I think I've missed 1 or 2 squats unexpectedly and put the bar on the safeties. Not really a place to bail in a regular ass gym either.

If you look closely behind you your gym provides squat racks with built in safety bars that have an adjustable height so that the bar cannot crush you and you don't have to risk your knees bailing
You are oh so correct I like to refer people to a man named Jean Pierre Fox who blew his right knee out while squatting inside of a power rack and then during the fall because there was no bars to protect him he blew out his left knee as well he probably would have won the Mr Olympia the next year or at least say finished in the top three and instead nobody knows about him anymore

I don't even like to call them failures. The attempt and the bail both increase strength and endurance. With each attempt, you will be closer to pushing it up because of the previous attempt. It's just another step in the progressive gain. Great job, this is incredible!

Flawlessly done, this is a crucial skill to have in every lift. To bail out of a bench press you can opt to leave the clips off the bar so if you cant get it back up you can dump the plates off to either side provided you're on a permitting surface.
This is why i dont squat inside the rack. I feel like dumping the bar like this is so much safer, you just have to know how to do it properly. Good job keeping safe man

Crazy to see the proportions this guy has, massive upper body and torso. I think it makes such a difference with these big weights, same reason gaining weight to a certain point makes you lift more.
