NEVER pressure the cans when there's air trapped inside between the pads. What you just did by squeezing the cups against the table is a surefire why to damage the driver. Never do that, nor against your head to obtain a better seal.
They should not be that fragile, or companies would prolly mention that on their product-page. EDIT: Also, there are air-outlets on both ear cups. Dont worry that much. As there is no vacuum with these.

Apparently the Active noise cancellation can pretty much cancel out a vacuum cleaner right next to your mic if you push that button. I dont use the mic, but people either say its the best mic or the worst depending on if they can configure it correctly.
You're the first person I've seen to say that these don't sound good out of the box. In fact, most tech channels say that they are so well tuned that the best sounding is the out of box Audeze setting. Mine show up later today so I'll get to hear for myself.
@@xreznr163 I think they sound great out of the box, however, went through three pairs this past week. Two of them produce a horrendous high frequency squeal when using side tone over approx. 60% without the boom mic. The second pair single completely died after installing the firmware update. Three pairs and said screw it. Sticking with Astro a50s.
@dextrip25 well that's unfortunate. I've been hearing great things about them, a lot of mixed reviews. I'm trying to find a good headset, had these TB ones for a year, and I'm about done with TB as a whole. It's really difficult to find a good headset for console, at least, on pc, you have waayyy more options lmao

SAVED ME FROM GETTING THE A50S OR VIRTUOSO MAX. DESIGN ISN'T AS COOL AS THERIS BUT THE QUALITY SOUNDS UNMATCHED AND PREMIUM BUILD. GREAT VIDEO! GREAT ENERGY!
I think I prefer a premium build quality rather than being lightweight. I already wear VR headset often. So, for this thing being lighter than a VR headset is perfectly fine for me.
Cant wait to get mine, should be here in a few days. Just some things: Dont remove the screws, just pull the strap. Looking at your EQ, are you a bass head, or does it lack bass by default? Dont push down the header in the table like that, its bad for the drivers pushing them vacuum to a surface. Do a mic check while saying a certain phrase, using your studio mic and the audeze for better comparison. Now we hear the mic bit no comparison to how it 'should' sound. Software should work perfect at this time from what i read, never had problems with the software when using my Penrose on either Windows or Android.

THIS IS SUCH A HARD DECISION, because of everyone saying there's a ton of defects with the audeze maxwell, thinking of going with the blackshark V2 PRO 2023? What do yall think?
I have the Razer and it's overall on the low side of volume out of the box, but it's extremely comfortable and the mic sounds amazing. I'm no audiophile but compared to a Corsair Virtuoso it feels a little less... vibrant on the sound. Hope this helps you!
For sound quality Audeze or just get what I have Razer blackshark V2 pro wireless Gen 1 hooked up with 3.5 to sound blaster x3 amp quite a bit of tweaking /adjusting on the app for the amp and your good to go A lot cheaper and even cheaper still if you buy the wired v2's £35 plus refurbished creative soundblaster X3 around £50/£70
Would some Wicked Cushions Freeze Gel ear pads. Then use it on Immersive mode. I don’t trade mine for any other in terms quality and immersion for games.
Additionally, I would update the headset, Audeze have corrected some bugs on the headset. And you can use it without the MIC extension, it has internal mic as well.

Got this headset, and was able to use it for 3 days with my PC. It's a good headset, but way overpriced imo. And here's the thing. If you already have a headset as good as a Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless, do NOT get this headset, because it's hardly an upgrade. I've had issues with mine and I'm going to return it. For starters, the headset took 15 seconds to connect to the USB dongle each time I turned it on, and that was a huge problem for me. Secondly, the range on the headset was horrible. Once I leave my room, the headset automatically disconnects and has to be reconnected to the USB dongle, resulting in another 15 second wait. The build quality is actually quite excellent, and the styling is great too, but man this headset is also really heavy compared to other headsets I have used. This headset is going to be returned. Not worth the money imo.
Arctis pro wireless are total garbage compared to the Maxwell's.. I returned the Nova Pro's after 2 weeks. Overpriced crap.. they basically sounded the same as my Nova 7x. I have my Maxwell's for 3 months now.. zero issues with range, never disconnected, and the sound quality is out of this world. I recommend EVERYONE to get the Maxwell's.. especially over the Nova Pro's.
@@VonDutchNL I mean... you could be right, but at the very least, my Arctis Pro Wireless works as it should, the Maxwell keeps having complaints of issues on Reddit. Whether it keeps disconnecting, or it has other issues, the Maxwell isn't a perfect headset. I will say the Nova Pro's aren't that great either. The Maxwell is a mixed bag, you have to be lucky you get one that isn't awful. The sound quality is not "out of this world" as you claim lmao. It's okay, but hardly a huge improvement over the Arctis Pro Wireless.
Sounds like your maxwell has defect. I have both nova pro wireless and maxwell and i can say that maxwell is absolutely an upgrade and a big one in terms of sound quality.
@phil_matic 90mm planar magnetic drivers vs 40mm basic drivers. The Pro wireless sounded good yes.. so does my Nova 7x and it's 150 instead of 300. But if you can't hear the difference between the Maxwell's and Pro wireless there's definitely something wrong with your ears.. completely different league.
