Minneapolis used to have many single-family homes, but now it has many apartment homes. If you move to a high-crime area (North Central, South Central), you will have a lower housing cost, BUT you may have a food desert (no stores). The closer you are to downtown, the more crime you will see. Aldi's food has affordable food prices. The healthcare system is one of the best in the nation. I have a Special Needs Child, and he gets a lot of help, more so than when we were in AZ. We want to leave, but primarily, we stay because of the care that he receives here.

I'm happy that your son gets the care that he needs here.

The costs of Minneapolis living depend greatly on how many liberals are in charge. Since the dems took over the mayor and city council spots costs have gone up greatly for cost of living, buying, and having a business there.
