    Fun fact the panavision c series takes its spherical elements from the Cooke S2s!

    nice looking lenses and. love aivascope. But would be nice if you had lens focal length and f/stop on some shots. Shooting wide open on Aivascope many times doesn't look great bcz the scope struggles to form proper bokeh at wider apertures.
    Cool cat video.......

      For sure. We don’t ever shoot WO on aiva. Usually 2.8 or 3.1 zone.

    Whatabout pairing SP3 with the Blazar Nero 1.5X ? Is it too different from Aivascope ?

    In your last video you guys mentioned you have a solution to the Sirui SVT75 feet, using feet from Proaim. A few of us requested a link or name of the product in the comments for that video. Can you let us know what your solution was?

      @NorthwestCameraCo  8 месяцев назад

      Still getting around but looks like they were sachtler feet. If we find other solutions will post findings also

    How did you adapt the Aivascope to the 58mm front thread of the Cooke SP3 1:32

    • @NorthwestCameraCo
      @NorthwestCameraCo  4 месяца назад +1

      Just a 58-52 step down ring

    • @shanilkawimalasena2383
      @shanilkawimalasena2383 4 месяца назад

      Am I correct to assume that adding a step-down ring would cause a lot of vignetting on full-frame sensors?

      might be a bad viewing. All is sharp on our end. Well as sharp as anamorphic as a format is in general. lol

      it does look better in 2160 format. Do you have any test chart frames to look at?@@NorthwestCameraCo

    • @galenandrus4158
      @galenandrus4158 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@UrsMader yeah I mean if putting on a 50 is all you care about sure, but if you plan to actually use them as a full set for on set use it’s not viable. Can’t really go wider than a 40 and even at 40 it’s vignetted like crazy. It’s a cool look on FF, just restrictive

    • @NorthwestCameraCo
      @NorthwestCameraCo  8 месяцев назад +1

      Well, they are more versatile in S35 mode as you can get between 35-85 while maintaining decent sharpness, you can go full frame with a 50mm-85mm, but you start losing sharpness after passing 85mm lenses. Also we wanted a true 4k master so the e mount fx30 was really the only option. Could have done fx9 in S35 mode, but wanted to be a little lighter since we were run and gun in the park.

  • @ArreolaIgnacio

    Why do they look so pale and over exposed? also the colors look off on everything.

    Why everyone so obsessed with FX30, it's not THAT great.

    • @NorthwestCameraCo
      @NorthwestCameraCo  8 месяцев назад +1

      Well at the moment the RF mounts have not shipped yet for people so no way to get it on Raptor or Komodo YET. As far as fx30. It’s the only E mount S35 sensor that would give us a full 1:1 4k output for aivascope coverage. Would loved to have done this on another camera for sure. Hopefully Cooke releases these RF mounts asap.

      Much Cheaper than full size Cooke 2x Cooke anamorphics, but def more expensive than a budget scope option.
