That was the BEST explanation of hip movement I've ever seen. Some dance teachers start off with the basic steps but neglect the hip movement, saying that will fall into place. Well I DON'T DANCE but am now going full bore into learning Salsa dancing !!! Thank You Danny.

I am a committed LA Salsa dancer with white boi hips. Years of combo training but never shown how to move my hips. This is it! awesome mate, thanks!

I’ve been to beginner salsa classes and watched videos but this is the only demonstration that actually worked for me.

Holy hell, this actually worked for me. I mean it worked IMMEDIATELY. I can't believe it. I've been angrily lectured by Latin girls for years about how I have no hip movement and I eventually told myself that my hips are just too stiff to move that way, but all this time it was just me and one simple little adjustment. Unbelievable.

Most salsa dancers in Seattle have great technique but zero hip movement. It still baffles me, I get asked all the time who taught me because I had a phenomenal teacher who taught me hips. It helps me to connect to my partner and to the music.

The hip movements are difficult combined with the feet. You made it easier for me to learn and follow. Thank you!

I found this very useful…just went to my first salsa class yesterday. The advice about progressively rolling your foot down made a lot of sense to me, also not touching down with the heel on ‘5’ is something I’m glad to have pointed out to me at this stage. Thanks

Super helpful and GREAT VIDEO! I am really working on making my steps smaller and emphasising my body movement. What you said about the hips and large steps completely makes sense. Great drill to work on it too!

If you faced camera instead of use your side, the movement would be more clear to us.
