I remember cod when it had: No sbmm, no altered matchmaking, no 30 dollar bundles, copy and paste games, a great campaign and even decent graphics at the time
Seeing these maps is making me unlock memories I didn't know I had. I spent so much time in this game as a kid man. I had it on the DS and exploited a bunch of glitches to get in walls and out of the map and shit haha. What a time
The flamethrower was so cool back in the day! One cod4/waw tip is your artillery/dogs (or air strike/chopper) kills will count towards your next streak if you call them in after you die. Doing that helps you get to your next streak much easier

I think they did a great job at making it good enough and fun enough to use on its own while not making op so that it could be used every life rather than requiring a long charge time or being a killstreak. The look and feel of the vfx/sfx were also amazing

The narration is insane, the campaign was fantastic, the multiplayer yeah not perfect but back then it was so unique as you watched limbs fall off, still my favourite multiplayer experience even tho BO1 was my most time played. I still play this now and again and it’ll never leave my hard drive. It was my first CoD getting to max prestige, 100% all achievements, played an ungodly amount of multiplayer and it truly had some of the best zombies with it being the 1st to introduce it. I will always have memories playing this back in 08/09 even tho it wasn’t my first CoD but it was my first addition to an online multiplayer.
For the flame thrower in bo1, you can swap your flamethrower gun for a weapon on the ground and it’ll regenerate all the flamethrower ammo once you picked it up again.

when you're using the flamethrower in black ops 1, if you pick up a weapon while holding out the flamethrower and pick your gun back up, you'll refill the flamethrower's current tank entirely. it worked something like that, anyways. as long as you never expend both tanks, you'll have infinite ammo. the masterkey is still better, though, unless you run into a bunch of guys packed together without flak jacket pro.
One of the greatest Call of Duty’s this and cod 4 was peak for me. I remember being spoilt for choice campaign first or multiplayer when I queued up for midnight release at blockbuster 😭 glad I witnessed the glory days

Theres a glitch in bo1 with the flamethrower attachment. Leave some ammo before reloading the flamethrower, pick up another gun and pick up your gun again and it should have full ammo
My favorite sniping class in WaW is a M1 Garand with the Sniper Scope and the Flame Thrower as my blue perk. You don’t need Bandolier since the M1 Garand comes with 72 bullets. You should try this class for a video
the best with flamethrowers whas Wolfenstein (2009) also the headshots and so where realy realistic for that time. and brutal you could shoot a leg off and the head.
If there was customizable killstreaks in this game I would have definitely preferred the flamethrower be a killstreak and be able to sprint faster with it. That would be insane. I would love to see a World at War remaster or just a game like World at War with some tweaks. It's the simplicity of older CoDs that made it so fun. No overthinking. No BS. Just fun.

The Browning M1919 was also a sick gun in this game. I felt like I was a Terminator running around with a belt-fed crew-serve weapon.
