Great explanation! I also recently interviewed Robert Cialdini on my podcast, and he shared more great stuff there.

You're from Cardiff? Me too! (Liking 😅 5th principle of influence).
No, seriously, I am from Cardiff too. I love the video, Pete.

One of the things that Chris Voss from Black Swan Groups mentions in his book is about the yes trap. In the second principal of commitment/consistency mentions that "you get them to say yes for a smaller ask and then they'll automatically have the urge to say yes to the bigger ask".
Wanted to know what are your thoughts on that. Cause the "Yes" trap feels real when I speak to customers and when I ask them a question which if answered yes will get them into a trap they usually don't respond.

Yep! It’s legit. That’s the foot in the door

      Yes! That’s right!
I love Chris Voss too! I literally give away copies of his book to people.
People don’t like yes in general because Chris says they’ve been conditioned by people using the “yes trap,” the “yes tie down,” or the “foot in the door” approach that yes is commitment, and commitment can be used by people who someone might not want to commit to. Yes, in that case, would be a trap.
It seems like since you’re over here and on Chris’ RUclips channel, you need help building your sales skills?
It might seem like I have something to sell. Just excited to connect with someone else who follows Voss’ work. This will probably make me sound weird, I literally use Never Split the Difference for all my social interactions.

I'm confused if to purchase the new edition or the previous one. Please let me know if there's any difference/ improvement between them which would help the reader. Or if the previous is all I need to purchase?

Would always buy the latest version of any book. Will have the most up to date science and POV from the expert. Books are so cheap anyway, worth the difference.

You have to be Sure Of Yourself, and Be Careful Not To Take Unnecessary Risks where someone just wants to get in your pants, and puts caution to the wayside.
In Other words, beware of people who use The Power Of Persuasion For Sex for Their Own Purposes seperate From Any Considerations regarding Your Safety.
