    Unfortunately despite our best efforts, 5 months after filming this video, Billy has decided to move on from his business.
    When deciding what brand to work with on this project - Billy's was undoubtably the most difficult due to the huge amounts of debt and lack of unique products.
    His story however, was something we couldn't go past and at least try to help.
    I will continue to help Billy with his future career and have no doubt he will do great things.

    Thank you so much to everyone who donated through GoFundMe or purchased something from Billy's business.
    Billy's mom didn't feel comfortable being filmed...
    However, when I first met her, she immediately gave me a huge hug and showed deep appreciation for everything I was doing to help Billy.
    When she heard that I had donated $10,000 to support Billy, she began crying with appreciation.
    She is a kind soul, very much like Billy.
    She told me stories about staying awake for days in pain due to her illness.
    These nights would break most people, but she said she uses them to become stronger.
    We need more love and support for young entrepreneurs so their mistakes don't stop them from participating in the game we all love - the game of business and self-development.

    Great job in helping to save the business. It's just a pity you didn't show those little things that make up the whole. It would be nice to see how you worked on the website and how the conversion rate increased after the changes were implemented. Also, how did the warehouse clearance sale event go in the end? How much profit did you make from it? What ads were released on Facebook, and what effect did they have? The episode would be longer as a result, but certainly more interesting with a large dose of knowledge for the viewers.

      The business was not saved, it went under 5 months ago. I think it was pretty obvious that a warehouse sale wouldn’t be enough as the main driver to overcome the debt.

    • @MadeByBishop
      @MadeByBishop 2 месяца назад +1

      @@AL-cg5zv I agree. If the guy was in over $100k AUD in debt (and I assume it was probably well north of that number), a warehouse sale and a few tenths on your website conversion rate is not going to solve things overnight. That's not to say the strategy wasn't right, just that the video is lacking a lot of detail. Failure hurts hard, really hard, but experiences like this are the best form of education there is. If this guy has grit, he will already have bounced back stronger and wiser.

    • @despecc
      @despecc Месяц назад +1

      @@MadeByBishop The video lacks in detail because it was produced like an entertaining and dramatic TV show more than an educational video, and it served its purpose well. I'm in a similar situation with my designer brand and there are next to no resources where I reside. Luckily I have no debts and trying to secure funding to re-launch. I also enrolled in college for business in my 30's just so I understand more of what I need to do. Hopefully it works out

      Wishing you the best of luck with your designer brand! I have a free e-commerce course linked in my bio that you might find helpful. Additionally, I’m currently working on a 30-hour course, set to launch in November, which will provide a step-by-step guide. Stay tuned.

    Wow! The production of this show was mind-blowing. I loved the pacing and story-telling. I appreciate the general ideas of persistence and grit but if there was a bit more ecommerce value it would've taken this to a whole new level. I would've loved to have seen how you got the warehouse sale together? How did you change the marketing? What did you do to the website to improve the conversion rate? What are some effective bundling practices which you implemented? How did you improve the stores overall branding? Why did this all work? This would've taken the show to the next level! Thanks Davie mate!

      Thanks for your feedback! Your suggestions for including more e-commerce details are great! We’ll definitely consider diving into aspects like the warehouse sale, marketing changes, and website improvements in future episodes. Appreciate your support and insights! 🙌
