I replaced the bands in my seats 4 months ago (had zero elasticity left), its amazing how such a little detail makes a huge difference in how a car looks.
Just be extremely careful with that plastic piece that goes around the net it will literally break if you breathe on it wrong. Just don't apply any Force to any of it then you'll be fine.
Silicone spray is an excellent lubricant to help slide plastic and rubber parts apart and back together. I use to loosen everything from rubber hoses and plastic trim.
Successful operation. Your videos are so helpful and easy to follow.. even to a noob like me.
Great I'm so glad they're helpful.

Yeah you're right that stuff is super slippery!
Excellent hack, will try this soon on my Mercedes-Benz 👍👍👍
Works every time and allows you to keep all of the original parts on the car.

You could of tried using ignition wires crimping pliers. Just an idea.
Great idea!
It's such a poor design. That elastic never lasted long when new.
Yeah you're right however this procedure works really well and the elasticity is still there.
It is complicated
Hahahaha yes
