Here’s my story. I looked this song up because I heard it on Louder with Crowder. I am 50 years old, so I recognized, but, didn’t really remember HR Pufnstuf. So, I looked it up. The boy in the video was named Jack Wild. He was friends with Phil Collins (the singer) as a child, Phil’s mother was a talent agent and discovered Jack. He was one of the youngest nominees for an Academy Award for his role as the Artful Dodger in the movie Oliver which led to him getting the lead role in the children’s TV show, HR Pufnstuf. The sad thing was that Jack ended up like a lot of child actors. Despite being very talented where he could act, dance and sing (he released three albums), he didn’t think he was anything special. Due to alcoholism, his career fizzled, he had health as well as personal issues and eventually died of cancer at the young age of 53. I watched a few videos of interviews he gave over the years and he was very likeable. It made me quite sad to see what had happened to the happy, energetic, talented kid in this video. My intention isn’t to bring people down, but, I thought people might want to know what became of Jack. A real tragedy. I hope he is at peace.

If you type something like “TikTok Elf Girl” into RUclips search, you can find videos with the song title right in it. That’s probably how people found it. Puffinstuff coloring book, and we're absolutely dying of laughter at how poorly of a job whoever was drawing in the outlines did, and how hilarious the characters and text in the book were. If you type something like “TikTok Elf Girl” into RUclips search, you can find videos with the song title right in it. That’s probably how people found it. It would be better if there was a feature to list the songs that are used in a TikTok, so people wouldn’t have to put in all that time to finding it.

My best friend and I were at his cabin in a small town on Vancouver Island, the winter of 2012 i think. We were going through a bookshelf that was there and found an old H.R. Puffinstuff coloring book, and we're absolutely dying of laughter at how poorly of a job whoever was drawing in the outlines did, and how hilarious the characters and text in the book were. The next morning we went straight to his computer to look up what the hell H.R. Puffinstuff was, and this was the first video that came up. I'm so glad it was because the visceral feeling of nostalgia get every time I come back to this video is the exact feeling I had when we first watched it.
