    Shalom from Texas... I am very grateful to The Most High for this journey I'm on. At first, when the youtube algorithm presented Rabbi Singer, I was hesitant about watching his videos due to the belief system that kept me in the dark. I was content where I was at and stopped searching through the word of Elohym. It was like I reached a dead-end, and I lost my zeal for searching for answers to questions that were buried in the description of the church. I thank the Elohym of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for his mercy and patience. I thank Rabbi Singer for his many years of work and obedience to Hashem.

    The situation will get scarier for us (the jewish people), and when we, as a whole, realize there is nothing we can rely on other than Him, Hashem will save us in the merit of those who keep His torah, as it says in deuteronomy 32 verse 36.

    • @Raizel613
      @Raizel613 5 месяцев назад +4

      @David-rq1xj A] We believe in the concept of ‘hishtadlut,’ which means that while we place our faith, trust and reliance upon God, we are also expected to take practical steps to protect and sustain ourselves. Just as King Solomon created alliances to ensure the security of his people, so too are modern efforts. However, relying solely on miracles or divine intervention doesn’t align with our traditional approach to life's challenges. As the Talmud says: "One should not rely on a miracle" *[Tractate Shabbat 32a].* The Assyrians' story teaches us that history is influenced not only by geopolitical and military factors, but also by a divine sense of justice and a greater plan.

    • @Raizel613
      @Raizel613 5 месяцев назад +3

      @David-rq1xj C] Our nation's fate is influenced by its spiritual state. The safety and prosperity of our people is connected to our faithfulness to the covenant with God, as seen in the prophetic writings of our Tanach. While military strength matters, ethical and spiritual factors also play a crucial role in a nation's success and protection. *[see Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28].* Teshuvah, as in the Book of Jonah, requires genuine repentance which is not always easy, but still possible. It’s an interplay of justice, mercy and inscrutable divine will. It calls us to do our best to live righteously and according to the will of our Creator, following his commandments and so on.

    • @Raizel613
      @Raizel613 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@David-rq1xj Hi. Thank you for your response. I’m not sure what you mean by your last comment. 🤔 Please correct me if I misunderstood. A] Teshuvah involves repentance/regret for past wrongdoings, confessing to God, and committing to change. The Rambam (Maimonides) outlines these in his laws of repentance (Hilchot Teshuvah), which are important for seeking forgiveness and improving one's spiritual and ethical conduct. The observance of God's commandments is the core of Jewish life (religious, social, and personal life); it’s a divine guide for living a moral, ethical, and spiritual life, and a covenantal relationship between the Jewish people and God.

    • @Raizel613
      @Raizel613 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@David-rq1xj B] Jewish tradition encourages both action and prayer. But, prayer alone is not enough; one needs to also perform mitzvot and acts of kindness (g'milut hasadim). We have to actively participate in our own moral and spiritual development. This involves following God’s commandments, seeking forgiveness, and being part of a community that supports each other through prayer, studying Torah, and practicing good deeds. Together, we show our commitment to God's will.

    The Hebrews predominantly dismissed the New Testament not through a meticulous examination of the Tanakh's contents to assess the truth claims made in the NT, but rather due to its mere presence. The notion of scrutinizing the Tanakh for validation is considered unnecessary, given the belief that the Torah's perfection inherently excludes any possibility of incompleteness or fallibility, thus guarding against a potential logical fallacy. Despite having conducted such examinations, with the Tanakh discrediting every claim asserted by the NT, this stems from the fundamental belief that the Torah cannot contain any falsehood (Proverbs 8:8-9). Compromising its integrity is viewed as a threat to the truth. Any factor leading to integrity issues in the Hebrew Scriptures is likened to the analogy of a 'fruit from a poisonous tree,' thereby rendering such a factor false. (Proverbs 4:7. 10:9, 11:3; Psalms 25:21)
    Furthermore, the Torah is irreplaceable and lacks a sequel or extension; it is a complete circuit, from its inception (Proverbs 8:22; Genesis 1:1) to its conclusion (Isaiah 46:10). In Jewish theology, the Torah is personified as "She" (Proverbs 8:1-4, 3:18), Hence, the Torah is considered the embodiment of perfect and eternal truth for mankind (Psalm 119:160, 119:89; Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 19:7, 119:142). The consensus among the Prophets and Writings solidifies the unmistakable perfection of the Torah, making it evident that anything contrary is inherently false.

      The tradition claims it was Moses who wrote the Torah, but the Torah itself says otherwise. In the Torah, there is a difference between the "revelation" (What Moses received directly from Hashem or via and Angel, where we feel Hashem speaking) and narrations, what scribes wrote describing events. 🙂

    Human philosophy basics: All humans fear the dark, fear death and as children they are trained to imprint themselves with an internal magical entity that calms and reassures them. This entity is the one accepted by the family, the tribe and the culture. Quite simply it is the human equivalent of a duckling imprinting on the first thing it sees.

    Why the Bible is NOT trustworthy:
    Some claim Moses wrote the Law or Torah ca. 1446 BC based on 1 Kings 6:1.
    The issue?
    Genesis 36:33 mentions the Edomite city of Bozrah.
    So, big deal!
    How does Bozrah's mention "prove" Moses did not write the Torah in 1446 BC as per 1 Kings 6:1?
    In the 1970s archaeologists excavated biblical Bozrah, today rendered Buseirah in Arabic.
    They were stunned at what they uncovered, the city was no earlier than the 8th century BC (the 700s BC), based on its pottery debris.
    Some scholars came to realize it was highly unlikely that a Moses in 1446 BC would make mention of city that did not come into being until some 700 years after his demise in Moab.
    Genesis 36:33 KJV
    "And Bela died, and Jo'bab the son of Ze'rah of BOZRAH, reigned in his stead."
    Conclusions:
    1. Moses did NOT write about Bozrah in Genesis 36:33, someone else did, someone living no earlier than the 8th century BC.
    2. This someone could have been fraudulently passing himself off as being a Moses of 1446 BC (cf. 1 Kings 6:1).
    3. Some scholars might claim the mention of Bozrah is simply a "later up-dating" of Moses' 15th century BC Torah, but the problem is, what else in the Torah, is not of Moses' World, but of a later time period, the 8th century BC or later (the 7th or 6th century BC)?
    4. Bozrah is an example of a First Millennium BC "anachronism" appearing within a supposedly Second Millennium BC (1446 BC) Torah.
    5. Scripture has the Torah being found by the High Priest, Hil-ki-ah, in the Temple, and shown to King Josiah, who enacts a purge of pagan worship in the Temple.
    Josiah reigned in the 7th century BC and Bozrah is 8th century BC.
    I find this "link-up" amazing, a city no earlier than the 8th century BC appearing in a Torah or Book of the Law," found by Hil-ki--ah in the 7th century BC!
    Perhaps the Torah's author is Hil-ki-ah, NOT Moses?
    6. The Primary History (Genesis-2 Kings) ends with Judah and Israel in Exile cf. 2 Kings 25:27. Perhaps Hil-ki-ah's Torah was carried off to Babylon and reworked or updated, to reflect Moses' claim the nation would go into Exile (cf. Deuteronomy 32:1-51).

    So, I'm typing as I'm listening, and my chat is really with Pastor Tom, though I don't know how I'd bet it to him.
    1st part: Paul also claimed to be a proud Jew, even a Pharisee... that doesn't mean one's doctrine is all right. Paul's doctrine was wrong, & he despised his birthright. (Phil.3). All 8 Sacred Texts that he quotes in Rom.10, he twists, underquotes, removes from, adds to, replaces important concepts with Jesus, etc, stringing just a verse or two from each together and claims they all point to Jesus & the church. E.g., Isa.52 is about Good News of the return from exile; Paul claims it's about "good news" of Jesus. It's a sacrilege to twist & misquote God's Holy Tanakh like that!
    Later part: This (Isaiah's prophecy about Qoresh / Cyrus) isn't the 1st time a king is prophesied by name a few 100 yrs before he came. In 1 Kings 13, King Josiah is prophesied by name, and is born & fulfills the prophecy in 2 Kings 22, I think some 300 years later.
    When a person discovers that "NT" has some grave errors and purposeful interpolations, purposeful misquoting & underquoting of God's Sacred Tanakh, the logical Q is, "Ok, so 'NT' isn't trustworthy. How do I know if Tanakh is?"
    I asked God Q's like this after discovering in 2022-10 how terribly Paul quotes Deut.32, just one verse of 18 verses about the same enemy, and esp after seeing vs.31, that the rock (god) of this enemy - which Paul inadvertently (like a foolish crook leaving clues at a crime-scene) reveals is the church - is not like the Rock (God) of Israel, i.e., Jesus is not the God of Israel as "NT" claims in SOME places; rather, he operates under "the Morning Star spirit" of Babylon, as "NT" admits in other places (compare Isa.14 with 2 Pet.1:17-21; Rev.2:28; 22:16. I understand this is the same as the Queen of Heaven, aka Mother & Child cult of Babylon, or Tamuz & husband-son Dumuzid, etc. (many names for same or similar false gods). The church still worships this, the "mother" promoting the "son", as "she/it" did in 1917 at Fatima, stating that the world must repent & convert to her son or they would experience a worse war & also Russian arrows. Huh, so who gets blamed for Europe's woes during WWII? Those who refuse to convert to "her son"!
    This is all false prophecy not dissimilar to the last book of the "NT": Revelation, which gives us no hope against the "beast", but makes us inactive against it. Tanakh prophecy is clear & tells us what to do.
    I asked why Gen.1 & 2 are using different names for God, esp after someone put in my mind that we read Gen.2 backward into Gen.1, much like Christians read "NT" backward into Tanakh. Rabbi Singer answered it for me quickly in a vid I discovered shortly after. I'd have to relook at it to remember exactly what it said... but it sorted out my creeping doubts.
    And then, for me, the answer came when I prayed to "God of Creation, Who created the stars, etc," and wanted to know if I was on the right track. I looked at all I knew about various religions and compared them to God who created those amazing stars. And I couldn't find one of the religions matched such an awesome, incredible, orderly, loving, righteous God... none except Torah's laws which are so perfectly balanced, which give victory over sin, and describe Who God is.

      The "NT" you quote from is absolutely NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God, and NO FURTHER SCRIPTURES were given to mankind by God AFTER Mt. Sinai, therefore Christianity absolutely did NOT come from God!
      PLEASE learn from the Orthodox Rabbis, as commanded by God in Deut. 17:8-11. In the absence of the Temple, the Rabbis are our spiritual teachers, since they have been studying the original Hebrew scriptures all the way back to Mt. Sinai - something Christianity REFUSED to do, leaving them in profound darkness as to what God ACTUALLY said to us there.

      @@standingontherockofages: Please read my replies to others in this comment section. As a former born-again, baptized, Evangelical Baptist Christian, and then a 'Messianic' Christian, for a total of 40+ YEARS, I agree with Rabbi Singer, since he has studied the original Hebrew scriptures since childhood, and the Christian Bible, IN DETAIL, for the past 40+ YEARS, so he knows the Christian Bible FAR better than ANY Pastor, Minister, Pope, etc.

    If Moses wrote the Torah, than Marcus, Mathew, Luke and John wrote the gospels but that is only the religious people's desires. As literature has only served to political purposes, or to acquire lands in the past, and now serves only as a means of subsistence and for others as a means of enrichment.

      The Jewish people have an unbroken historical tradition to the very time of Moses that he is the author of the Torah.

    *1 Corinthians 9:20-22*
    20 I have *become* like a Jew to the Jews, in order that I may *gain* the Jews. To those under the law I *became* as under the law (although I myself am not under the law) in order that I may *gain* those under the law. 21 To those outside the law I *became* as outside the law (although I subject to the law of Christ) in order that I may *gain* those outside the law. 22 To the weak I *became* weak, in order that I may *gain* the weak. I have *become* all things to all people that I may *gain* some of them.
