Bro actually in Hindu mythology there is mentioned that kali was born from Lord bhramha.. Actually the story is that from Lord bhramha's stomach ( front side ) Dharma was born and from Lord bhramha's Back ( Back Side ) Adarma Was Born..And Kali is the Great Grand Son of Lord bhramha..And Lord Bhramha himself created the Gandiv Bow..So As kali is a part or reincarnation of Lord bhramha..that's why he is able to lift the gandiv..As you see in the movie yashkin's ( Kali's ) last form was quite similar to lord Bhramha..
Right after I came out watching the movie, I felt that he's Brahma, and doesn't want Kalki to be born as he doesn't want to again create an earth. Because he knows, every time he creates a world, that faces the same problem because humans are inherently bad. We can see the evolution motifs on the side walls leading to his chamber, maybe he's the creator! Then he's shown to be a saint always meditating, and then can lead the Gandiv. I don't think his tear killed the scientist, I think maybe he just gave the guy the last drop of water before death. I didn't think of him as a part of Brahma, so your theory makes perfect sense that way!
I think kamal hassan sir character create complex because he think himself as krishna as krishna has his own city on water called "Dwarka" and as dwarka submerged into water so it should not happen to his city complex he created it in air balancing on land .

Or maybe Dulkar Salman actually stole him and that's why he was on the wanted list of complex . It can only make sense if by some natural disaster the ashes / graves of the Mahabhart era resurfaced and Yashkin got the DNA samples of all the major characters including Krishna . Hey Mohit bhaiya. Yaskin thinking of himself as Kalki makes a lot of sense. In the opening animated sequence when Ashwatthama was singing the song it has 2 lines similar to what Yaskin said at the end in post credit scene. In Ashwatthama's song he says "Dharti ki kokh se janm lekar aa jao" & Yaskin also said "Dardarati dharti ki kokh se ab janmega". In the song Ashwatthama says "Srishti ka chakra ghuma dharm bankar aa jao " & Yaskin says "Jagannath ke rath ka chakra esa ghumke aayega". Some parallels i noticed between the parichhed and Ashwathhama's song.

I have a mind blowing theory, captain is actually duryodhana. Know it sounds meaningless but it makes a lot of sense, when you try to understand his character. In mahabharat duryodhana is the first person to accept karna as warrior and gave him recognition. His entire life was changed by him. Similarly captain saved bhairava and gave him a new life. Duryodhana was karnas best friend and the person who matters the most. Same with captain and bhairava. Duryodhana won pandavas and droupadi in gambling. As karma captain lost bhairava in gambling. Bhairava betrayed captain which is one of the many contradiction to karnas character, which i will explain later. There is a high probability that bhairava got captain caught because of some reason. And captain is probably held prisoners somewhere in the complex, so bhairavas only goal in life is to go to complex so that he can free captain. That explains why is so determined for it. Also it's worth noting that bharaivas life will not only a redemption arc for karna, but also opposite of karna. For example karna was dhaanshoor on contrary bhairava takes things/money from people and never returns it. Karna had curse of forgetting in the most crucial moment. But on contrary bhairava remembered (that he is karna) in the most crucial moment. Karna was always calm and serious while fighting. Bhairava is lazy, funny . Similarly captains character can provide a small redemption arc for duryodhana too. Yaskin is whthert kali or not, yaskin getting gaandiva simply means, bhairava will have a fight against gandivdhari either yaskin or someone else(reincarnation of arjun on evil side), and bhairava will defeat him, as to give Justice for karna in kurukshetra.

My theory- Vishnuyash is supposed to be avtaar of Swayambhu Manu, as bhagwaan Vishnu ne unhe vardaan diya tha ki Manu will reincarnate as Maharaj Dashrath, Vasudev, and then Vishnuyash, aur teeno bar bhagwan inhi ke child ke rup me avtar lenge. Now there are few possibilities if the makers consider borrowing from the actual scriptures. Yaskin in the movie is supposedly known for around 200 years, and uska ek dialogue bhi tha k " bhot samay bad kisine muje maarne ka try kra" , that might imply k he has fought some battles which got close enough k isko maarne tak baat agyi. Possibly vishnuyash would've been one of the prominent and gifted figures who came against and gave a fight to bring an end to whatever the demon is inside yaskin, and the demon possessed his body, essentially making it the vessel of kali, because of the physical and spiritual strength vishnuyash possessed. But still not strong enough to hold kali, isliye yaskin is searching/creating the child born with the serum made by this body (which is vishnuyash's body basically) but enhanced with yaskin's powers. Or a totally different thing ki yaskin killed vishnuyash but extracted his dna to make a serum to create a child strong enough to hold the evil inside the kid, not knowing that he is basically completing the prophecy of the birth of Kalki. Right after I came out watching the movie, I felt that he's Brahma, and doesn't want Kalki to be born as he doesn't want to again create an earth. Because he knows, every time he creates a world, that faces the same problem because humans are inherently bad. We can see the evolution motifs on the side walls leading to his chamber, maybe he's the creator! Then he's shown to be a saint always meditating, and then can lead the Gandiv. I don't think his tear killed the scientist, I think maybe he just gave the guy the last drop of water before death. I didn't think of him as a part of Brahma, so your theory makes perfect sense that way!

I think it can be Brahma Padartha also known as Lord Krishna's heart. As per Kalki 2898 AD, except for Kashi, all cities are destroyed. In the opening animated sequence when Ashwatthama was singing the song it has 2 lines similar to what Yaskin said at the end in post credit scene.
In Ashwatthama's song he says "Dharti ki kokh se janm lekar aa jao" & Yaskin also said "Dardarati dharti ki kokh se ab janmega".

I have a mind blowing theory, captain is actually duryodhana. Know it sounds meaningless but it makes a lot of sense, when you try to understand his character. In mahabharat duryodhana is the first person to accept karna as warrior and gave him recognition. His entire life was changed by him. Similarly captain saved bhairava and gave him a new life. Duryodhana was karnas best friend and the person who matters the most. Same with captain and bhairava. Duryodhana won pandavas and droupadi in gambling. As karma captain lost bhairava in gambling. Bhairava betrayed captain which is one of the many contradiction to karnas character, which i will explain later. There is a high probability that bhairava got captain caught because of some reason. And captain is probably held prisoners somewhere in the complex, so bhairavas only goal in life is to go to complex so that he can free captain. That explains why is so determined for it. Also it's worth noting that bharaivas life will not only a redemption arc for karna, but also opposite of karna. For example karna was dhaanshoor on contrary bhairava takes things/money from people and never returns it. Karna had curse of forgetting in the most crucial moment. But on contrary bhairava remembered (that he is karna) in the most crucial moment.
Karna was always calm and serious while fighting. Bhairava is lazy, funny . Similarly captains character can provide a small redemption arc for duryodhana too. Yaskin is whthert kali or not, yaskin getting gaandiva simply means, bhairava will have a fight against gandivdhari either yaskin or someone else(reincarnation of arjun on evil side), and bhairava will defeat him, as to give Justice for karna in kurukshetra.

Raya is a very important character in the movie. Maybe he is the chosen one.
It was a nice way of indicating that Ashwathama is incomparably more powerful than everyone else alive by making him stand 8+ feet tall, towering over everybody else.
Also, during the fight when they were transporting Deepika, there is a huge statue of an astronaut pointing upwards, whose palm breaks and falls down, that looks a lot like Kamal Hasan, that could be his backstory... And they'll connect it with that in the sequel maybe...

My theory-
Vishnuyash is supposed to be avtaar of Swayambhu Manu, as bhagwaan Vishnu ne unhe vardaan diya tha ki Manu will reincarnate as Maharaj Dashrath, Vasudev, and then Vishnuyash, aur teeno bar bhagwan inhi ke child ke rup me avtar lenge.
Now there are few possibilities if the makers consider borrowing from the actual scriptures.
Yaskin in the movie is supposedly known for around 200 years, and uska ek dialogue bhi tha k " bhot samay bad kisine muje maarne ka try kra" , that might imply k he has fought some battles which got close enough k isko maarne tak baat agyi. Possibly vishnuyash would've been one of the prominent and gifted figures who came against and gave a fight to bring an end to whatever the demon is inside yaskin, and the demon possessed his body, essentially making it the vessel of kali, because of the physical and spiritual strength vishnuyash possessed. But still not strong enough to hold kali, isliye yaskin is searching/creating the child born with the serum made by this body (which is vishnuyash's body basically) but enhanced with yaskin's powers.
Or a totally different thing ki yaskin killed vishnuyash but extracted his dna to make a serum to create a child strong enough to hold the evil inside the kid, not knowing that he is basically completing the prophecy of the birth of Kalki.
Kyuki Kalki in scriptures is mentioned as the "Turner of the Wheel"
Either it is kali himself trying to stop the birth of kalki, and become the turner of the wheel himself, and break the cycle of Satyug-Kalyug, and "Naya yug lana chahta ho"

while watching the film i had this huge usual feeling of yaskin resembling kalki side than kalee who have enjoyed the evil in humans and grew it more than yaskin trying to unite them under one roof. But if this theory suggested by Mohit is true I'll give my heart to Nag Ashwin cause its makes alot sense with a delusional god yaskin being another pawn of kalee. really hope it gets true
