That was the BEST explanation of hip movement I've ever seen. Some dance teachers start off with the basic steps but neglect the hip movement, saying that will fall into place. Well I DON'T DANCE but am now going full bore into learning Salsa dancing !!! Thank You Danny.
I am a committed LA Salsa dancer with white boi hips. Years of combo training but never shown how to move my hips. This is it! awesome mate, thanks!
I’ve been to beginner salsa classes and watched videos but this is the only demonstration that actually worked for me.
same here :)
thank you:) i'm mexican and i can't find any tutorials in spanish as easy as this one hahaha i guess we're expected to be born having rythm but I have NONE
Holy hell, this actually worked for me. I mean it worked IMMEDIATELY. I can't believe it. I've been angrily lectured by Latin girls for years about how I have no hip movement and I eventually told myself that my hips are just too stiff to move that way, but all this time it was just me and one simple little adjustment. Unbelievable.
😂I can't believe this is so difficult... I'll get it! Thank you, this has been thoroughly explained.
I have seen so many salsa tutorials but still don't get the basics and this is the best and clearest explanations!
Most salsa dancers in Seattle have great technique but zero hip movement. It still baffles me, I get asked all the time who taught me because I had a phenomenal teacher who taught me hips. It helps me to connect to my partner and to the music.
The hip movements are difficult combined with the feet. You made it easier for me to learn and follow. Thank you!
There is absolutely no way you only have this many subs man! I’ve been practicing these videos for the last three days committing to learning and I’m having an amazing time! Keep doing your thing man🔥
Great explanation. Love that your shoes have different colours.
It explained the deep body movement very well .It's been almost 15years since i started salsa. but I haven't really thought about the movement of my body, Thanks 🙏🙂
Great dance techniques. Thank you for sharing Danny.
perfect explanation!
I found this very useful…just went to my first salsa class yesterday. The advice about progressively rolling your foot down made a lot of sense to me, also not touching down with the heel on ‘5’ is something I’m glad to have pointed out to me at this stage. Thanks
Your coaching is incredible, keep doing what you are doing it really helped
Super helpful and GREAT VIDEO! I am really working on making my steps smaller and emphasising my body movement. What you said about the hips and large steps completely makes sense. Great drill to work on it too!
Thank you for the video! Very clear and helpful
By far the best technique. Thank you so much:)
What a great explanation 🤝
Wow. Thank you. Still so much to wlarn about this amazing art called salsa.

If you faced camera instead of use your side, the movement would be more clear to us.
should it really be this technical to shake the hips lol
