THANKS DAVE for everything I have learned through your channel. I am relatively new to the hobby and feel very happy and relaxed…keep on doing what your doing. ❤
Hi Dave and camera lady I am a big fan I've been watching your videos for a few years love them And my granddaughter now asks me to watch spider videos 😊🕷️🕸️❤
Im unvialing/rehousing 12 slings of different species tomorrow including a 2 inch OBT! Already have all the enclosures ready. I really have to thank you because you said in a video you found slings can do really well with a little more space if you watch them closer and its worked out like a dream for me! These will get me up to 32 after 2 months with 25 different species. Everyone is doing really well thanks to the educatators out there like you!
Good morning. 😊 I saw something cute amongst the vagan's slings. If you stop the video at 7:10 then you see in the bottom right a little one on its back to moult. Always so cute to see. 😊 Have a lovely day, Christel from Antwerp
Thank you for another great video with lots of valuable information. I truly appreciate all you do to bring us these videos. It doesn't matter if you use a fancy camera or your phone, we get what's most important, and that's the content!!!
Sorry about your computer woes. It was nice hearing more from Camera Lady. Since she will be chained to the work bench tomorrow, will you be taking her out to dinner lol? You are both great. I really enjoy you.
Yay, i finally can hear clearly what camera lady is saying, thank to the iPhone! 🎉 She would also need a microphone when you get back to filming with the camera. 😊
You did a great job with the phone camera lady!!! Good luck with all those slings!!! Very interesting video!!! I always wondered why spiders had trouble with molts sometimes.
You had an egg sack that had maybe 19 eggs with leggs. Some looked very sad. I don't know if you said what happened to it and I missed it.? Watch you ever Sunday at midnight😊. Good questions Mrs. Camera lady. Working up the courage to take a corner spider outside. Peace, Annie in Kansas
Oooh and a question for your Q&A could you possibly go over types of webbing spiders make and what they tell us i.e moult mat egg sac lining burrows how they use web to catch prey within their tanks o find it intresting how much different webbing tells us different things what our spider os doing 😊
Hello Dave and Camera Lady! So lovely to see your happy faces. Exciting stuff about the room. Here comes the fun part! My question for you is about breeding. It makes sense to me that the popular T’s in your neck of the woods would be different across the pond here in the U.S. If you are breeding for the hobby there in the UK, which T’s are most needed? Same question for the U.S. You often mention certain males that are hard to get. Can you focus breeding on that type to maybe beef up the population? I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great video. Love you guys!🩷❤️🧡💛❣️
I like your theory of husbandry. coaxing, not driving, a spider from its old to its new enclosure. and disturbing them as little as possible until they signal need for attention (like feeding). That's probably why you spiders respond so positively to your care. I love your channel.
Finally some electricity done! You should definetly do wooden shelves, it's natural and looks good ☺ Are you planning on putting some color on the walls? I'd vote for a muted greyish green 🌿🌲
What you saying about the moulting, is soo true. My A.bicoloratum was one of my fist tarantulas, i bought them as a sling and see it for 2 months, then she starts to borrow for the pre moult. I didn’t see her for 10 months, every month i open the enclosure as a beginner to look if she is ok. Dont worry the T’s know what they are doing
Love seeing the updates on the babies 😊 I think its great that camera lady asks questions because they could be a question that someone is watching and thinking the same thing and they get the answer Really looking forward to seeing the progress of the new Beasties room 😊👍🏻
Helllo Dave & Camera Lady! Great video! I’m sorry about the technical issues you guys are having. I’m hoping they’re resolved soon! Holy heck!! We’ve got an electrician!! At long last!! I’m looking forward to the new room videos. Ooooh yay!! A new Q&A video!! I do have a few. I don’t believe my questions were answered on the last one, which was released just before my disappearance. -What is Dave’s favourite part about doing RUclips? -Would Dave one day be open to coming to places out of the UK for meet & greets? Maybe Canada, perhaps? -What is Dave thinking of doing for 100K, if anything? -What is the most annoying part of the channel, if anything? There we go, 4 questions from me. That should be good. Looking forward to that Q&A video! See you on Thursday guys!
great informative video with the catch up on some breedings success PROFF. hopefully the computer issue will be sorted so that you dont loose some footage form the wonderful CAMERA LADYS good work. many thanks guys and take care
That's great news the electrician is sorted out. Fingers crossed with sorting out the PC. Technology can be a pain when it plays up. Especially for old people like me, lol
my B. Hamorii juvinile went into premoult on Xmas day and locked it's self away until the start of June. I just lef them alone and stuck in some food every couple of weeks, some times they ate other times they just left them alone. no problems once they decided to show face again... it just took patience.
FIRST TIME COMMENTING! We love everything you do and recommend your channel to everyone who brings a little beastie home! Thank you for being you and all you do! We are getting ready to set up at our first expo, if you have any tips or advice for us we would love to listen! Also great job camera lady 😉
I've been away for a couple of weeks and the last video I watched was the removal of an egg sack. I remember that you had left the sack in for over 50 days, longer than usual. The sack was very white and "cloud like" you said as you opened it. There were under 20 hatched spiderlings and they all looked very dried out, shriveled skin (?), and very little movement. Most of the sack was infertile eggs. You transferred the few living spiderlings to a nursery pot. Can you please share if any of those lived? And if so, how many made it out if the approximate 20 spiderlings? Thank you.
I have a question do you plan on getting spiders that you used to have and expanding the breeding program 🤔 ❤ I truly wish I had the money and space to have a spider (tarantula) it's one way to keep my siblings away😂😂 ❤❤all the way from Iowa ❤❤❤😊 I normally watch the videos the minute I get a notification that you posted the video. Lately I've had to much to watch on RUclips. I sadly think during the end of summer there isn't much to watch on TV.

A NAS will help with your storage issue wack a couple of 20tb hdds into it and youll be laughing can easily be done for 500-1000 depending on how fast you want to acess your videos but it will stop the issue of you filling your pc up as that will be seprate onsite storage
if you know dave, you know if he can save money on anything he can, a nas storage with how you said a couple of 20TB hhds just for a single 20tb your looking around £300-£400 EACH thats not adding the cost of the NAS itsself for a good one that can hold more then 2 drives your again looking around another £100 upto as high as £500, for storage and a hell of alot cheaper buy yourself online storage (like 1 drive or the cloud) unless you want the hard copy of the video then simple 3.0 USB hard drives once fill you can just put away with a note of whats on this drive you can pick up a 10TB WD for around £140 each what is alot cheaper then the NAS setup
Keeping only old worlds and only a year or so in you speak the truth the only way to tell an old world is getting ready for molt is it shuts itself out. My 10 old worlds are the hardest pets i have. I have noticed it's easier to observe the reflective abdomen before molt on terrestrial species, but I keep mainly arboreal old worlds love them to death, they burrow and climb best of both worlds. EDIT: I guess that's a tarantula pun lol

Hi Dave, my Hamorii molted a couple of months ago after being in premolt for what seemed like a year. When she molted, I noticed a small hole on her sternum and what looks like connective tissue in the hole. It's around 3mm x 4mm. It doesn't seem to be bothering her - she's eating, drinking, pooping and rearranging her enclosure as normal. She will only eat morio worms or pachnoda grubs. There are no mites visible on her. Will this hole go with her next molt ? Thanks in advance x
Just experienced a horrible failure of paring two jumping spiders of mine, the female end up eating the smaller male...because he dance in the shadow and she mistaken him as a danger(I guess). Followed all the suggestions online, but pairing is not as simple as it seems. Should’ve predict her behavior better.Could you share some experience of reading the dangerous behaviour some day?
Hi dave i have a desert blonde sling i havent swen the baby in about 3 months it sealed of its hide and im aure if i should go finding it or not mate im so worried any advice would be appreciated
I have a gravid tigrinawesseli that i think is impacted.. i had her in a catch cup to soak and wipe her with a Q-tip but it didn't seem to help, i couldn't break the plug. She's due to drop soon, so I've been keeping her on the moist side. Shes been refusing food for a good while now..
Morning lovely video from you both o wanted to ask where you tou get your squeezy water bottle from? need something to fill my ts water with and cant find it if tou could let me know thanks😊. Im receiving a few females tomorrow P Cambridgeii, P.mirinus dcf mikumi, and C dyscolus and a suprise pslamopeous species aswell cant wait to house them all so im going to have fun. Defo need ro see camera lady potting up a few slings tuat reduncas is beautiful 😍
Hi Dave, I have a subadult female Psalmopoeus victori and I want to breed her when she matures. The breeder I got her from said for whatever reason that species is pretty nasty to males and the pairings they’ve tried the male gets eaten immediately. Have you bred this species yet, and if so any tips? I haven’t bred any of my tarantulas yet since none of my females have matured yet.
Question: I had a GGB who molted out male and then never ate again. He hung on for about 9 months but ultimately died. Normal behavior or just one of those, "sometimes it happens" type scenarios?
Normal and normal, is impossible to answer 100% its all due to the individual spider, some refuse to hunt down bigger roaches/crickets or whatever you use, others dont want food for quite sometime, other dont eat anymore, but that i havent seen so often. I have seen adult male refuse to eat bigger meals, when its an adult male it about maintaining the spider, not feeding it for growing anymore, so smaller roaches is the way to go. and as said, bigger roaches might make it refuse the food.
THANKS DAVE for everything I have learned through your channel. I am relatively new to the hobby and feel very happy and relaxed…keep on doing what your doing. ❤

The breeder I got her from said for whatever reason that species is pretty nasty to males and the pairings they’ve tried the male gets eaten immediately. Have you bred this species yet, and if so any tips? I haven’t bred any of my tarantulas yet since none of my females have matured yet.
I found them to be pretty gentle and my males have been in multiply times to pair ?
What up with the room you have not said anything or showed any progress?
He’s mentioned in a few recent videos that he is waiting on the electrician.
He has said several times they are waiting on an electrician.
I cant make my own comment fave and camera lady just wanted to let you know can't wait to see your new room 😊😊
What happened with the recent avicular sac that had so many infertile eggs?
We spoke about in a previous video 15 survived ❤
Question: I had a GGB who molted out male and then never ate again. He hung on for about 9 months but ultimately died. Normal behavior or just one of those, "sometimes it happens" type scenarios?
Good question! I've had a couple of male T's that also stopped eating and died later.
@@lynnettecook6973they are all individual generally most will eat
