Hey everybody! Thanks for watching this video on "My Favorite Music Videos of All-Time". In this video I'm talking about a bunch of different ways that the medium of music videos works its magic. Whether you're doing some kind of artistic short film, a traditional lip-sync, something super vague and metaphorical, or you wanna test out your creative chops and mix & match these things...the possibilities are endless. From Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar, to Bjork and Carly Rae Jepsen, Young Thug to Daft Punk, Rick Astley to OutKast and everybody in between -- here are some of my favorites! Let me know what yours are down below.

The Jamiroquai video was achieved by the camera being attached to a small set that moved about a larger room. So the floors are never actually moving, it's all the walls, but because Jamiroquai's dancing is so good, he effectively gave the impression that he's moving about on a moving floor.

To me, the BEST music video ever is Johnny Cash - HURT. Something about it just fucks me up bad. The fact he's basically DYING of old age while recording the video is just heartbreaking. And the editing and cinematography also really shows his regrets with his life of being a famous folk singer and songwriter, knowing that all of that fame is for nothing at the end.

False Alarm by The Weeknd is my personal favorite. Super creative work with a drone plus the first person POV they used for the whole thing, with action happening at all the right times. It’s something straight out of a video game almost.

The Hi This is Flume visualizer deserves a shoutout. Imo the greatest music video of all time is Hurt by Johnny Cash though. A haunting look back at the flaws, love, and life of a legend made all the more powerful by the masterful editing.

If you ever do something like this again, you should include at least one Rammstein music video. Most of their videos are SUPER over the top, and that isn’t a bad thing at all, since that always means awesome visuals and crazy storylines attached to them.

With the Hey Ya video, I think it just adds to the meaning behind the song itself. We're having fun just like the people in the audience dancing to the song without really listening to what he's saying.

    Some of my favourites
Jay-Z - The Story of OJ - The aesthetic is unmatched and the visuals are the best I’ve seen in a mv
Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy & Enei - Sinking - These are both just terrifying
Flying Lotus - Putty Boy Strut & Noisia - Could This Be - I love this cyclical stuff in music videos, I’m sure there’s so many more
Kendrick Lamar - HUMBLE & Stormzy - Sounds of the Skeng - Cool rap videos with cool shots are cool
Mura Masa - Wherever You Go - because I’m British and that’s reason enough
Porter Robinson - Shelter - One of the most emotional experiences I’ve ever had listening to music
All the Daft Punk anime/esque stuff - because
    And OKGO’s everything
