkle white yarn 😊
Wow…so nice to have you here🥰
Would love to see ur finish project,u can tag me on IG to see😊
I’ve been to Jamaica lately. Omg it was so nice. Everyone is so nice there. I hope to go again one the future. Plus the food there is yummy 😋 I’m a huge foodie btw.
Thank you very much

I like how you staggered the increases so that the top remains round and dont assume an octagonal shape 14:42
Yea.. Thank you
Thank you for the measurements 🥺.
You’re welcome 😊
What are the stitches after row 5? The video cut out after that.
On the crown - after the rows you walked us through what is the pattern you used for the remaining 6 rows? Was it the increase then hdc x3 from the last row walked through?
This was very easy to follow, that part just confused me!
No..watch again
On that last row i worked i made 3 HDC nd increase on d 4th ch space.
So on the new row u will work 4 HDC nd increase on d 5th ch space.
Nxt row 5 hdc increase on the 6th ch space
Just like that till you’ve gotten the diameter of ur head
Please what kind fo yarn can I use
I don't see what weight this yarn is. Also is it cotton or acrylic? Thank you
please where did you buy this bonus DK yarn
Great hat! But how many stitches did you end to be able to make increases first :4 hdc,1 hdc increase, and then 8 hdc,1 hdc increase? Thanks
I did it ❤❤❤
Hello, is this in uk terms or us terms?
Please where can i get this type of yarn?
Am I supposed to alternate between starting with an increase and normal HDC at the beginning of each row for the crown?
Yes..follow as shown in the tutorial
Great video. Good directions and also liked the printed instructions for each row. Easy to follow. I paused for each row and followed along.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What type of yarn is this
Hello I really loved these video
Thank you , but am having issues with the row that helps to bend , I guess it cos I used regular yarn 😢
Thank you
Nop
Did u crochet on the backloop?
It's important to put the stich count in after finishing each row for beginers 😊
Yea, I’d be taking note of that subsequently
thanks👍
Hi there is this cotton dk yarn
❤
What is a 3.5 F needle
Hi Omah. I love your tutorial. Im trying to finish my first hat but need HELP here, anyone! At 9:00 on video after completing ROW 5, you add 6 more rows to reach 6". QUESTION IS: What's the pattern for those 6 rows? Do i continue will ROW 5 instructions or start over? Please someone help ASAP! Thank you 😢😢😢
Hey dear…Thanks, I appreciate😊
ROW 6: increase on the 5th ch space X repeat till end
ROW 7: increase on the 6th chain space X repeat
Keep the pattern till u hit ur diameter
great video, however mine came out a bit too big for my head, what did i do wrong? and how to fix it and what to do differently next time?
Okay dear, you have to first measure round ur head and divide the number by 4.then any number you get should be the side of ur crown before you start making the body part (B). Thats the way to make exactly ur hat size otherwise it will be loose
I wanted to ask from row 5 it’s 1 increase and 3 single hdc till you get to your desired length because you didn’t explain that clearly of do you keep increasing the number of single hdc
When doing the rows to get the desired length you just keep doing 1 hdc in each stitch around. There’s no increasing
@@user-vt9jl8ck8d this doesn’t answer my question but thanks I kinda already figured it out
I added 1 more hdc to each row. So if u ended R5 with 2 hdc st then do 3 in the next row then 4 in the next row n 5 in the following etc. Hope that helps.
@@CandiSam78Exactly,just keep adding 1 more hdc on each row.but when u start with an increase you dont end with increase again and vice versa
I put 1hdg in the next 3change in Inc In the next stitch. What do you do in the 4th row
Hi Omah, awesome tutorial. I have just one question. Did you do the back loop throughout for the body of the hat or just the beginning row?
😊Just immediately after the crown only
Thank you
@@laureenonoja8100u’re Welcome🤗
Hi what’s the count for row5, is it 2 HDC in one single crochet and in the next one it’s only 1 HDC and repeat?
No hun, 2 HDC in 1 stitch & a single HDC in the next 3 stitches: each group of stitches in your pattern should equal the # of row you’re on. Ex: Row 5 = 2 HDC in same stitch (the increase) + 1 HDC in the next 3 stitches… then repeat. 2 (increase) + 3 (total number of single HDC before the next increase) = 5 stitches before you repeat you’re pattern (row 5 = 5 stitches in group). You can also reverse it; 3 single HDCs then 2 HDC (increase). Hope I explained it well enough to understand. Lmk if it helped 🤗
Why did you go from 4 hdc and 1 inc to 8 hdc and 1 inc for the brim?
She wants a more gradual increase and a shorter brim and the half double crochet is a short stitch. So she can increase every 5th chain in the first row to start the flair And then double the length (8hdc, 1inc) of increase on the next row. The hdc stitch isn’t increasing in length as much so there won’t be any noticeable stitch gaps in the brim.
@@lmoody9559 thank you!!
Hi! I’m having some trouble with R1 on the brim where we increased in every 5th stitch (88 stitches total) but I have 2 stitches remaining in that row. Does that affect R3 where I have to increase into the 8th stitch ??
No
Okay thank you! So having 2 remaining stitches in the row is normal?
Followed the instruction yet my circle isn't good
Did you increase any more to achieve the 6”?
Yes…for the crown i increased more till I hit the diameter of my head
What pattern did you use on the last 6?
@@beinstl2447 just add 1 more chain to each new row before an increase nd repeat till the end of the row😊
Please I'm confused at row 5, is it 2 hdc, 3 hdc and single hdc in the next 3 chains and repeat pattern?
No
On rows 5= 1 increase with 3 hdc all along that row
Nxt row=4 hdc,with one increase x repeat.
Till u hit ur heads diameter
@@StylesbyOmah Thank you I get it now 😘😘
This is really good but mine is too difficult for me , I stich and I loose it again and again. It's not forming at all
Take a deep breath😅
Now start afresh And crochet as u watch.
Fill free too pause nd rewind
If you follow my tutorial step by step You will surely get it right😊
@@StylesbyOmah 'll
Great tutorial!!!! Do you by chance have the written pattern??? I want to make it for a larger head
Thank you!
No dear, buh if u want to make for a bigger head all u need to do is to increase the crown size(Say 7inch)
Then the body would align properly too
Thank you 😁
@@StylesbyOmah
Is this yarn chunky?
@@queenveepositivepalace7704 no
Pls teach us how to do the measurements am left out there pls
Follow the tutorial
Mine doesn’t look as good as yours 😅the body is not good up sturdy, it’s just going flat
Mine isn't round again at Step 5. Y?
U’re probably missing something.
Start afresh nd do exactly as i do nd ur hat would be ready soon😊

I want to make myself one.
How do I know it'll fit me?😭
Can anyone help me with measurements for different sizes.
Run a tape round ur head and divide that by 4
It quite simple
Use ur diameters and you are good to go
What is a 3.5 needle F
I think it's an #7
Hi, i think i yarned to tight l, because my crown is not flat like yours, I hope you respond
I think you missed some steps while increasing on the crown part.
Pls go back nd watch carefully,u will get it right
@@StylesbyOmah and I want so far I'm so pained
@@ebonybutterfly4954 😅sorry abt that.Thats just the life of a crocheter, and frogging is inclusive.Just need to watch out for details first nd be more careful
Where did you get your yarn 🧶
A store in UK
Where did you get your yarns
Followed instructions turned out nothing like your disappointed with
@@kabrown3824 you probably didn’t do exactly as i did
Restart nd follow nd exactly nd u will get same result as others did
Why is my hay not bending but I used back loop😭😭😭😭
Okay calm down
Not everyone gets things right at first sight
So I’d say, start afresh and do as i do,step by step u will arrive at same results with me😊
Don’t skip the video, watch becox every single step matters as u will hear me explaining✌🏼
Hi
How many yarn did you use
I didn’t even finish this particular ball here cox its 100grms
@@StylesbyOmah oh okay
I don't understand my bucket hat oo
On the 5th row, where u said that we should 🌟 with 2 half double crochet stitch then on the next chain or hole we should make a 3 half crochet. That particular row was not straight it was as if I was making a ruffle pattern
I don't understand am not getting same thing with u😢
Am a learner and am getting tired already
Okay,slow down…
Yes row 5:1 increase and 3 hdc
Riw 6:4 hdc and 1 crease (end with an increase)
Row 7: 1 increase and 5 hdc
This is how u keep adding 1 hdc on each row till u get to ur diameter.
As a beginner i think u should check d tutorial on crochet stitches down here and watch it so u don’t make a mistake
Let me know if this was helpful and tag me when ur project is ready so i can see
Great tutorial but on the back loop row youre doing extended hdc instead of hdc.
If 5.5 inch is an adult had how many inches child be a child around the age of 5
Diameter of an adultis from 5.5-7 inches…Age 3-10 could be 4-5
To be accurate i will advise u run a tape round the head nd then divide that circumference by 4 then work with the result
Mine is to tight😢
Reduce ur tension
And be sure U’re doing exactly the same
Do you mind speaking a little slower when giving instructions. Thank you so kindly.
You can slow down or sped up the video in your own yt player
The background and the color you're working with did not help at all.
If you're opened to suggestions, please use a plain and bright but reserved colored background for deep colors and vice versa.
I had a challenge concentrating.
Some of your viewers that admire and love your works have visual challenges and this made me dizzy.😢😢😢
Thanks and I hope you understand.
