FWF cameo! 🎉 Kudos for all the upside down drawing. It was very easy to follow what changes you’ve made. And I can easily see myself using the alteration for the shirt because a properly fitted shirt for layering is totally missing in my wardrobe. ❤
The FWF enjoyed it I think 😊 I think I can almost add "upside down drawing" to my skill set 🤣 I highly recommend the close fitting shirt as a layering piece. I'm contemplating trying out some the shirts that are attached to bodysuits so they can't ride up but then I have flashbacks to the ill fitting bodysuits I used to wear in the 90's and shudder 🤣
What a great job of upside-down drawing. I easily followed every illustration! I also have this pattern, but haven't made it yet. I especially like your lined version, so after I have the fit mastered, that will be my end goal. And as always, thank you !!
Loved the intro, HOW funny! The hacks to extend your capsule collection was super as well as the fabric and notions choices, wonderful ideas. Thank you.
I'm heading out today to buy this pattern because of this video. Thank you for the great explanation of how you used this pattern in so many ways and how you altered it!
Love it! I love that you show how you can alter things and get more use out of patterns. I think we just want to see you make more of your patterns because we know you’ve got some real goodies in there & can’t wait to see them made up! (Secretly counting down until the Ziggy jacket makes an appearance! I 100% expect that you’re going to try the ‘hard’ things and find out that actually, it’s not that hard and you’re much more skilled than you think!) 🌻💛
I will be getting over the fear! What's the worst that can happen???? It all goes horrible wrong but at least I will have tried and hopefully I can show the process so others don't have to make the mistakes I will! 😊 Thank you for being so patient 😊
Love, love, love this video! Great collection, really clear information on making the various garments. Love the fabric/styling section. Love the humour too 😍🚴♀️🐝
Love the format! I can see it was a lot of work, thank you! Apart from cost of patterns, hacking the pattern really compensates you for time and resources used to achieve a great fit!
Love this - the pattern is so great (found it through you and love it as well!) these ideas are great, definitely will try this out in future. Thanks so much for all your hard work, always looking forward to new content from you! 🥰
😂I get the same comments about the cost and time of knitting. My favourite one is "you love to knit....would you make me a sweater".....hahahaha uh just noooooo
I absolutely LOVE this video!!! So many simple alterations to make a variety of garments out of one pattern. I have added a pinafore and a fitted shirt to my project pile and I can't wait to get started!
Thank you for the tutorial! The shirts you've made look absolutely fab. I bought this pattern a few months ago because of your videos (Vogue should definitely pay you commission for each sale of this pattern ;) ), so I'm looking forward to turning it into a shirt following your instructions.
Wonderful video and ideas. Just curious about wearing the lined skirt over the lined pinafore dress… seems like it would get very bulky &/or very warm (warmth not bad for outdoors in the winter). It doesn’t look bulky on you but just wondering about the actual fit. Also, no alterations to the skirt waist circumference to accommodate the extra layer(s).? Thanks again! Love your process.
Thank you Mary 😊 I actually didn't put the skirt over the pinafore! For the very reason you mentioned ; BULK! I did think about it as an option but I decided that I didn't want to have to accommodate for the extra layers of the heavier corduroy fabric as it might not then look so good over the thinner layers made of viscose and chambray.
How cute is the beginning please 😍 and the FWF 😂.
Really good explanation of the altering process 👍
Thank you 😊
Super collection. loved the twirls at the end. I can now see myself doing a few hacks after your very clear instructions.
This is such an interesting video! I tired to like it twice (just woken up, lol) ❤
Thank you Emma 😊 I shall take the double thumbs up! 😉
Congratulations, well worth the hours of editing!
Thank you 😊
There is a great article in Threads Magazine # 220 (winter 2022) by Linda Lee about creating a capsule wardrobe.

Yes! People who don’t sew, don’t get it. I’m using this and the waist coat pattern to make a capsule wardrobe of wardrobe basics. Thank you!
Really interesting and useful
Thank you Jane 😊
I've been missing your red hair-but I LOVE it black! Really makes your eyes pop! :+)
Simplicity 7764, a vintage pattern, has the same peplum addition. Etsy has it. They used a separate pattern piece.
That intro made me laugh. I also get the, can you make me a dress too? I’ll get you the fabric and you can make it for me 😂
This video has made me look at patterns differntly
Great video! All that editing! I love the collection, especially the striped shirt, suits you perfectly.
