Cookes are the only lenses where I can tell that they are being used. Most of the other stuff is myth. I couldn't tell the difference between Zeiss and Arri primes, you know? Or even Leicas. But Cookes....now they are distinctive. Soft yet still detailed and WARM. Very hard to convey.
