I think the last year of these cars look great. With the 3800 it should rip and the phrase"Pontiac, we build excitement" will ring true. There might even be space for a small turbo down the road, to you know, give it a whistling sound.Put some good brakes on it so you can stop.
Iove your videos I’ve been following this project since you guys got the car I even seen the listing on marketplace and thought about picking it up but anyways that’s irrelevant I have an 86 GT and it currently has 73k miles and recently bought a 1998 Grand Prix to swap the motor. I’m from Salem if you guys don’t mind I would love to see it in person when it’s finished
Im excited to see finished product. !!! I helped my brother in law install a 6r80, cyclone 3.7 & epas out of a wrecked 14 mustang and in stalled it in a 1998 Miata. custom steel Drive shaft was like 18-22 inches HaHa. besides a custom exhaust everything is stock even tune. Dynoed 279whp at 6400rpm Ran a best of 12.2@ 113 mph on 235 tire that spun very badly. Car is terrifying to drive hard, I figure The Miata should be about the same weight as your Fiero GT. So I imagine if tractions right and you could put 300whp "down" you would have a solid 11s Street Car. Even Crazier if you up the boost. Make sure you get as much tire as you can your gonna need it .
Hey guys keep up the great work. I bought a 86 fiero with a 3800sc on a pallet with it. I’m just about to mount the engine on my subframe and I’m glad to be keeping up with your videos. What state are you guys in? I got mine 3/29/24. Race ya
Glad to see that you are getting on with it. However, your solid mount setup will shake your teeth out! I hope you don't intend to drive long distances with this car? Going solid mounts means basic race car only. Please be mindfull that the cradle will quite possibly crack around the front and rear gearbox mounts... But never the less, good job👍
I've noticed in your videos you repeat allot. Good content just repeat what you just said sentence before or shortly after. Welds look good. My only advice is burn in a tad more for better strength. Otherwise excited to see finished project. I'm in the gathering process of my 86 SE SC build. No video because I'm a hack with cameras.
nice. Can't wait to see it run...
You and me both!

Thanks! Planning on making this mostly a drag car so not very concerned about the vibrations. I will be reinforcing the cradle
Thank you!
What flywheel and clutch set are you using?
