actually Grindelwald and Dumbledore were more than blood brothers, Dumbledore is gay-they swore never to fight each other due to the love they had for each other
I loved the 1st movie- the feel, creativity and beauty. I really like how Eddie Redmayne created Newt and love the fantastic beasts and, of course, my favourite Kowalsky. The next 2 movies- not so much. Maybe you are right and they are fillers. I really wish they still make the next 2 movies and we get to see how the stories continue and get resolved. I hope they return to the feel and flair of the first movie and let the fantastic beasts cast their magic over us. I give a 4.6 to the first movie and a 3 to the second.
This was the lesser one. I felt the circus investigation scene was just a bit too hand-wavey. Gold dust seeing and hearing past, boom. A feather, boom. The cat creature, boom. Almost like "hey if you've never seen any Potterverse movie at all, here's all the fun setting tones and ideas in one scene." Hamfisted and unnecessary.
Not sure if you guys remember in Harry Potter deathly hallows part 1. Voldemort visited Grindelwald in prison to ask where the elder wand was. Also Negini is voldemorts snake in the movies
Two quick things 1. Aurelius isn't who you saw in Deathly Hallows. That was Dumbledore's brother Aberforth. Aurelius will be explained later. Even the fans didn't know about him before this movie. 2. The snake girl, Nagini, is the Horcrux snake that was Voldemort's pet. The one Neville killed.
@@bradleybarnett1469her being a maledictus is why she permanently became a snake, it’s a family blood curse on women. By the time we see her in HP, she has long since permanently become a snake. Probably longer than she was ever human.

Leta lastrange is an in law to bellatrix, LaStrange is Bellatrix's married name. Bellatrix and narcissa (draco's mom) are sisters and they are Black's cousins to sirius black 5. You learn SO SO much more about Grindelwald and Dumbledores in the Deathly Hollows book. There is more but these are the big ones.
As mixed as my feelings are about these films, one thing I’ll say for them is Newt is an intriguing shift in protagonist. Harry was brash, bold and quick to act whereas Newt is more thoughtful and restrained. An interesting change of pace.

@gpk131 you are on the naughty list!!!! He's a HP character. Besides I live in Switzerland, it's a free country, I can say whatever I like. Enjoy your coal

What in the world does your cat being named Albus Dumbledore have to do with Oak becoming a massive potter fan? Why would you leave that unrelated comment in a REPLY to someone else talking about something else? Are you okay? @@weaponizedglitter69
Exactly...that's what makes him so unique...he convinced them...And he was powerful too... Johnny did justice to this character... didn't like the mads Mikkelsen's approach though
@@ajaydasme6613 I didn't like either, I was always confusing him with tha minister guy who is really similar, not even noticed he had the blue eye in the beggining, he was a weak character.....
And you can trust the wrong person. For me Voldermort and Grindelwald are the same, The Agenda is the same, one do it straight forward and the other do it behind a smoke curtain. I personally would not trust a person that have so much prejudices and supremecy thinking as Grindelwald have.
I love these non HP movies because we get to see the more serious side of the adult magical world. They are able to show bigger cooler magic as well as more dramatic acting and story plots. And I am sure that others will say this but Nagini, Credence's circus friend is the same snake Voldemort makes his horcrux.
I really love how far Oak has come into fandom for the sci-fi/fantasy movies he’s missed out on with the Potter franchise, LOTR franchise, and the Hunger Games. You guys have some of the best and most thoughtful genuine reactions!
@@davidbaye3758 What great for you is that you don't have to wait for these movies to come out like the rest of us did! You're really going to enjoy yourself watching these movies!
The Malidictus...woman/snake... Nagini... you already know her. She is the same snake that becomes Voldemort's, but by then, the transformation is permanent. Also... this series does not end with the next movie, it is supposed to be 5 movies, climaxing with the final duel between Dumbledore and Grindlewald in 1945. And speaking of them... (you learn this in the books) they meet as young men and become inseparable until the death of Arianna, Dumbledore's little sister.. Not explicitly said in the books, but definitely hinted, is that they were lovers. This was confirmed by J.K.R. later. The scene where Dumbledore is looking in the Mirror of Erised, you are seeing a young Dumbledore and Grindlewald together.
@@IamNinjaOfNinja he killed Bertha Jorkins to make Nagini a horcrux back in 1994 and used her as a pawn to gain valuable information for the Triwizard Tournament that he then used to try and kill Harry as we all saw/read in Goblet of Fire. I’m a flight attendant and right after they have finished filming the 3rd movie Jude Law was my passenger and as a potter head I didn’t know how to react when I recognized his eyes as I’m sure even though he’s with mask I know Dumbledore. But i’m a fan of his in general. I cried a little in the toilet in amazement but wanna respect his privacy with his family. At the end of the flight couldn’t help but talk to him and tell him im a fan and even was excited for the 3rd one. All he said was Oh you will love it! It will be amazing 🥲 He’s such a down to earth person and even told me if I wanna have photos but unfortunately my phone was in my bag far from me was already about to leave. But it will be forever in my core memory 🥰 So as I was so excited for the movie to come out that time, I’m also excited for you guys to see the 3rd one ❤️
5:56 I think the way this introductory conversation is shot is really fantastic, it makes a point of showing how Newt actually looks at Leta's face - he very rarely makes eye contact with people.
I think you guys missed them saying it, but the girl/snake, that's Nagini, Voldemort's snake/horcrux. Also, the brother in the mirror was Alberforth, Creedence is Aurelius. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I love these series, but I get the people that don't. I just love how free they can be with magic and creatures. Next one is one of my favorites. For me it's 1>3>2.
@@tittrev Maybe because Nagini nourished him and helped him survive in between book 2 and 4? Maybe because he thought Nagini would be a safer horcrux to make because she can defend herself.
@@laurieallen436 perhaps… but it leaves a bit of a gap… Nagini was originally human who ended up permanently transfigured into snake form. She also was in love with a relative of Dumbledore. Seems a bit too close to home
@@tittrev yeah, that's what happens when stories are retconned poorly. And then she disappeared in the third movie. So until jkr does something with her again, it's just convenient coincidence
I do appreciate how disdain and disinterest in the abilities and importance of animals is often the downfall of villains in the Potter universe. It's also why Newt so often succeeds against skilled Dark wizards, who overlook the intelligence and skills of creatures.
I've seen this before but only JUST realized while watching this that Owls were being used in the Ministry. It's a great spot of continuity since Arthur mentions in the 5th movie on the way to Harry's trial that they used to use owls but switched to paper planes!! EDIT: Upon further consideration. They included they magical "Rumba" because like of the Owl droppings. Arthur said they switched because of the mess.
Johnny depp as grindelwald was just perfect. that speech of his when he entering into the stage it was goosebumps. i really liked Johnny as the villian it was perfect Aura and perfectly intimidating personality.
Great reaction guys 👍🏻 The Young man in the mirror was the young Grindelwald. He is played by Jamie Campbell Bower, and has already appeared in the Harry Potter movies. He and Dumbledore used to be in love
idk about you guys but Leta saying "You never met a monster you coundn't love" to Newt was heartbreaking for me, not only it shows she could never forgive herself for what she did but also shows she knows newt actually loves her..... And when she said "i love you" and they didn't clarified who she was talking to, I think it was kinda with both of them.... she probably didn't chose Nwet cause she thought he deserved someone better...
17:51 SHE HAS EYES JUST LIKE A SALAMANDER no because literally i got teary in the cinema watching this the first time because everyone laughed but i totally get that for newt, he was in full romantic mode - HE KNOWS WHAT HER EYES LOOK LIKE AND HE LOVES IT. he doesn't even MAKE eye contact with people, so to be thinking about tina's eyes?????? ROMANCE.
@@Starfish0. That would be very odd, though. To have him come back after someone else played him. Unfortunately they might end now. They made their bed.
@@moonlitskylight5740 I know but it would be better to have him back, the fans would support him and it would be good for the movies. He played 2 films the other guy only one (the worst in tickets btw). So yeah they payed for their mistake.
I got the notification and literally dropped what I was doing to watch this!!!! - I love you guys reactions, I found u guys at the start of the hunger games and have binge watched your videos since then
I'm not sure if you guys have watched the 3rd movie yet or not, but hoping I can give you a heads up before you go into it, that they recast Grindlewald from Johnny Depp to Mads Mikkelsen. I know this will be probably fairly controversial for you guys, but... I personally think he does a freakin' fantastic job.
Because of the allegations against him by Amber Heard, when everyone turned against him. Nothing to do with his performance or anything. Just felt that had to be stated
I wonder whether, after Grindlewald, after everywhere he perceived his ego had lead, Dumbledore decided staying at Hogwarts, being "a regular old wizard" as much as possible was the best choice to make.
Finally the reaction I have been waiting for. Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwad were lovers. Dumbledore is gay, he was in love with Grindelwald. That's why the made a bloodpact/oath so that they can't fight each other. The ones you see on the Mirror of Erised were young Dumbledore and Grindelwald. The Mirror of Erised is spelled Desire when it reads backward. That mirror shows you your deepest desire. And Albus' deepest desire was to be one with Grindelwald. That's why they're exchanging blood. Their photograph was in the book Hermione read in the dean forest during winter when she and Harry camped. The book called The Life and The Lies of Albus Dumbledore by Rita Skeeter.
I really love Grindelwald he's such a great villain . I feel like people misunderstand that character saying that he's not as frightening as voldemort which makes sense to think that bcuz voldemort was feared by everyone . But Grindelwald is just as frightening bcuz of the way he manipulates people to follow him and how good he seems to them although it's all just to get more powerful and to conquer the magic and non-magic world
@@JuanJose-vb8dy It wasn't a "flop." The 3rd Fantastic Beasts movie doubled it's budget. Sure, it's the least successful film in the series (and probably the worst) but they're doing all five films.
@@Philbert-s2c actually WB has said that it has no plans to continue the series at this point. I think the controversy with JK, Depp and Ezra, and drop in profit and poor reviews after last one, we are done. 😭
There are 2 notable inconsistencies in this film. McGonagall didn't start teaching at Hogwarts until nearly 50 years later and Dumbledore taught Transfiguration, not Defense Against the Dark Arts. And it wasn't Creedence he saw in the Mirror, it was a young Grindelwald. The two of them were romantically involved when they were teenagers.
We only know that Dumbledore taught Transfiguration before becoming Headmaster which happens way later. We also know he was Outstanding in all chosen classes and that he doesn't like Divination. Aside from History of Hogwarts (because of Prof. Binns) he could and probably would (if that subject is free) have taught every subject.
and nobody cares, since the majority doesn't even know this. Of course it's always the hard core fans who whine the loudest and be vocal about those InCoNsIsTeNcIeS. Those were fanservice scenes, nothing more and people enjoyed them for what they are.
I'm just super excited for your reaction as to WHY Albus really can't move against Grindelwald. I mean, I couldn't tell if you guys picked up on it aside from the pact but oh man. That last movie and the scene that explains the necklace... chef's kiss right there. I eagerly await the next vid because that last movie had me shook in places.
I was so sad to see Queenie get seduced; you would think she would be the last. And that line of Leta's: "Newt, you never met a monster you couldn't love". Almost sure she was referring to herself. Except she really wasn't a monster.
Queenie is very innocent, she thought Grindelwald would do something for her to get married with a muggle, he used her and she could not even imagine that Grindelwald hates muggles and want them stop existing. But she can read minds, i dont know if she knows and ignored it, or he did something that she can not read his mind, maybe a spell.
Have you ever considered watching a Jane Austen movie? I think you'd enjoy it a lot more than you might expect. Austen has a wonderful grasp of characters that shines through all the 19th century etiquette and mannerisms. I think you'd really enjoy the 1995 _Sense and Sensibility,_ not least because it has Alan Rickman playing a genuinely good guy for a change, and many other cast members you'll recognize from the HP movies, including star and adaptation writer Emma "Trelawny" Thompson!
That would be interesting to see. Great actors- and of course Alan Rickman. A very different Alan Rickman, not just playing the good guy, but also in 18th century wardrobe and language. Maybe another journey from : „I don’t think those are for me“ to „ I love those movies!“
I swear man, I started watching you guys when you started the harry potter series and its developing into a sort of addiction, im always checking if you guys have uploaded a new video and im so excited to watch this one. I don't know what it is but u guys and ur different personalities make these videos so much fun! Keep up the great work!
The creatures of the magical world are based on different mythologies even though J.K.Rowling created many of her own. Most of them are form different countries’ mythologies. Centaurs, Phoenix, mermaids, basilisk, Pegasus, Cerberus (the three-headed-dog), hippogriffs, chimaera… etc are from Hellas🇬🇷 Creatures like: vampires, trolls, fairies, goblins, kelpies, grindylow, imps, gnomes, unicorns… etc are from the Celtic-British mythology Other creatures like kappa are from Japan. The kelpies are shape-shifting spirits of Scottish folklore🏴 They are spirits that they live in the Scottish Lochs (lakes) and the appear as black horses. In Scotland, at the city of Falkirk there a huge statue of two Kelpies!
No, Dumbledore was never a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. They made it up for the movie, even JK Rowling stated he did not teach this subject before. Also, Mcgonagall wasn't even born for another 8 years when this movie took place. They only added her so that people would go "Ohh, Mcgonagall, I know her from that other thing!!"
A lot of people hated on this movie in particular, but it’s actually my favorite of the FB series so far. I love the tie in of WWII with Grindelwald gaining followers and being the wizarding world’s version of Hitler as the real one rises to infamy. Compelling speeches that ease the listeners into a distaste for muggles, then a disdain, followed by the discrimination of muggles, that could likely lead to a holocaust of muggles. The implications are there in this film without it being over the top obvious. Fun Fact: Nagini (the maladictus snake girl) will eventually become a snake permanently. That is the nature of what she is. And guess who ends up with a pet snake named Nagini…!!! Also, to answer the question at the end: I think it’s harder to do a good sequel series than a good prequel. A sequel has to follow something great and keep the audience engaged. A prequel simply has to establish the lore that’s already there and already has the fanbase built in (usually by them having requested it).
I’m so pumped for all these future journies! I found y’all through Harry Potter and now you guys just keep pumping out these AWESOME reactions. Hunger games, Harry Potter, pirates of Caribbean coming up next!! This is nuts! Y’all should check out the maze runner saga and for tv series, check out the witcher! They’ll suit all your fantasy intrigue!!
For me I found the writing weak. It made no sense to me that Queenie switches sides or at least it wasn't developed enough. The plot was rushed and the characters choices were so out of character for me. This was where I could see that JK is a book writer and not a screenplay writer. Idk. I just found it extremely disappointing but I'll try again soon. Maybe I'll change my mind. My husband loves it and thinks I'm crazy haha. I loved the first FB. 😍
At the end of the last movie, right before Grindelwald (as Mr Graves) revealed his true nature. We saw a slight tiny piece of the Obscurus fly away. It was a remnant of Credence, which is how he survived. Also immortality without suspended aging or Eternal youth is a terrifying thing.
I think if you’ve only watched the HP movies you can enjoy these for what they are, and they’re not bad movies at all, the expansion of the magical world is great. But the reason book readers dislike them is because they break a lot of established rules and lore from the original series. The ages of characters don’t match, Dumbledore taught transfiguration not defense against the dark arts, Jacob remembering contradicts what we know about the obliviate spell, etc, etc. If you don’t focus much on that, they’re fun movies to watch! Great reaction as always!!
What I love about this movies is that we have the chance to see not kids and students, but full-grown people, graduated (or expelled) from school, with all the spells they know. But still, I like the HP saga better
oh once more, when Dumbledore and Grindelwald said they're more than friend.. actually they're "more".. It's a tragic-but-not-so-tragic Dumbledore's one sided love
I hope you guys read this..Since you guys liked movies that had deep meanings/life lessons especially Oak, I really recommend you guys to watch The Haunting of Hill House. It’s a horror series (10 eps) but trust me you wont regret it. It’s so much more than just scary ghost or jump scare, its a beautiful horror story :’)
Sorry, rewatching this and noticed something that made me laugh. My grandma dances a little "jig" as she calls it that looks exactly like Nicholas Flamel's run! that's so hilarious. She's 92. 🤣
Watched the last reaction a couple of minutes ago and now I´m even more exited to watch the second one. Love the movie and now I will see wether you like it too
Some names you heard in this movie might be familiar: Nagini: she will become Voldemort's pet snake Travers: he is an Auror, but his son (or grandson) will be part of Voldemort's Inner Circle Rosier: her relative, Evan Rosier, will also become part of Voldemort's Death Eaters!
So glad you guys are reacting to those! Some people don’t like it I just think we got to see it as a different series that gives us more wizard world. I enjoy them.
I echo what you said: 1 is just a little better than 2, but I still love this movie so much. Perfect casting for young Dumbledore in Jude Law and love that we went back to Hogwarts a little bit. Eddie just plays Newt perfectly and just represents the Hufflepuff house so well. Also I'm so glad they keep introducing new magical beasts, after all this is a Fantastic Beasts movie. PS: Sequels are differently harder to make. There are a bunch of prequels that did pretty well.
I appreciate you guys for seeing the good in the prequel series I think without nitpicking the biggest concern that Potter heads have with the fantastic beasts movies is that they would’ve much rather preferred a movie that was just about Newt and the beasts or another movie series thats just about Dumbledore and Grindelwald so the mix of the two leaves people wanting for more on either side, these films just seem less focused but definitely still entertaining
Jamie Campbell Bower is literally in every movie universe. Seriously, he's young Grindelwald, he's on Twilight, he's on Stranger Things, and he's on Sweeney Todd (which is quite funny since Johnny Depp is also in there)
I agree with your assessment that there were fans who didn't like these movies because they weren't from the original Canon of books.. It's almost as if they felt it was sacrilegious. . But JK Rowling didn't seem to feel that way I looked at this series of three films as a separate entity and I judge them on their own merit. I certainly enjoyed the trilogy. it was well done I loved that it led to a tie back to Harry and Ron and Hermione in the library trying to find a book on Nikolas Famel and the very brief mention they made of Grindelwald as being a wizard who went bad. I enjoy watching your reactions and look forward to seeing what's next!
7:40 If you rewatch the tunnel scene after Credence is 'vaporised' in the first movie, you can see a small sliver of his Obscurus form float away. I missed it in the cinema but my friend beside me didn't, they pointed it out after the film ended and I had to wait to watch it again in the cinema to check ahaha
im so happy that you guys were giddy about newt, his antics and his relationship with tina. it's so interesting to watch ^^ they're really one of a kind. although i do agree that this movie is overpacked with information, i tend to focus on the positives.
I don't think you noticed that the snake turning girl suffering from maladictus is called Nagini. Vauldemort's snake is called Nagini. It's the same snake. 🐍
I love that they touch on the ministry trying so hard to control the people and it's making it worse. Gives background on why Dumbledore/minsitry butt heads. They just went in and punked Dumbledore in his class. At the end they had to go back with their tails between their legs because they messed up. Also funny note that the Auror who killed the woman at the end, ended up joining Grindelwald 😂
The young man in the mirror is Grindelwald. In HP Deathly Hallows Grindelwald is the young boy who steals the Elder wand. Which is in his hand at the opening of this movie. I am surprised you didn't recognise it. I did at once.
I love this movie for Johnny Depp's magnetic performance alone. Everything he does is fascinating to me in here. ..there are a few weird things though, like the fact that McGonagal wasn't yet born when this movie takes place. Disappointing if things like that are really just due to laziness
Mads is a fantastic actor and could’ve been good if he Grindelwald from the start. But he wasn’t. Continuity is key in films with actors and axeing depp was so disappointing:(
Apperently The idea of Harry potter world came to J.K On A Train & Thats how they Travel to Hogwarts i Never knew that until seeing comments, thas why i love watchin reactions always new stuff
I was at Universal the morning before seeing this movie in the theater at a fan event. I bought Queenie's and Leta's wands. Was kinda mad about buying Queenie's after the movie, but I always use Leta's whenever I dress up now. She is my inspiration as to what a Slytherin hero should be. I'm easy to please. 4.9 on my scale.
This movie was better than I remembered, so that’s a yay! Also, the seaweed creature as you named is a Kelpie which is a sea horse creature from Celtic mythology and it’s known to eat people by luring them into lakes.
The worst thing about this movie is that it is so confusing because the script is written like a book and not a movie and that fault lies entirely to JK Rowling and that's a common critique you will see in the next movie as well...when you read the script of the movie it translates much better because there are so many minute details and scenarios that are only exclusive to how a book would be written and its very difficult to translate that to a visual medium and nobody even explains it to you in the movies what those details are so you leave confused as to what's going on, that's why these movies have been having so many problems because while the script is confusing to adapt
Nagini - later voldemorts snake. When Nagini couldnt turn back into her human body she also couldnt talk to anyone for decades - until she met voldemort and joined him.
7:52 are we just going to ignore how he appears smugly from behind the curtains after a full two minutes of being in the room? this moment is so funny i can't believe it's meant to be serious
The best thing about this film is the introduction of Newt’s brother Theseus whom I very much love as a character and I love that he and Newt have a good sibling relationship. The film tries to push in a sort of love triangle thing but I appreciate the subversion of expectations that Theseus and Newt are fighting over the affections of a girl they both love, and Theseus and Leta (especially shown in the deleted scenes) have a happy and secure relationship.
In case you didn't noticed. Grindelwald has elder wand. He has one of deathly hallows. Dumbledore has clock stone was on tom riddles mother's ring jewel. Nagini girl is one of hocrux of voldemort. His pet.
Your videos keep getting better and better. I liked that the first comment the Oak made was my first comment as well, this movie looks stunning, the visual effects are a master piece and it gives this movie more life! I loved Grindelwald here, he was evil but with a twist to him that made people go to him, he is a great villain. It was awful Johnny Deep lost his role on these movies because of the whole terrible problem with Amber and her accusations😪
@@Starfish0. yes, it was really unfair. It just shows how unbalanced the justice system is. And in my opinion, it ruined the third movie. Why would you leave that unrelated comment in a REPLY to someone else talking about something else? Are you okay? @@weaponizedglitter69
People follow Voldemort because they fear him, but people follow Grindelwald because they trust him. That's what i like about Grindelwald.
That’s why Grindelwald > Voldi
@@erikalulea3608 Yes, exactly, but not everybody can see his real motive. I think he's very realistic (and maybe even more dangerous than Voldemort).
It’s crazy to think how much I had missed out on! -Oak
This was confirmed by J.K.R. later. The scene where Dumbledore is looking in the Mirror of Erised, you are seeing a young Dumbledore and Grindlewald together.
but you to kill a to make a horcrux, so Voldermort killed Nagini true self and purely become a beast?
Will they make the last 2 considering it's doing horribly at the box office
oh are they making two more? I mean the third one didn't really feel like an end
Amazing story! :o
I think we did miss it lol
Oak will get to it in the books, Voldemort only made hocruxes from significant & historical magical items. Makes u wonder why he picked Nagini
Good catch I hadn't noticed that lol
Yes I liked that. :)
JCB aka latest Stranger Things sensation
idk about you guys but Leta saying "You never met a monster you coundn't love" to Newt was heartbreaking for me, not only it shows she could never forgive herself for what she did but also shows she knows newt actually loves her..... And when she said "i love you" and they didn't clarified who she was talking to, I think it was kinda with both of them.... she probably didn't chose Nwet cause she thought he deserved someone better...
Tena?
That was Leta, not Tina

Oh, you silly boys. "Closer than brothers" - Dumbledore and Grindelwald were in love.

It's so funny to see young Dumbledore being stylish and then in the Potter ones he being an old classic wizard 🧙♂️🪄
yes, well, after living through a few world wars...
Yeah you can't deny...
Dumbledore's got style!
I wonder whether, after Grindlewald, after everywhere he perceived his ego had lead, Dumbledore decided staying at Hogwarts, being "a regular old wizard" as much as possible was the best choice to make.
Free to express who he truly is💗
Finally the reaction I have been waiting for.
Aurelius is not Aberforth. It's a different Dumbledore. Don't worry, everything will be explained in the next movie.
I really love Grindelwald he's such a great villain . I feel like people misunderstand that character saying that he's not as frightening as voldemort which makes sense to think that bcuz voldemort was feared by everyone . But Grindelwald is just as frightening bcuz of the way he manipulates people to follow him and how good he seems to them although it's all just to get more powerful and to conquer the magic and non-magic world
EXACTLY. But sadly we see this in Europe now , how we go straight in the arms of people like Grindelwald because we fall for the retoric.
@@erikalulea3608 Well, we saw that with Trump too. His followers almost made a coup.
It's always a joy to see you guys back to the potterverse! I love It!
There are 5 fantastic beasts movies planned so the next one is not the finale...
Jude Law is such a great casting choice ♥️
After such flop... It IS the finale.
Yes, Minerva McGonagall shouldn't even be born yet. JKR's timelines never match up correctly. I guess math isn't her thing.
We need to make them aware of the Mcgonagall inconsistency, as it is a major point of critisism for this film.
@@Ri_Shin_Marco You could be right - with the exception of History of Hogwarts. That was History of Magic.
and nobody cares, since the majority doesn't even know this.

@@cadelinha I think there was something in her tea.
Second this, together with Pride and Prejudice 2005, 1995 Persuasion, 2020 Emma even 2007 Northanger Abbey.

The creatures of the magical world are based on different mythologies even though J.K.Rowling created many of her own.
Most of them are form different countries’ mythologies.
Centaurs, Phoenix, mermaids, basilisk, Pegasus, Cerberus (the three-headed-dog), hippogriffs, chimaera… etc are from Hellas🇬🇷
Creatures like: vampires, trolls, fairies, goblins, kelpies, grindylow, imps, gnomes, unicorns… etc are from the Celtic-British mythology
Other creatures like kappa are from Japan.
The kelpies are shape-shifting spirits of Scottish folklore🏴
They are spirits that they live in the Scottish Lochs (lakes) and the appear as black horses.
In Scotland, at the city of Falkirk there a huge statue of two Kelpies!
We can't forget the qilin/kirin and zouwu from China too !
Great stuff here as usual. And I agree with the prequel vs sequel.
I felt Oak's pain when they revealed what the white cloth was. That tore me up inside as well being a parent.
I’m excited when u watch the 3rd one! Secrets of Dumbledore!

When I watched it I loved it and still do, but I was so surprised to hear all the negative critics. I personally really like it.
same
For me I found the writing weak. 😍
For Nagini is Voldemort's snake, the last horcrux in the Harry Potter movies, but we still don't know how exactly she became involved with Voldermort
The Snake lady is Nagini from Harry Potter
Thanks guys, this is the only reason for me to watch post-Fantasic-Beasts movies 😁🍿
😂🤘🤙
What I love about this movies is that we have the chance to see not kids and students, but full-grown people, graduated (or expelled) from school, with all the spells they know. But still, I like the HP saga better

So happy to see you're excited. I won't say how it went for us 😀
Some names you heard in this movie might be familiar:
Nagini: she will become Voldemort's pet snake
Travers: he is an Auror, but his son (or grandson) will be part of Voldemort's Inner Circle
Rosier: her relative, Evan Rosier, will also become part of Voldemort's Death Eaters!
Guys, the guys in the mirror were young Grindelwald and young Dumbledore
25:11 no Dumbledore wasn't Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, he was teaching tranfiguration. I don't know why they change it in movies
I liked the movie before but i find it more fun seeing your reaction to it. Good job guys! And happy that you're enjoying these movies.
Did y’all recognize young Grindelwald is Vecna/Henry Creel/001? He was also in Deathly Hallows 1-it was the first thing I ever saw him in :)
Totally missed it
Jamie Campbell Bower is literally in every movie universe.
It's almost as if they felt it was sacrilegious. . But JK Rowling didn't seem to feel that way
I looked at this series of three films as a separate entity and I judge them on their own merit.
Slightly disappointed that The Oak didn’t recognize Nagini as Voldemort’s snake. Great reaction as always though!
The maledictus girl is Nagini...AKA lord Voldemort's pet👌🏼😂❤️

They really did injustice to Johnny Depp by removing him from the third movie. Judging him even before the trial.... he was such a good Grindelwald.
I agree!! I didn’t like the new grindewald
Mads is a fantastic actor and could’ve been good if he Grindelwald from the start. But he wasn’t. Continuity is key in films with actors and axeing depp was so disappointing:(

12:00 A kelpie is in actual folklore, so they didn't have to create it from scratch, just envision what it would be in Potterverse.

Also, the seaweed creature as you named is a Kelpie which is a sea horse creature from Celtic mythology and it’s known to eat people by luring them into lakes.
Can't wait to see your reaction to the next movie!! ❤❤

His pet.
Dumbledore doesn't acquire the Resurrection Stone until 1996.
6:30 did you notice that elf clean without magic first and then he used magic after Newt and Leta gone
Thank you! This was a good one. Still liked the first just a tiny bit better, but still good.
It was terrible that he lost it all with no proof while Ezra had even gone to jail cause of proven assaults and they kept him.
@@Starfish0. yes, it was really unfair. It just shows how unbalanced the justice system is. And in my opinion, it ruined the third movie. I don't know if I want him back or not, I mean, as a fan yes, I want Johnny back but we don't really know how he is feeling and if doing movies again will help him.
@@alexianigollarza3583 Exactly I agree with that. I mean, warner should at least apologize and invite him back but of course it's up to him to decide what would make him feel better.
What Grindelwald did with Abernathy is what Barty Crouch Jr. Did to escape Azkaban. He changed places with his dying mother.
What people tend not to notice about Crimes of Grindelwald is that it is a mystery like Poirot or the other Agatha Christie characters
