Man! I really could have used this for my previous vehicle my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. It was to much money for me to buy it and have something like this installed. I drove it for 14 yrs. and really wanted to have carplay. The Blazer died, so it comes standard with newer vehicles. I have it on my chevy trax and love it. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Gear Guy... I do like the system but i have to turn the volume up all the way to hear anything (Music/Maps) and it is not that loud at all. I am connected through Bluetooth, am I doing something wrong?
Does this need a working radio? My radio display works and can tune to radio stations. My volune doesn't work. I just wanna know if i get this and hook it up through the cigarette lighter, will i have to play music through its speakers? Versus replacing my actual radio.

When try to mirror to utilize apps like Netflix, Hulu, peacock, etc., it is not playing the video on the box. Did you figure out best way to have success doing that?

My car has Bluetooth, should I connect the CarPlay to the car or my phone??? Would it be possible to connect my phone to the car’s Bluetooth and for my stuff to display on the CarPlay??
Car power to USBC in CarPlay ( only one port) How am I supposed to connect from my phone to CarPlay. It’s already occupied by the car power? In other words there is only 1 USBC.
Did you try to make phone calls over CarPlay / Android Auto? For us the Microphone seems very bad, the person talking inside the car has very low volume and can barely be understood. Do you have tipps on how to improve call quality?
@@Gear_Now okay i was curious because my car has a wiring issue the radio works but the wires are loose i plan on only using it for music until the wires are replaced and then i was planning on getting it put inside my car to replace my radio all together i’m just annoyed with hearing the radio turn on and off repeatedly
I showed it pulled up several times if I played music, I get copyright and I'm not pulling up maps, but it was up on video a few times If I do a follow up I will spend more time going through carplay apps

But amazon like 30 day 100% free return just drop off and go.
@@megamothra2141I connect the screen to my phone via Bluetooth. The sound comes through my speakers via the aux cable because my car doesn’t have Bluetooth. Hope that helps

You have to go through the car fm to set this up ? I have no aux just cigarette lighter port

Technically yes but the speakers small but they do work

No it needs the power to the socket to go off or it will stay on your best option will be a fuse box link

Anything with Bluetooth has a slight lag yes mine does that as well

It uses FM transmitter. Send FM signal to your cars radio.

It’s over FM transmission so the call will sound delayed and fuzzy that feature not great
Can you recieve FM stations thru this so i no longer need the display on my radio?
No, it does not have a radio built into it, but you could stream them though your phone most major radio stations have their own apps now

Probably not without some decent glue a lot of dashes have that texture and makes it impossible for any sucking cups to stick the glass is the best

I didn’t install that yes it has a back up camera but that was a lot of wire running it seemed cool I just didn’t want to mess with it

Pretty simple it’s in the sitting’s section and it’s all linked through Bluetooth so when the unit comes on your linked

Just get a whole new radio pretty easy to install I done a few of them now
