    You should organize your video in a playlist in the order that a new skater should follow them! I’ve utilized every single one of your videos and I can skate better than ever thought and I just recently started! I just know that in my own experience, basically having a “weekly lesson” in order for beginners would help so much!

    I’ve been practising the heel together toe together, but I haven’t actually tried spinning because I can’t quite get what to do with my feet during the spin. When you spin it just looks like your feet are almost gliding around so I have to admit I’m a bit nervous to try!
    Ps. I love your videos ! A lot of RUclips skaters do a lot of flashy moves and fancy editing with no real training so I treasure yours !!

    • @Dirtydeborahharry
      @Dirtydeborahharry  5 лет назад +66

      First off … thank you for your kind words. I appreciate you watching and support. When you first start "heels then toes" you will start gaining speed as you pull your arms to your chest. In order to continue to build on that momentum, just pull your arms in tighter and lift your body weight up through your core area thereby lessening the weight that is actually down on your skates. You will start to feel your feet "lift up". At that point … just hold on and go with it. You will feel all of your energy pulling in and up. One foot will be balanced on the toe and the other on the heel.

    SO needed a new video today! My Godmother passed away Wednesday. We're skating tomorrow as a tribute (she loved to skate when she was younger and she was very close to my children, even video taped the birth of 2 of them for me) so...we'll be BEGGING the rink to play Old Time Rock and Roll if we have to!! (Most family's prefer Kool & the Gang's "Celebration" for weddings, graduations parties, etc. OTRaR has been my family's "party anthem" since I was 5...when the song first debuted.) Trying to be happy - I know she wouldn't want us to wallow - but skating with tears might be a bit difficult. Doing it anyway!

    I suppose what my brain still isnt connecting on is this - moving from stepping quickly to actually spinning? I can do the hell up toe down in series of sets quite quickly and for awhile ... but I am not actually "spinning". hehe. SOS

    It's been a while since I didn't roller skate, despite the fact that I can roller skate better with roller blades, I decided to purchase roller skates anyway, and I'm so grateful for your videos, they are helping me a lot

    wow this has really helped me a lot, but one thing I keep on doing is lifting up to top half on my wheels.

    I never thought how important three turns are, but a spin is a three turn that keeps going and going and going. Two-foot spins don't start with a three turn, but most spins start with a three turn. The Salchow jump starts with a forward outside three turn, the toe loop (Mapes) starts with a forward inside three turn. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. Thanks for sharing.💕

    I know this video is a year old, but when you refer to head & shoulders first it made me think about driving... no one normally would make a turn without looking (turning head) first - maybe use that in future videos? I love all your references 🤣 and fun zone is an improvement on carb area lol
